Encouraging win for Hewitt after a long layoff.

good start.

Should have won in straight sets but made a meal of that first set.

He moved pretty well which is good

It wasn't a bad match. He made quite a few stupid errors, but you can blame that on how long its been since he's last played. Even Kiefer played well, just really couldn't come through when it counted

Good win for Hewitt.

Seen him play live twice, and he is someone who I hope stays in the game as long as he possibly can.

Although I was watching Dokic's close match, kept flicking back to Lleyton. A 3-setter like this is - I think - a good way for him to blow out the cobwebs.

Why couldn't this have been a weekend match. Had to work :mad:

Not a bad hit out, good warm-up. He will get better with each match. Hopefully he will be bordering on solid form by Oz open. I was more fixated on Dokic's comeback match, she looked like she can still match it with them, just needed the match play confidence to close the sets out

Hewitt moved around the court well, with no signs of pain to the hip. He made a couple of silly errors, but it is only a lack of match fitness. Hopefully this is the start of a good year for Hewitt with no injuries.

Oh well, at least he got his revenge in the doubles.

Only exhibition but encouraging for hewitt

Aww too bad I hate when two of my favorites have to play. Nonetheless it's pretty encouraging to see Hewitt winning solid matches. Kiefer must have been playing pretty subpar I suppose.

Eventhough Hopman cup is sort of like an exhibition, it's not like Abu dhabi. :o :tape:
