Awesome field :yeah:

Considering Crivoi and Cipolla have a good shot to get in, I will probably try to make it back to NL to go to qualies.

L'Equipe says Mahut is hoping to be back for Marseille (always the same shoulder injury), so I doubt he will play here.

I'd like to see Berrer in as well... he's such a friendly guy :) Met him in Stuttgart last year.

Considering the likes of Petzschner, Korolev, Rochus, Becker, Minar, Stakhovsky, Hernych are still playing, the field could change quite quickly.

Vic will make it. Hopefully Flavio will too, and will be fit to play.

Why hasn't Koning received a WC?

CooCooCachoo
02-05-2009, 12:21 PM
Good opportunity for Eleveld. Nadal using his influence to land Coll a QWC

Koning should be getting one though  Was in great form last year, and would do well on this surface. He actually troubled Djokovic once in qualies in R'dam.

Why hasn't Koning received a WC?

Because Middelkoop has a better ranking and Eleveld, still a junior, needs the experience, I think. If Koning keeps playing like last season, he will have a chance next year.

In notice the tournament still stuck with the pussy 16 player qually draw. Even in a week when there are no challengers at all, Rotterdam is the only tournament in Europe and the only other tournaments are in California and Brazil. The ATP should have shown a little imagination and extended the qually draw here.
