1) did you realise you were being gay before or after you started worshipping Rafa?
2) would you rather be stuck on a desert island with Fed of with Mirka (or both)?
3) do you prefer boops or butts?
4) where else would you live (if you had to change)?
5) do you prefer Maria or Betty? :p
6) would you rather Scotland to win the next World Cup or Rafito to make the golden slam in 2012?

1) before....I saw some old posts of mine from about 2005 and they were very gay. I also worshipped many footballers before Rafa. Conclusion = I have always been gay.
2) Tough one. I'll go for Fed. At least I could kick his ass at beach tennis. Mirka would just sit there on her mobile phone looking bored all day ;)
3) Butts for sure. Boopies are overrated. Can't beat a nice, juicy, curvy butt (Charlotte Church  ).
4) Anywhere but Britain. I wish I had the balls to just pack everything up and leave, but I got too much stuff keeping me here :(
5) I surely can't answer that! But I'll say Betty at the moment because a post Maria wrote yesterday about liking Fed is sticking out in my head :p
6) Scotland winning the WC for sure. I care a lot more about football than I do about tennis :D

1. Do you play football yourself?

2. Why will you become an optician when you studied Economy like Adam Smith?

3. What did you see during your stay in Kraków?

4. How does it feel to be a major attraction of two chat threads?

5. Do you consider yourself happy or disappointed with your ACC 2008 run? Back in the past you campaigned for that so I gave you some votes, this is not because I don't like you or something, to clear the doubts.

6. If there's a major trolling thread you'd like to start in GM but your common sense says "there's a barrier" - what would it be about?

7. What is your favourite country you've seen so far other than Scotland? (RSA? :p) Where would you like to go yet?

Oh crap, Adam has his own thread :(

1) Do you ever feel that there's an internal conflict between the cheesy Adam and the one who can be quite cutting? Do you ever suppress the latter because you don't want to offend certain posters?
2) School days or university days? Why?
3) What would you say to LinkMage if he started posting in your chat thread?
4) What's the most annoying part about Deal or No Deal?
5) Is there an unfulfilled 'celebrity' in you? Have you ever craved an appearance on a reality TV show, for example?

1. I do. I used to be a pretty good central midfielder but I got a lot of injuries, so I ended up as a keeper. Regained my fitness now so I play outfield in 5 a side matches, but I'm a keeper for an 11-a-side team.

2. Bah it wasn't easy to find a good job after uni. Most people here end up going into something completely unrelated to their degree nowadays. My stepdad owns the company so I started working just to keep me going until I found something better but I kind of enjoyed it so I've just stayed and am now training to be an optician.

3. Lots of empty pint glasses :o I was in the main square quite a lot, also took a trip down to Wawel castle, the Jewish quarter and a few other bits and pieces.

4. Bad....I really should post less :retard:

5. Mixed opinions. I used to like going far because I enjoyed winding people up and if I got far it showed it was working. I don't tend to do that anymore (apart from the odd token Federer jokes), so I'd have been worried if I got too far. I wouldn't have wanted to win it, I leave that to the real arse clowns, eh Glenn? ;)

6. Good question  I need to have a think about this and get back to you.

7. Hmmm. I loved South Africa, Cape Town is one of the nicest cities I've been for sure. New York was also great. Romania and Moldova was fun. I want to travel much more. South America is top of my list, then Australia/New Zealand.
how old do you feel like? older or younger than you really are?
I'm 24, maturity wise I'd say I feel about 15. But in most aspects I feel around 22/23.

1) :haha: I guess so. I'm very anti-confrontational in real life, so sometimes it comes out on here. I've sometimes deleted a post about a second after I've written it because it seems too harsh. I usually tend to be nice though :awww:

2) University days by a mile. School days were shit, getting up early, same routine every day and then getting home late and staying at home in the evening mainly. Uni days were great, I had like 2 hours of lectures a day, spent more time at the pub than I did at lectures, and then went out a night. I miss them big time.

3) Tell him to piss off, then just ignore him if he carried on posting. One of the few people on this forum I genuinely think is a tool. I might be wrong though.

4) The fact you don't get to hear the banker's voice and are dubious about whether anyone is actually on the other end of the line.

5) Damn right. I'd do it in an instant if I could. I'd be tempted to audition for the X Factor and be as bad as I possibly can to try and get some publicity, but I can't be arsed with the queuing. I'd also be happy to go on Big Brother, I think I'd have a good chance of winning :D (I'm too worried about the stories that would come out about me in the press though :tape: )

1. Thank you  I've never written anything professionally, no. I had to do a lot of essays at school, I did A-Levels in Politics and History so I guess that's where the writing comes from.

2. Of course, I'd love to....my only problem is I tend to go to big events, there aren't many challengers in Britain. I'm thinking I might try go to one next year though.

3. Never had one, no. I'd be up for it if my g/f was, it would have to be with another girl though. No way another guy is getting in bed with my g/f :o

4. :spit: nah he's worse, I was never as relentless as he is. Plus if he wants to be like me, he needs to add some humour to his posts. And be slightly less repetitive :p

5. I've had some good ones....something my g/f gave me last year, but it's kind of private :awww:

6. Do I do that? It's not good, I think everyone has a kind of bitchy side to them but to do it constantly is out of order.

7. I think it was because I was gambling and couldn't find live scores for some shit tournament (before the ATP had all the live scores from their site)...I was searching around Google and had the misfortune to come across here :help:

3) Most/least favorite thing about the opposite sex?

1) I actually laughed out loud at Naranoc's response to my 'worst chat up line' question in her In the Spotlight thread. Other than that, youtube clips of Fonejacker - http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=UwwTFElMX7w :worship:

2) Go to the gym if I can be bothered. Maybe chill at a friend's house, go for dinner with the missus or go to the pub....I don't like the usual relaxing in front of the tv nonsense.

3) Least favourite - The moodswings. And when they get upset by silly little things. Also, when they get pissed off at guys for doing "guy stuff". Favourite - Well aside from the obvious :aplot: I enjoy their company, I find them much more genuine than guys in regards to how much they care when you're talking to them about serious stuff. The fact that they can lift me when I'm in a bad mood. There's a lot more, I much prefer being around girls to guys (when I'm with guys the conversation inevitably ends up with pisstaking and sport, which I don't mind but it gets a bit boring after a while).

4) On the court, I battle like hell, I try to follow his philosophy of getting one more ball back. It's part of the reason he's a favourite. Off the court, not really. I kind of relate to the shyness, I'm not actually as loud as most people here probably think I am

5) Jim Carrey :inlove: the guy has some haters (like me), but deep down he's a good guy and has a brilliantly stupid sense of humour. Not quite as good looking as me though ;)

I like the questions :p

1. Just under 2 years, but next month she's going away to China for 6 months  we'll stay together, but it's the first time we'll be apart for more than 2 weeks.

2. I'd go wherever the Gooch is playing, my tennis aim for 2009 is to have a pic with him. I should check the challenger calendar and plan somewhere to go.

3. Truly one of the worst players I've ever watched live. There are times when I watch him and think "I could beat this guy". I'd get nowhere near his serve, but out of anyone in the top 200 I think he'd be my best shot at winning some games.

