No real idea. One guess could be that its very hot this morning but they are expecting a change in the afternoon so it might be to limit the amount of games in the heat. It might also be so they can have two shifts of umpire/ballboys. I really don't know why though as you are right they will go late into the night. Is it a rest day for the men tomorrow though with the final two rounds played on Friday and Saturday?

hmm the slam tracker was working properly earlier, but the link to it has been replaced with the match stats link under each match.

I guess the slam tracker will only work for main draw.
