They married in the last months of last year, she competed at Beijing with her maiden name. When I first saw she changed her surname, I thought she would have married Lukas or someone from his family or just with same surname, only few days ago I searched for the story and saw she indeed married Lukas.

They married in the last months of last year, she competed at Beijing with her maiden name. When I first saw she changed her surname, I thought she would have married Lukas or someone from his family or just with same surname, only few days ago I searched for the story and saw she indeed married Lukas.

off-topic: I'm sorry for what happened to Monika and the guy from shot put might win a gold for Poland in Turin.

Santoro wins in straights, never in doubt. He he did come to play here, IMO. With him in challengers - you never know.

I think Crugnola would have beaten even Evans without flu; rarely, but sometimes Marco delivers, especially on Italian soil.

I don't agree Crugnola should have won over Kukushkin . None of them have been in great shape lately but overall I rate Kuku higher as on average he's more consistent while Crugnola already used his lucky limit this week. Kuku has some points around this time to defend, no wonder he's motivated.

My player lost, tough luck :(. I thought he'd take a set.

Kudryatsev or whatever his name is always seemed to me like a big serving mug

lead 4*-1 with a double break then choked serving for the set 5*-4 lost another 3 straight to 5-7

2nd set lead twice with a break 2*-1 and 4*-3 got broken right away twice and eventually showed why he always be stuck in challengers losing serve for the match at 4*-5

Swish -

He has problems with his knee and although I haven't seen that match, from what you describe I can imagine it got back to him again. The Russian doctors tell him a surgery could disturb him and he'd have to quit tennis.

Djeez, these days the most difficult surgeries are made and people come back to sport, maybe he just should try abroad.

I am not sure if he got injured; just I saw a similar situation a few weeks ago in our city's challenger when he stopped playing while having a comfortable lead and only luck and a choking opponent saved him from losing on that day because he crippled till the end of the match.

This way or another, he's not only stuck on challenger level but maybe also will have to finish career shortly. It's sad, he's got so much talent.

SwiSha
03-06-2009, 05:19 PM
he had a couple of decent results and pushed a couple of good ATP tour players to their limits, never understood why he wasnt around in the real circuit, not even in the qualies...his injuries might explain that

his serve was great against Becker who is a shitty returner but neverthenless he looked great on serve, a lil surprising that he got broken 6 times today

Nathaliia
03-06-2009, 05:29 PM
When he's in normal conditions he serves often around 200 km/h and often on the lines, so for Becker it could be indeed "too much" ;).

Anyway in Belgrade he lost in 1st round, in Wolfsburg in 2nd, now in QF, maybe next week - a semi?

When I saw Kukushkin live I thought what a boring pusher, but later I saw much better matches of his on the streams. Marco rarely reaches the level he is technically able to play. I didn't say which player is more talented but which player is more consistent/favourite on average.