4. I don't gamble anymore. I used to mainly on tennis, football and tennis. I had a successful period, but the stakes got bigger and I never quit when I was ahead, so I was destined for disaster. I won some amazing accumulators, one outrageous one was about 150/1. I think my most satisfactory bet was Grosjean winning the Paris Masters in 2001. At that stage I was only about 16/17 and my stakes were fairly low.....I had £20 on him at 40/1, winning £800. At that age it felt amazing.

5. I still have a soft spot for Genci. He needs to work less and post more, I think he's one of the best guys on here. I'd love him to come to London so I could give him a game of tennis and have a beer with him.

6. Schoolgirl uniform :o :tape:

7. A bit....I used to be almost fluent, but I never get much of a chance to speak it nowadays. I can read it 100%, but I've forgotten a lot of the language.

Hi Matt!

1. I do. I especially miss your witty jokes, there isn't really anyone else that can produce them like you do on here.

2. I have been very well thanks, work is boring as hell (credit crunch and all) but other than that my life is very good. How are you?

3. When I'm serving well, I'm tough to break. It's pretty quick and I can back it up with a good forehand (when it's on form). I also fight pretty hard on court. I like to think I'm a tactical player who has more than one gameplan.

4. I expect too much of myself. Almost every unforced error I make will be greeted with a groan. My backhand is also very attackable, and my first serve % is often too low.

- Surprisingly, yes. I would say the ratio of good looking girls to ugly girls was one of the highest I've seen. I thought they'd hate the British because so many of us go there, but it was the opposite. I was impressed ;)

- Bits and pieces, I didn't really like the people in it. Not enough characters, as soon as I heard who was going in I could've predicted Joe would win it.

- Not particularly. His wife is one of the most annoying women in Britain as well. I must say Mysterious Girl was a good song though

Polish men are no good in bed? Jogy is surely a sex god :inlove:

1. I miss the days of around 2005 when Rafatard vs. Fedtard fights in GM were good fun. It was the true fans - Deivid, Blaze, me, mallorn etc. vs. RonE, Dirk, Rogiman, prima donna etc. We had some classics. Now it's all bullshit. I liked when my thread was the standout chat thread on the forum, and you could appear at any point in the day or night and several people would be around :o

2. Cigarettes do nothing for me, I think it's a horrible habit. I'll have the odd spliff, but nothing major (I did it a bit more back at uni)...I've never done any serious drugs, I'm a compulsive person so I don't even want to try.

3. It's not good. I don't really approve of anyone under the age of 25 having a kid. Below 18 is an absolute no-no in my opinion, simply not in a position to raise a kid. 18-25 should be the best years of your life, it's not the right time to have the dependancy of a child. After 25, it's ok to settle down.

1. The worst thing about it is that you can have a stunning game, but make one mistake that leads to a goal and everyone only remembers the error. In midfield I could have a shit game, play a good pass that leads to a goal and I'd get praised. Because I'm not naturally a keeper, crosses aren't my strongest area. Shot stopping is definitely my main attribute.

2. My mum was born there but left when she was very young and has no real reason to go back. Only time I went was to the Millennium Stadium for Spurs vs. Blackburn in the final of your favourite cup :bigcry:

3. England winning at anything. People become patriotic all of a sudden, and the media bandwagon goes into overdrive. The Scottish/British thing is ridiculous, but it also amuses me, I just look at it as proof of how bad England are at sports considering it's almost 10x the population of Scotland.

- Mixed views. In an ideal world, I'd want it. I'm not sure whether it would be for the best though. To be honest, I probably don't know enough about the ins and outs of it to be able to fully comment on it.

- Overachiever. Considering he was nothing at the age of 20, he had a remarkable career. I liked the guy I think he got a lot of unfair press and if he had an extra 10mph on his serve he'd have won a slam.

- Religious fruitcake. An odd one.

- Being a Jew, I guess it would have to be bacon

- RonE definitely, we actually spoke about it a while ago because I used to go to Israel a lot. I like him. I'll hopefully be there next summer, maybe he'll come and cheer me on for my tennis tournament :D I'd be up for a meeting with Rogiman as well, why not? :p

- As a fan it would have to be when Partick Thistle got relegated, I was gutted. Scotland missing out on the WC every time and also the 3-0 loss to Morocco when we could have reached the 2nd stage stick in the throat. And maybe Spurs losing to Utd from 3-0 up at half time, I was at the match and felt physically sick after. Rafa losing the 2007 Wimbledon final was horrible, but tennis doesn't generate the same emotion that footy does. As a player, losing the SF of an international tournament in extra time was the worst I've felt, we all just sat in the dressing room after with our head in our hands absolutely silent.

- Old people that still drive. People that smoke and blow it in your face. Drivers that blare out beats so loud the road is vibrating 2 miles away. Harry Potter. Anyone that likes Harry Potter. I could go on for a very long time but I finish work soon :yippee:

When will you finally change your signature? :sobbing: :awww:
Oh jeez these are tough  :scared:

1) I'd like Henman to coach Murray, it would be awesome....and maybe for Agassi to help out Uncle Toni with Rafa.

2) Cheesy answer, but just the fact that I feel I'm as decent a person as I can be, I have a beautiful girlfriend and an awesome family.

3) I have no idea, I'm not the sort of guy that cares about issues like this. I watch the tennis and don't care about the politics, I don't even have an opinion on De Villiers.

4) Best - Bah I dunno, so few to choose from :p I guess the fact I'm positive and that I see the good side in most people/situations. Worst - I have a tendancy to be lazy and have a care-free approach to life.

5) Shit that's not easy. I'll say Oskar Schindler and anyone that helped out the Jews and other races being persecuted during the 2nd world war.

6) Not really actually, the only one I can think of is that when someone doesn't answer a call, instead of leaving a message I try again about 5 mins later

7) Like a typical Brit, I would always watch Wimbledon when I was younger but not much else....I guess I started watching properly around 2001/02 (the time FedGOAT decided to step up a level   ).

8) I have the worst long term memory :o I suppose with my grandpa who passed away. From a fun point of view, playing table tennis against my brother where I was smaller than the table and had to wait for the ball to drop off the end and then I could loop it over. Also my first kiss :p

9) To enjoy it as much as you can, you only get one shot so don't let anything stand in the way of what you want to achieve. Anything is possible if you want it badly enough.

10) I'd like to be married, with a child or two. Profession wise, I'd like to own a business, be living comfortably and happily, and also that all my family are healthy.

- And I'll change the sig soon

What is the one thing that makes you dislike England so much?

Who is your favourite character in the Entourage and why?
- The fact I live here and have to put up with all the bullshit in the media when they have half a sniff of success.

- Ari Gold, absolute legend. One of the funniest tv characters of all time.
Does your gf still ignore about MTF, and how come?! (sorry, but we're a few who have been wondering for a while how she could not know about this website and the ppl you talk to/meet when you spend so much time online  :p)

I've kind of always known....I suppose one moment that sticks out where I realised it was serious was when a guy from my school who was a religious Jew and wore a skullcap came in one day with a completely bruised face, like properly bad. Turns out on his way back from school a few days ago some guys had just started beating him up because he was Jewish.

- I'm happy with it, but I certainly wouldn't say it was complete. I want to move out of home and into my own place, I'd prefer to have a more exciting job, and it'd be nice if Spurs could become good :p....I can't complain though.

- Well I certainly wasn't there, I was living in Scotland then. I can't say I remember it either, Spurs were always kind of my team but I only became passionate about them from the Ardiles era onwards, and then even more so when I moved to London and got a season ticket.

- It's the final day of the season in 1999, Spurs travel to United and lose to an Andy Cole goal, how would you feel if you didn't lose and thus handed the title to Arsenal? Do you wish your team loses games like these with little on the line for them?
- When did you come out of the closet? Or are you only out on mtf?

- Jags or Spurs, which team do you like more?
- Are the Spurs Jewish connections and you being a fan a coincidence?
- You said you'll participate in the Jewish Olympics, is the standard of sports in the Jewish community really that low or is this a free for all competition (which would explain your participation)?

- I remember that match, I was pissed off big time when Ferdinand gave us the lead. I wanted Utd to win, probably the only time I've ever cheered against us. It meant absolutely nothing, and there's no way I could entertain the possibility of us giving Arsenal the title. I don't mind Utd, they're my favourite of the big 4.
- When did you come out of the closet? Or are you only out on mtf?
- I'm only gay on MTF, I don't know how the reputation started but once it did I thought I may as well play along with it.
- Glasgow or London? Which do you prefer and which do you consider home?
- I prefer London, it's a far more interesting city (though I'm still not that keen on it). I'd always consider Glasgow my home though.
- Jags or Spurs, which team do you like more?
- Bah this is tough. I had a season ticket at Partick from the age of 4 until I moved to London. I guess they'll always be my team, but it's hard to keep up the interest when I don't even know how half our current team plays, I only see like 1 or 2 games a season whereas I'd see about 35-40 Spurs games. Plus one of my favourite things about footy is the banter with friends, no-one here gives a shit about Scottish footy.
- Are the Spurs Jewish connections and you being a fan a coincidence?
- It's just a coincidence to be honest. Arsenal have a very big Jewish connection as well. It didn't really play any part in my decision to support them.
- You said you'll participate in the Jewish Olympics, is the standard of sports in the Jewish community really that low or is this a free for all competition (which would explain your participation)?
- :rolls: I'm not definitely playing yet. It's a pretty big event, "one of the five largest sporting events in the world by participation" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maccabiah_Games). I have trials for tennis at the end of December, and if I don't get into that I'm in the provisional 24 man football squad (but I've told them if I get into tennis I'll compete in that, you can only do one). To be fair, the fact I might play is more a reflection on the lack of Jews in Scotland than it is on the overall competition. I will get pummeled if I go, there will be some very good players but it'll be a great experience.
- Do you wish you still had a season ticket to the Lane?
Absolutely. I wish I didn't have to give it up when I went to uni, but a 7 hour round trip to every game would've been too much. And now there's like a 5 year waiting list :(
- Do you fanboy Serena because of her strong woman appearance, which gives you a feeling of compensation for your weaknesses?
Harsh! :o I like Serena's personality, she's bubbly and her ego is amusing (unlike Fed's). I like the fact she fights like hell on court (usually  ) and the ass is also a bonus. Considering all the other WTA players I like suck, it's nice to have the odd bit of success.

- Great stadium, but a little bit lacking in atmosphere. It doesn't help that the away fans are tucked away in a little corner. Delighted I went, and was lucky to go to a match when Barca were outstanding and Ronaldinho scored the most ridiculous goal. As for Rijkaard's chair, it was very comfortable but I only got to experience it for about 2 seconds before some big Spanish security guy came and gave me the bollocking of a lifetime of which I couldn't understand a word

- Funnily enough I read the book on the overnight train from Bucharest to Chisinau. The book was funny, I liked it. I would say it was a tad harsh on Moldova though, not all the stuff he said was true. As for the country, it is desperately poor and most people seem rather depressed because of it. Almost every block of apartments looks the same, and it's not exactly the life and soul of Europe. I had a good time there though, it was interesting.

- Man I've had everything. Bristol is a common one, Welsh and Irish have also had a couple of mentions. One person asked me if I was American ( :retard: ), I've had another say they liked my Australian accent ( :retard: ), but surely the worst of all was the lady who asked what part of France I was from ( :retard: :retard: :retard: ) and the worst thing was she'd been speaking to me for over half an hour.

1) Does the thought of spending the rest of your life with one missus ever scare you?

2) You are cast in a starring role for the summer's biggest action flick. What type of character will you play? (Hero, villain, etc.)

3) Why do you think the US is the only country where football isn't given the level of appreciation it deserves? Do you think it is fixable in any way?

4) You are made CEO Almighty of MTF, and must institute three new policies.

5) Early in his career, the Ultimate Warrior (who never considered himself a practicing homosexual) solicited the attention of some powerful members of Vince McMahon's staff, nearly all older gay men, with the sole intention of securing a big break in the WWF.

On a scale of 1-10, how ironic do you think it is that he's currently giving anti-gay speeches on college campuses?

On a scale of 1-10, how ironic do you think it is that he's currently giving anti-gay speeches on college campuses?
1) If you'd asked me 5 years ago, I'd have said yes. But I've had my fun and genuinely think I've now found the right girl for me. I don't ever really think about "the rest of my life" as such, I try to stay in the present.

2) Gotta be the hero. Preferably a Superhero. I've always loved movies like Superman and Batman :o

3) Tricky one. I think one day you'll see the light and it will be one of your top sports. From what I hear, lots of kids are taking it up at school. I think one of the main reasons it hasn't quite captured the imagination of America is that often you can have long periods in football games where very little happens....I get the feeling you prefer fast action games with lots of scoring. I heard an interesting quote from Brad Friedel, he said "if someone throws you a ball in the States, you throw it back. If someone throws you a ball in almost any other country, you kick it back". He was saying it because he was asked how there was like 5 American goalkeepers in our Premier League, but very few outfield players, but I found it interesting.

4) First thing I would do is sort out my post count to the real amount, scoobs or BG have been messing with it and added about 50,000 onto it. No way I've posted this much :p other than that, I'd close the Federer forum and ban each person that complains, and lastly, I'd give l_mac the position of chief moderator (as well as removing scoobs' powers :D ).

5) OMG are you trying to make me unidolise (is that a word?) my beloved Ultimate Warrior? :bigcry: :p I'd say that is rather ironic, probably around the 8 mark. It might be 10 but he's so far removed from reality that I'm not sure anything he says should be taken seriously.

*At Wimbledon 2009, when we inevitably meet, what are you likely to do first - say hello or ask for my autograph?
- Autographs are overrated, even for a legend like yourself. Could I have a picture instead, something I can treasure forever :D
*Linda, Claire & Jess - you have to marry one, kill another and spend 24hrs in a cell with the other - who gets what?
- So cruel! I love them all, I'll marry Jess though because she's the only one I've met in real life and she's lovely. I can justify killing Claire due to her Fedtardism, and I think I could spend an enjoyable 24 hours in a cell with Linda.
*Are you better at football or tennis?
- Football. Well, when I was fit anyway. I've played it my whole life, I mean never anywhere near good enough to play seriously but I've always been a pretty decent player. Unfortunately injuries kind of put paid to that so I've started a new career as a keeper which has gone surprisingly well. Tennis I only took up properly later on, and my technique is so flawed from self-teaching that it's very hard to correct, I make the most of what I have though.
*When you first joined MTF, did you ever imagine you could make as many posts as you have?
- Not even close. I thought I had more of a life, clearly I was wrong
*You went from gambling real cash to V-Cash, where's the buzz?
- There isn't any buzz in vbetting. I suppose the only justification I can put forward for slightly caring about it (and also for TT) is that it gets my competitive juices flowing. You know what I'm like from the fantasy games, I almost see it as similar - vbetting I'm always trying to outdo Mikey, TT I'm trying to prove I'm the prediction king.
*Have you ever backed against Spurs or been very, very close to doing so?
- Never. It was probably my downfall in gambling  I would only back us if I genuinely thought we'd win, but I could never go against us even if I was convinced we'd lose.
*What's the bigger deal for you - Spurs winning the Champions League (getting there first would be nice, wouldn't it? :p ), Premiership and FA Cup in the same season or Scotland winning the World Cup?

Which ATP player would you most like to have a beer with? Which WTA player?

Which ATP and WTA players do you think would make a good couple- if any? Or is that too stupid of a question to respond to?

What were you like as a 12 year old? Did you have any growing pains?

How did your mom and dad meet?

*Do you think cobalt60 will be true to her word and ask all the spotlighters why they chose to be in the spotlight, since I would really like to answer that question and have something a little more substantial to say than "I'm an attention whore"?

*Is that really your only reason? Is there more to it, at all?

*Have any of your answers in this thread been influenced, in anyway whatsoever, by Linda?
- It seems not, but I shall head to your thread to ask you that very question if she hasn't already done so. I thought my "I'm an attention whore" was as good an answer as she's gonna get :( (edit - I see Snoo asked you for it, an epic reply I might add ;) ).

- It's surprisingly fun, and perhaps you can learn some things about yourself. I still don't think it justifies the need for them though :p

- :rolls: I'm sure she'd like to think so. I honestly don't think so. She was trying to wriggle in on the Jess, Claire and Linda question, but I read what she wrote after my reply anyway. You might be able to pull me up on something that I've forgotten though

Your accent has been described as being rather wonky. Have you ever played up the Scottish part of it to attract a female?
- A lot of English girls like the Scottish accent, so I often used to strengthen my accent slightly when talking to them :o
Which ATP player would you most like to have a beer with? Which WTA player?
- In terms of personality, probably Roddick, I think we'd have a laugh. Otherwise it'd have to be Nadal just to get to ask my favourite player some stuff. WTA I'd say Serena, she's by far the most interesting player there. If not her, Sorana Cirstea for the :inlove: factor.
Which ATP and WTA players do you think would make a good couple- if any? Or is that too stupid of a question to respond to?
- Nadal and Pennetta are cute when I've seen them at tournies together, they're good friends though. Or how about a random one like Wozniacki and Murray, her bubbly personality might be able to do him some good off court where he can tend to be a bit dull.
What were you like as a 12 year old? Did you have any growing pains?
- Quite shy, but had a mischievous streak. I was a bit spoiled (I was the youngest child) but overall I think I was fairly well behaved. It was around the age I moved to London so I suppose it was my "maturing" period (if ever there has been one   ). I can't recall any growing pains.
How did your mom and dad meet?
- My real mum and dad met at uni, she's from Wales but was studying at Glasgow university, as was he....they're divorced now. My mum and stepdad met through friends when she moved down to London and were kind of set up. And I can honestly say I'm not sure how my dad and stepmum met

Why, the "i will always love you" song. :p ?
- I had a bet with P. Antonius, we were doing a Fantasy Footy and whoever finished lower had to sing I Will Always Love You and dedicate it to Mirkaland :o (he fluked a win over me  )
On a scale of 1-10, how much are you enjoying all the attention you're getting in NT? :p
- to be fair, I was more than happy to keep it private and only for the other members of our Fantasy Footy league to see it. Its been surprisingly nice thus far, I'm not looking forward to someone like Jim seeing it though :scared: and it will only be worthwhile when Mirkaland tells me the feeling is mutual :awww: .... I'll give it a 7, it's still hugely embarrassing.

Hi Adam,

Just asked Scoobs this same question:

Vodka, gin, tequila or rum? (please rank)
1) Vodka - By a distance. Don't mind drinking it straight, but it's a great spirit to drink with a mixer, I have it with Coke, Lemonade, Orange Juice, Red Bull etc.

2) Tequila - I've kind of gone of it, I used to drink quite a few shots but a club at uni offered double tequila's for very cheap, and I had a # of nights where I threw up on it...so now even just the smell of it can bring back some bad memories :o I still don't mind it though.

3) Rum - Decent with Coke, I'd never choose to drink it if there were other options though.

4) Gin - Never had it, it's an old woman's drink :p
Adam, how sad does it make you when wonderful people like Kell go AWOL to do their exams?
Very....I was under the impression that I was more important than exams, I guess I was wrong :(

But Rum & Coke, and Vodka & Orange Juice, are so manly! :rolls:

OK. Do you drink wine, and if so, do you have a favorite kind?

Vodka and orange isn't that girly  :ras:

- I prefer white wine, it goes down easier. It used to be a perfect warm up drink for a night out at uni, you could buy a cheap bottle for like £3 ($5) :o and I could down it in 10 mins. Admittedly, I'm not a great wine connoisseur, if someone gave me a $5 bottle and a $200 bottle it's unlikely I'd be able to tell you which one was which :p

3) Are you ever ashamed of your celebrity status on MTF?
4) If you could ban one Christmas song...
5) Most annoying occurence on a train?

Adam, thanks for answering :) It was really interesting to read what you had to say :hatoff:

I have a few new ones if you don't mind:

1) Who would you rather have a beer with: Roger or Arsene Wenger?
2) What was the most important thing your parents have taught you?
3) How did you discovered MTF?
4) What can't be missing in your fridge?
5) Do you daily read newspapers? What are your favourite sections? And the order?
6) What profession other than your own would you like to attempt?
7) What was your favourite subject in school?
8) Who was your most embarassing celebrity crush?
9) Do you believe in destiny or is it all coincidance?
10) Who's your favorite Old Hollywood actor/actress?

2) If you ever managed to breeze through the X Factor auditions, would you show them the MTF thread congratulating you instead of having people wait eagerly for you outside the room?
3) Are you ever ashamed of your celebrity status on MTF?
4) If you could ban one Christmas song...
5) Most annoying occurence on a train?
1) Unlikely, I thrive on the questions :sport:

2) Nah, I'd leap into Dermot's arms with joy. I think the sort of "star" they're looking for isn't one that is addicted to a forum full of clowns :o

3) Mildly, yeah. It's a sad indictment on the amount of time I spend on here. I'd rather be loved due to quality of my posts rather than the quantity, ala MisterQ.

4) It varies each year, currently Last Christmas by Wham is pissing me off which is strange because I don't mind Wham....the song is shit though.

5) Well, I'll tell you one that happened to me recently....I had a seat, and the train got busy. Some guy was standing over me, I'm kind of falling asleep and he rests his newspaper on my head while he reads it. I move my head to imply that this is not going to happen, then he moves his paper again onto my head. This happened like 4 times before I got seriously pissed off and "accidentally" kicked his foot. That showed him  other than that, I despise people who sit on a train and gossip stupidly loudly for the entire duration of the journey. I basically hate trains :p

1) Haha oh gosh....I'll go for Roger, I actually don't think I could talk to Arsene Wenger for more than 1 minute without wanting to punch him. Roger will at least pretend to be nice like usual :p

2) Tough to single out one thing, they gave me a very good upbringing. If I had to say one it would be the appreciate the value of a close knit family.

3) The times before all ATP tournaments had live scores, I had a bet on some matches in a small tournament and I couldn't find scores anywhere, I stumbled across MTF through Google and somehow, someone here was getting scores. I haven't looked back since

4) Mayo and Ketchup!

5) I read The Sun everday :o mainly for the sport, but it's an enjoyable read. It's not a serious newspaper, it's more like a magazine with silly stories. I'll occasionally read The Guardian as well (I used to have to read it everyday for my Politics A-Level). I avoid The Daily Mail like the plague, horribly racist paper.

6) I'd love to be a tennis coach or a football manager, I think both are highly unlikely though. Realistically, I'd like to be the owner of a string of bars/restarants.

7) I've always been pretty good at maths, especially in my early years...after that it became Economics, and I went on to study it at university.

8) I've had quite a few :tape: Most recently, it would have to be Charlotte Church and Ashlee Simpson

9) I'm not a big believe in destiny, no. To be honest, I can't even come up with a decent explanation as to why not, it's just something that I've never really believe in. I'm very cynical about all these sorts of things.

10) Hmmm depends how old you mean. I have seen loads of movies, but most are from the 80s onwards. Sean Connery is an obvious one, absolute legend. Marilyn Monroe was great in Some Like It Hot. Honourable mention to Steve McQueen.

Thanks for the questions :hatoff:

1) First ever girlfriend, no. That was when I was very young though and living in Scotland, I'm not sure what she's up to nowadays. First serious girlfriend I had I do still talk to, I wouldn't say we're close friends but she goes to quite a few of the same places as I go, so I'll always have a decent conversation with her.

2) Probably Dumb and Dumber, I must know every line in the movie. Comedy at its finest. Home Alone 1+2 wouldn't be far behind either

3) Nope, I'm the first Adam in the family. It's quite a common name though I guess.

4) :awww: I feel bad when I talk about my dislike of Roger to you. You should have all the history soon :p It must've been around 2001 when he started getting good, I actually can't remember the exact reason I didn't like him apart from the fact the commentators were gushing about him too much. Then he started beating all my favourite players and it annoyed me, then I heard him in interviews and thought he was very arrogant. And then I came to MTF and his fanbase were even worse than the commentators that irritated me. I maintain that if I hadn't discovered MTF, I still wouldn't be a fan but I'd only dislike him to the level that I currently have for someone like Del Potro or Gasquet.

5) 18 or 19, they were the most enjoyable years of my life. Old enough to be able to do whatever you want and young enough to have a full zest for life. Also the fact I had no responsibilities meant I could enjoy life to the max. My current age is ok, I don't mind being 24 but I do feel a bit old :o I'd happily stay at 18, 19 or 20 for life.

6) "Legend" is one of my favourite words. When I'm saying goodbye to someone, I always say "cheerio". And I prefer "cheers" to thanks. When I'm describing something bad, I like to use "woeful". :p

7) Ooh good questions. I don't remember exactly, as far as I can remember we've almost always had a PC. Some really terrible ones in the early 90s though! As for the internet....hmmm, maybe around 97/98, I'm really not sure. I have such a terrible long term memory :sobbing:

8) One thing about my past I wish I'd never done is get hooked on gambling. As for my character, it annoys me that I can be very lazy most of the time :smash:

9) The last few years I've been dying to go travelling round the world. I'm desperate to go to South America, Australia, Asia etc....I haven't done it mainly because I'm just waiting for the right time. I don't know if it'll ever come, I'd need to do it in the next year or two I think.

10) Definitely Muse at Wembley last year. My favourite current band playing in one of the best stadiums in the world, can't beat it. I was also at Live 8 in Hyde Park in 2005 which was pretty good, but too many bands played that I didn't like.

I was around the middle, it was kind of crazy. I stayed till the end, The Who and Pink Floyd were awesome, and the good thing was quite a lot of people had gone by then so we ended up much closer.

- Corluka has been really good. He's so casual on the ball but he never gives it away. He makes football look sexy :p Modric has been inconsistent, our problem is we like him to play just behind the attack, but it means we can only play 1 up front and I don't like the formation. It's too early to judge, he's been injured and still adjusting but I think he's a quality player and will do well for us. We could still qualify for Europe through the league if we go on a good run, but Carling Cup is probably our best chance, I think we can win it too. Croatia will hopefully beat England again, I think you might have blown your chances to top the group though....horrible performance a few months ago against them :(

- I loved Goran, I had a little tear in my eye when he won Wimbledon. As for the current crop, I think Cilic will move between around 15-25 next year, I don't see him going top 10. Ancic is a tough one, I think the way the courts are going isn't helping him, he'd do well to make it top 20. Ljubo :o I wouldn't be surprised if he retires at the end of 09, especially if he gets more injuries. Karlovic should stay around the same, between 20-30 I'd go for. I just can't see his game improving, but he'll always win a decent amount of matches from his serve.

 it could be close. He's narrowed the gap on me, but he's also been playing more matches. I could really do with Iverson stepping it up, he's been disappointing (last few games have been better). D.J. Augustin is looking like a good free pick a few weeks ago though

But to answer your question, yes I do ;)

- To be honest, I was actually pretty happy when he joined. It didn't bother me that he wasn't Scottish, he came with a great reputation and I thought he might do well. I think the main problem he had was that Scotland have never had (and probably never will) have good technical players, we rely on team spirit and battling hard. He tried to take us away from that and get us playing football, but the players weren't good enough for it. He also came at a time where some good players had just retired and there weren't any good youngsters coming through. I don't blame him too much, but I wasn't too unhappy when he left

- He seems to have deleted his post but I'll answer what you quoted. I like JM because he's one of the funniest guys on MTF. People that don't like him either don't know him properly or are lacking a sense of humour. Sure he can be silly in GM but so are 99% of people in there, I think it's only fair to judge them once you've spoken to them properly. I get on very well with him, he's one of my favourite posters here for sure. He's one of the people that I'd be genuinely sad if he did leave MTF.

- A mess at the moment, I just don't play enough anymore. At its best it was 12, I always felt I was good enough to go single figures but I never managed it. I play a lot of football and tennis as well, so it's pointless for me to join a club nowadays when I'd only get about 2 or 3 rounds a month. I think later on in life I will take it up again seriously and hope to get into single figures.

1) What do you like (and dislike) about the city/area in which you currently live? (I just re-read this thread, and I know that you've sort of hinted at both answers - but never quite had a chance to address each of them directly.)

2) I have asked the above question to two other posters who live in the UK. Both of them basically said that they disliked how their town/city has become overrun with ASBO activities. So, regarding this topic: is violent, ASBO-type behavior becoming a truly serious epidemic throughout the UK, or can much of it just be attributed to harmless, youthful exuberance? (Note: I've noticed a number of non-MTF Brits and Scots make mention of their problems with ASBO violence in the UK. Seeing the concept mentioned again on MTF has made me wonder aloud about it.)

3) Have you ever played basketball? If you haven't played, what position(s) do you think would best suit your abilities?

Hi mate :hatoff:

1) I like the fact that London is a big, lively city and there is a lot to see/do. It has a great reputation and it means that a lot of my friends and family that are abroad often come here to visit. It's also convenient if I want to go abroad, I can get a direct flight almost everywhere. The nightlife probably just passes as a positive, there's a ton of bars and clubs so you have a good choice. The thing that annoys me most is traffic, it takes absolutely ages even to drive the shortest distances. It's also far too expensive, house prices are ridiculous (though slightly better recently) and if I have a big night out it can cost me around $150-$200. Lastly, I'm not a huge fan of Londoners, I find a large proportion of them cocky or stuck up. Whenever I've been in America (New York, Washington, Florida, Boston etc) I've always found people to be much friendlier. Oh, and the weather sucks :o

2) Well, I'd start off by saying I think the problem of recent crime/anti-social behaviour is being blown out of proportion. No doubt there are concerns about the knife culture that seems to be around, but plenty of it has gone on in the past, it just hasn't been reported as widely as currently in the media. I wouldn't say I feel any less safe now walking around the streets of London than I did say 10 years ago. Obviously I'd be happier if the whole of Britain was completely safe, but I don't consider it an overly dangerous country.

3) I've played many times, but never in a competitive game so it's not like we had proper positions or anything. I'd like to think I'd make a decent point guard . Mainly because it's similar to how I like to play football (soccer), get possession of the ball and use my creativity to find a pass, I don't care about the glory of scoring the points I'd be satisfied with the assist.

- This is a tough one to answer without actually seeing you play. The odds would suggest it's unlikely. However, I have faith in you. I'll say yes. Just don't get too addicted to MTF and train hard. And upload some videos so MTF's resident experts can scrutinize your game and tell you what you're doing wrong. Do me proud son, and remember to thank me for showing faith in you during your first tournament victory speech.

- I've seen him play live a few times. He's ok, I wouldn't call myself a fan but I don't dislike him. I'm pretty neutral, his game is reasonable to watch and he seems a nice enough guy.

- Xristos isn't actually as bad as people make out. He's a club player. If you genuinely have hopes of getting onto the main tour then you should be destroying guys like him 0 and 0. You're still young and learning, so I'll predict a 6-1 6-2 victory for you.

1) In one of your previous answers, you mentioned that some of your family members live abroad. Thus, in what other regions/countries specifically do you have family/relatives?

2) You have been atop the MTF fantasy hoops standings now for six consecutive days. How much longer do you think your reign will last?
1) My dad plus a lot of cousins, uncles, aunties and my grandma all still live in Scotland (I'm in England). It's not too far though. I've also got cousins spread out all over the place.....quite a few in Israel, 3 in America, 1 in India, 1 in Japan....I think that's it

2) Tough one to answer. I see I've stretched my lead to 5 points, which is a fairly decent advantage at this stage of the season. There's a few categories that I'm not too far ahead of others, and I'm not confident at all about winning it. Funnily enough, my big names haven't done well recently (Iverson being a big culprit) but some of the lesser guys I've brought in have been sound (I just took a risk and brought in Nick Young, he's been on fire the last few games). The games played column is slightly worrying, I think it could turn into a 3 horse race between adeegee here to beat jj, - Coach 'em up - and Cascade Whiners. My plan is that I expect I'll max out my games before most of my contenders, but I hope I'll have a sizeable lead and I'll try to cling onto it. Anyhoo, I realise none of that really answered the question :o I think I should be able to stay in the lead for a little while longer, at least another couple of weeks I reckon.

- Not good :p I've had the 2nd most games (played 440). 2nd position has played 399, 3rd 433, 4th 386, 5th 428, 6th 422....etc. I find it hard to leave players out if I see they've got a match, I did it once and he scored big points  to be honest I haven't quite sussed out the position thing, I don't know where to see a list of how many times I've used each position  but I've been trying to spread them out a bit.

- Ummmm....I'm ok I guess. I don't mean to sound cocky (even though it does) but I can kind of walk into most sports and I'll always be half decent at it. Because I play a lot of tennis (and used to play table tennis, badminton etc.) my hand eye co-ordination is good, and I'm a pretty good batsman. My technique is very flawed, but I can get away with it unless it's against a brilliant spin bowler or someone bowling 75mph or more. My mate has an amateur team and I've helped him out a couple of times when he's been short of players, highest score is 57 coming it at #7. My fielding is also good because of playing in goal for footy. Bowling isn't the best, I can bowl fast and straight but I can't do fuck all in terms of variation

- :ras: did WG put you up to that? I've gotta say Murray. It would be nice for Rafa to win a hard court slam to shut the haters up, but I can live without it. I still worry about Murray getting injured too often, and it would be a shame if his career was blighted by it. He deserves it for his play over the last few months imo, plus the work he's put in should be commended. I also can't wait for the hype at Wimbledon if Muzza's already won a slam, it would be bordering on the insanity :inlove:

Didn't you like Muzza's attempt at an afro before he shaved it? :(

1. PHM. It's not overly likely though is it? :o Roddick would be my "realistic" option even though he's more likely to lose to Rehnquist than win it. Or Guccione, purely for the comedy value it would bring.

2. Hmmm. I won't set aside plans to watch it, but if I'm home I will. The sport has grown on me, but I can't say I'd happily watch a game for 3-4 hours with no Fantasy Footy/Bets/Teams I like etc. happening. I probably will end up seeing it though.

3. I dunno, I didn't see it. Did you have a wager on him to win 2-0 or something? Because he's a mug is the easy answer. :D

1. I think so, yes. The traditionalists will hate the suggestion, but I love the sound of a World Cup style Davis Cup. Maybe every 2 years, with a change of surface and location every time. 16 countries qualify for the tournament, and it's a straight knockout. I think it would work.

2) I'm not that sad. Usually someone will have written something in my thread and when I read it an idea for a thread title will pop into my head. Or maybe someone just suggests one and as long as it's not totally shit I'll go with it. We're not busy enough for it to warrant frequent name changes anymore :tears:

3) Oh dear, this might contradict the start of answer 2 :o probably about 98% or so, I pretty much always catch up in the morning and stuff. The only times I've missed posts are when I've been away on holiday for more than like 2 or 3 days and can't be arsed reading back.
Depends on the singer. I'm convinced you'll bring the necessary charme. :yeah:
Can't come up with any other titles right now. Maybe some anthem you like?
 I have a sore throat, I'll maybe give it a try later in the week.

1) I had hoped for a little more detail  height, weight, looks etc. So basically a bit of a character assassination was what I was looking for :p

2) Petzschner to beat Dabul and Ferrero to beat Santoro @ around 0.30 each are decent value, I appreciate it's a little Dylan-esque though. I quite like Hrbaty to beat Isner @ 0.75, Dominator has looked really good this year. However, bet of the day is Korolev to beat Moya @ 1.60. Really good odds, played 3 matches in qualies so he's in good shape and Moya is seriously past his best. If I had any vcash I'd be putting it on that

3) I don't, no. Can you provide me a link? I apologise profusely if this is the case, if you come back to the chat thread I will make it up to you by responding to every post

4) I dunno, I don't have much of an opinion this  I would say yes, it's possible the thread starter might have made an error. When it's a big chat thread it's slightly different, perhaps that shouldn't be allowed.

5) In my first year I was in halls and shared with 9 other guys, I got on really well with all of them and we had an awesome time. One of them was Chinese and could barely speak English but he found a place in my heart because he did some work at a Chinese and brought back loads of prawn crackers every time :inlove: I made a terrible error in my 2nd year, instead of living in a house with some of the people from halls I moved in with some friends I knew from school who were at Leeds met. It was crap, 2 of the guys I was with were obsessive about cleaning and none of them ever wanted to go out, they worked far too hard. So I spent most of my time at other houses. It annoys me to this day though.

6) Yeah. What the hell is Action Jackson all about? :silly: I'd say scarecrows, Nathaliia, bad gambler, GlennMirnyi, CooCooCachoo, silverwhite and a few others. I don't approve of the name changes by savestheday91 or escude.

7) Most of them were just sound recordings, it wasn't so good. I'd like to do a new one with videos but I'm not convinced many would do it. I remember I liked Jess' Britney and Genci's national anthem, they stick in my mind. Genci once showed me a video of him singing Beat It by MJ, I think that's my favourite. I believe I'm quite privileged too, I'm not sure many have seen it :worship:

6. When you say American footballer, do you mean my favourite American soccer player or my favourite American football player? Well if it's the first, ummmm....I loved Cobi Jones and Alexei Lalas, both legends. But they're not really this decade. Probably Brad Friedel because I rate him extremely highly. If it's the latter, Pierre Thomas :p.

I meant "soccer." :p I'm a huge Brad Friedel fan. :D I love youtubing his interviews and listening to his accent.

1. How would you have reacted if the U.S. national soccer team had somehow won the 2002 World Cup?

2. I have more questions regarding your World Cup-style Davis Cup. How should the ITF determine seeding? How should the ITF handle relegation/promotion? Would the matches remain best-of-five-sets?

3. Do you think Crazy Girl is "real"?

4. Assuming that Crazy Girl is in fact a double account, which MTFer do you think "created" her?

5. What are your thoughts on Brad Gilbert?

6. If you had to have Brad Gilbert coach a player in the top 100, which player would you choose?

7. Does Rogi need a full-time coach? :awww:

8. If you had to switch one of Federer's grand slam final results from a win to a loss, which grand slam would you choose? For example, if you chose the 2006 Australian Open, Marcos Baghdatis would have a grand slam to his name. :p

He just sounds like a normal Yank to me

1. I'd have been amused, and it would've been good for the development of the game in the States. I was cheering them on to beat Germany, but it was never really gonna happen. It would've been a bit farcical for world football, but I'd have been fine with it. Anyone but England is my motto ;)

2. I haven't thought too much about it :o I think best of 3 matches would be better, perhaps best of 5 for the final. I'm not sure how seedings would work, an easy option would just be to combine the rankings of the top 2 players from the nation and the lowest 16 get in. I'll have to think more about it and get back to you, I still like the basis of the idea it could potentially have some flaws.

3. The MTF mods are tremendous, so if she was a duplicate account she'd have surely been found out :p Ok seriously, I think she actually might be. Fancying Davydenko makes it hard to take her seriously, but I'll give her the benefit of the doubt. Whatever the case, she's pretty amusing.

4. There was a guy jocaputs that used to post, he'd be a suspect. I don't think it's anyone that currently posts. She does seem to speak Italian, which rules out a lot of people.

5. I think he's a bit of a plonker, but he's a good coach. I read his book recently and really liked it, it has helped me with a few things with my game. I wouldn't particularly like to have him as a friend, he seems like the sort of guy that would piss you off within about 10 minutes of meeting him, but I rate him highly. I will soon be following in his footsteps and winning the Jewish Olympics :tennis:

6. Well because I think he's a top coach, it'd be one of the players I like. I'll stick my neck out and say Almagro, I'd be interested to see whether he could improve his mental state.

7. In my honest opinion, yes. I don't care if you're the best of all time, there are always things you can improve on and your girlfriend watching you looking bored while texting on her mobile phone isn't going to do it. If Tiger Woods still has a coach who works on his swing, Federer still needs a coach.

8. Wimbledon 07 and US Open 08 are the obvious choices. But Rafa won Wimbledon in 08 and Murray is never going to lose a tennis match again, so the losses don't hurt so much anymore. I was going to say his first slam because if he'd lost it his career might've been a lot worse, but I remember he played Philippoussis who I strongly dislike. Good question, I think my final answer is the Wimbledon 04 final against Roddick, I thought Andy deserved to win and was screwed by the rain. Things could have been so different

It's how he should have played all his matches against Federer imo, just unleash on absolutely everything. He's far inferior from the baseline so he may as well go for it and hope he has a day where he lands more than he misses.

1. All the best ones have been the unofficial ones. Three Lions wasn't official originally, but I think they did an official one in 98. Even as a Scotsman I can admit that was good. I also liked Vindaloo by Fat Les, the sort of song which is so bad it's good. And Tubthumping by Chumbawumba. I'm with you that World In Motion was pretty sound. Nothing beats Scotland's hugely positive "Don't Come Home Too Soon" though :worship:

3. GlennMirnyi's and scoobs' both started promisingly, but kind of turned into a snorefest. I think I enjoyed Genci's as well, but I haven't read it for ages. I've gotta say No Lets, this guy is hilarious. His thread is gripping stuff. "More questions!".

4. I can't win it  I didn't even bother changing my team this week. I would like to see Jess win it :p Actually I don't mind, I'm happy for anyone to win it. Even JM, he needs some success to keep his spirits up

5. :D

6. I only actually know 2 to be honest, Karma Chameleon and Do You Really Want To Hurt Me.....Karma is very overplayed, it's a bit of a student anthem. So Do You Really.....

7. Sammy Q lost so I guess the question is pointless  I would have answered yes though

8. ummmm.....we used to banter quite a lot in GM, I remember telling him he was one the few Fedtards I found funny and didn't annoy me. We never really chatted until the Nadal thread opened though, it has blossomed since then :p

2. Affirmative. Getting bitchslapped by Serra and Santoro already this year is laughable. Time for him to retire. Mug player who took advantage of a mug era.

3. at the moment, yes. It would fuck England up big time, they might have to pick Keothavong and Mel South  We'd have been a bit screwed before the Muzza's came along mind you. Considering Britain as a whole can do no right, I'm struggling to envisage much success if the nations split.

Anyway, I was doing Singstar the other day (karaoke game on PS3) and was happily singing away "I was cryin' when I met you....now I'm tryin' to forget you....love is sweet mystery". Except apparently it's misery, not mystery. There's been funnier examples where I've got it completely wrong, my mind has gone blank though.

