This just proves how fragile the human body really is. Horrible life-changing traumas can happen to anyone, young or old.:sad::sad:

I can't imagine what the girl must be feeling right now fighting for her life. It's too horrible to even contemplate.

So you don't care about her plight? I think a 20 year old model suddenly getting quadruple amputations is not a non-story.

Why should I care about her any more than I care about any of the other millions of people I've never met enduring horrendous experiences right now?

The amputations are irrelevant because if the quotes in the article are accurate her chances of survival are virtually zero. If there was a story it would be that this model is about to die. But the amputations thing makes for a more sensationalistic attention-grabbing article.

What if she pulls through? Then the story is how does 20yo former model adjust to new life as quadruple amputee?

The girl just died according to CNN. Life can be a real shit.

The Fedtard is right, empathy should only be reserved for the plight of good looking people. I've read some pretty reliable studies that say ugly people have no feelings.

So basically no empathy for the girl because she was good looking? She is not deserving of humanity? This is not the world I want to live in.

What a melodramatic post. The media reports on this story is a result of her being a model - your subsequent empathy is quite superficial and cynical.

Well, in the meanwhile the girl is dead. Her chances to survive were obviously very little, but still IF she had survived, what kind of a life this would have been?

 and condolences to all the people that are now grieving about her.
