Sebastien Grosjean will face Robin Soderling in the first round of the Cincinnati Masters.

hmmm I think he can beat him.. We'll see, cmon Seb!! Pick up some points there.

Robin Söderling was very impressive last year, but I haven't heard that much about him this year. I hope that's a good sign for our Grosjean! He really needs to get valuable points on this one!

So, Stella, any chance you can send me your mail address? I've lost it, and I really want to get back to writing you!

I liked Robin Soderling last year, but since then he often lost in first or second rounds - that is, until he met Seb :( What's wrong with him? I was hoping he would do really well during the Olympics, but now I won't get my hopes up too high

He lost to Söderling??? I know this may well be old news for you, but I've been a bit sloppy lately with checking up on the tennis news around the world - and frankly, reading the cold hard facts here on the forum made me feel pretty disappointed. His confidence seems to be slipping away at this crucial point where he's on the verge of going into the Olympics, and I'm beginning to feel rather scared that he may not do that well at all, at a competition that I have always regarded as pretty important. I mean, it's the Olympics, for crying out loud!!!

yeah, we often burst in to tears when the national flag is being raised with the national anthem as the background music.

wow, so you are back, ulla. :wavey: shall we start another huge wave of discussion in spite of all the disappointments we got. ;)

cheers to our optimistic Lizanne and our homorous Wilma and Alison...all my dear friends. where are you?
:) :) :)

where are you?
Don't worry, Stella, I'm still here, but there isn't a lot to say, is there? I hope Seb will get us talking again by rendering a breathtaking performance at the Olympics :D but I won't be putting any money on him :p

I know I'm probably a bit fickle, but as Danish TV doesn't show any tennis at the moment and I don't have cable anymore - and the sad, but plain fact that Grosjean doesn't play well right now - then I can feel my interest in both the sport and Grosjean going down to zero. I hope this will all change as soon as the Olympics open, and the tennis tournament starts. Do they play national teams or individual? Or both? I don't remember how they did it during the last Olympics (I didn't really watch anything from Sydney apart from football) and I don't think I have watched Olympic tennis since the late 80's!!! LOL I mean, the last Olympic winner I remember is one Miroslav Mecirs (or whatever he was called - I was quite a fan)...

Hi girls !! :wavey:
I"m back from holiday and I have to admit that I don't know what happened these last weeks in tennis...I only know (cos I read l'equipe a few times) that Seb didn't play well during the US tour...he admited he's not focused on the american tournaments because he can't stop thinking to the OG, it's his obsession for some weeks.
But I don't know his results in Indianapolis, Cinci, Toronto...well, nevermind, The OG are very soon now, I'm excited and Hope a (2) medals for him ! :)

oh, Lizan. A typhoon just passed us. So the temperature drops to 30 degrees.

To have you back...All of you!!! ;)

Shame on you, Ulla!

Well, I can't help it...I never see any tennis anymore - has the sport vanished completely from Danish TV??? And as for monsieur Grosjean: why, what, how??? Is he totally out of his mind? But what a relief to be told that he's focused on the Olympics and wants to win!!!

Anyway, sports (even football and my beloved Real Madrid) don't interest me terribly at the moment, I'm hugely into silent films, you know, Chaplin and Buster Keaton comedies, Valentino, old Hollywood, the first film companies. Maybe it's because films don't disappoint me quite the way that people do? ;)

Nooo, no, I'm just joking! I'll always love Grosjean! Here's to hoping he will leave the olympics with the right kind of medals! :worship:
