My favourite would be in "Whiskey in the jar" anyway.

Na, my favorite riff would probably be "Black Dog" or "Sunshine of Your Love"

Most guitar mags argue that Sweet Child of Mine is the best riff...

It's good not doubt, but I don't think its the best.

Ah, the title is "best" and I read favourite... lol... anyway I am not a specialist to say which one is the best, I don't even play guitar... just can say which one I like the most ;)

You can argue that the one you like is best. Dosent mean its true or false.

Not many takers on this thread, but I like any topic on music, so I'll resurrect this one...

Not sure if it qualifies as the best, but my favorite guitar riff would probably be from Steely Dan's "Do It Again". Walter Becker goes off around 2:40 and doesn't stop for a good minute!

My favourite AT THE MOMENT is The Ocean, LZ! Juicy, fat, and from the real pioneers of hard rock. Whole Lotta Love, Black Dog and Moby Dick are also great picks. I know, all LZ... Sweet Chile O Mine, best riff ever ? You gotta be kidding me, seriously... I can think of at least 100 riffs that are better right away!