5. Toss up between Linda and Rosie. I appreciate both can be quite controversial with their views (as can I), but I think they're both very nice ladies. Fair enough if people don't like their views, but both of them seem to invoke some serious hate on here, I don't think it's right or fair.

6. Hmmm. It has to be someone who has posted here since I first arrived...maybe Jess, though I don't think I've repped her that much recently for some reason.

7. I hardly ever bad rep, I doubt I've given the same person more than 2 or 3. I don't know if you knew him, but joeb_uk is probably the winner here, one of the few people on this forum who I think are pure filth. Luckily he got banned.

8. I don't send many personal PM's either  I mainly use the function only for sending TT picks. I used to exchange a lot of PM's with yemok (R.I.P. ), but other than that the people I'd generally PM I just talk to on msn.

9. I was going to say Newcastle, but I just did a search on Wikipedia and according to population sizes, Bristol is the biggest (apparently the population is bigger than Manchester  ). Quite strange seeing as people say my accent sounds like I'm from Bristol :o

10. Definitely rice. I'm not a massive fan of it anyway. I like egg fried rice from Chinese retaurants, but I don't like spicy food so I rarely go to Indians. I find the rice that people buy and then cook at home absolutely tasteless and bland, like the food equivalent of water. I like pasta a lot.

11. I've never seen him play, but I've heard good things about him. Our tv channel lost the rights for golf to a pay-per-view channel which I haven't got, and I don't enjoy smaller tournaments enough for me to warrant paying for it, especially when Tiger is out. I'd be rather shocked if he won 2 majors, but anything is possible in golf. I always get a tad bitter when someone unknown wins a major considering Monty hasn't and won't win one, but I'll take my hat off to the kid.

12. Tiger's streak was 142 (I think) consecutive cuts made, absolutely astonishing. I was going to say for a player to have not lost in the 1st round for 142 straight tournaments, but I think that's easier than making golf cuts considering some of the mugs you play. I highly doubt it'll be beaten, certainly not in our lifetime.

13. So many. Humility. Passion. Charisma. Fighting qualities. The ability to market and raise the profile of a sport. Taste in women. Ok I'm going a little off topic here.

14. Put everything you have on Muzza to win the tournament outright :D

15. I'd put him around 4/1, it's early days in his comeback and there are some promising signs.

16. If he plays more than 10-15 this year, I'm pretty confident he'll win one. Let's say about 6/4.

17. Slimmer than his belly. Wimbledon is obviously his best shot, but his game just isn't suited to this era of slower courts and phenomenal passing shots. 10/1.

18. I could happily lay odds of 500,000/1 on Betfair and doubt I'd lose a wink of sleep over my potential losses.

19. Taylor. He's a hungry lad, I can't see much stopping him. Sammy Q is more of a big teddy bear that you just want to hug. More of a lover than a fighter me thinks.

20. :haha: Muzza is a gentleman, I've had 2 photos with him (admittedly the first time he was a bit grumpy but still nice enough - Fee took that photo :D but the 2nd time he was awesome). But if it did happen I'd be a bit disappointed, I probably wouldn't ditch him from my favourites but he might slide down the rankings a few places.

You're a champ for answering everything. :worship: You can expect a battery of questions later, but first I will just comment on your responses.

:spit: you're crazy. I couldn't remember the video so I watched it and was building up to this 1:55 moment. It was such a letdown :ras:

I'm very easily amused, clearly. He reminded me of a young, Scottish Darth Maul. :o

Who are the other 2 Californians? Are there any WTAers?
The three Californians are were Sam Querrey, Robert Kendrick, and Taylor Dent. Last year Sam Warburg qualified. Other active Californian players include the Bryan brothers, Prakash Amritraj, Kevin Kim, Lindsay Davenport, and the Williams sisters. Tursunov is kind of a gray area. :p

11. I've never seen him play, but I've heard good things about him. I always get a tad bitter when someone unknown wins a major considering Monty hasn't and won't win one, but I'll take my hat off to the kid. Taylor Dent has a better of chance of getting the golden slam in three years.

12. Tiger's streak was 142 (I think) consecutive cuts made, absolutely astonishing. It's one of my favorite sports streaks. :D

14. Put everything you have on Muzza to win the tournament outright :DI put 5k on him when the odds were 4/1. If the thread for outright winners reopens I'll consider your suggestion. :p

15. I'd put him around 4/1, it's early days in his comeback and there are some promising signs.

So sorry--the correct answer was Robert Federer. Better luck next time. :)

Why do you dislike Florian Mayer so much? :tears:
 I don't actually hate him, I just think he's a terrible player. I find his game horrible to watch, and I find him a highly annoying character. I was at Wimbledon when he beat Coria, that match really pissed me off. I also remember his little run at Hamburg in 04, I found his matches painful to watch and our commentators were raving about how he was gonna be the next big thing. I was thinking "shit, if this is the future of tennis then I don't want anything to do with it".
With or without a condom ?

1. Quite possibly, I think I can only be a good influence for anyone that spends time with me. Antonius is already a good man though, he doesn't need to change much.

2. Gareth Bale. He plays for the team I support, and he has lots of potential. He's playing like shit recently though.

3. Fuck knows  I'll say Huxley because I've heard of more of his stuff.

4. Rob Roy, mainly because he's Scottish.

5. Hmmm. I guess because something going off is far worse than a sour taste. I dread to think how disgusting expired sour cream would be, you'd have the shits for days.

6. Haha. I have no answer to this.

7. Did they? You're right, that's not the brightest thing to do. I suppose it feels a bit nicer to crash with a helmet on, the thought of a suicide crash with the possibility your head might decapitate doesn't sound too pleasant

8. Bah it's hard to answer without sounding up my own ass....You should ask them. I'll say because I'm a decent guy with a good sense of humour.

9. Does my g/f count? If not, a mate called Dan.

10. Ok I'll presume the answer was Dan. We're very similar, like going out and having a good time, both immature and like football.

11. Controversial. I'd say yes. You can get some really intelligent Americans, but they also have a lot of stupid people to bring down the average.

12. Pretty big, yeah. I kind of lost the value of money a few years ago. I don't make any hugely extravagant purchases, but I buy lots of stupid things I don't need.

13. The English language is silly, that's the only explanation I can give.

14. Oh man I don't like these questions. I will come back to it when my brain isn't dead.

15. Loads of times :o mainly just into a bush or something.

16. Quite often, I get nervous mainly over playing and watching sports :tape: and also when I have to make a phone call I really don't want to.

17. They're not the best. I think it'd be nice to have some better ones (I use the classic blue one), I can't say I overly care though.

18. P. Antonius and Troickitard.

19. I like to think so. These answers haven't been funny or interesting at all, I apologise. I'm extremely tired

20. You can :wavey: I'm usually pleasant. If you really want to be in my good books you'd be nice to l_mac and Kitty de Sade ;)

1. I really disliked Hewitt when he was #1. I've respected the hell out of him these last few years, though, because he takes losses "like a man." Do you agree?

2. Please watch this Youtube clip:

-uSay2aWTc0

What are your thoughts on this? Have you ever found yourself in a similar situation? Could you respect a football teammate if they started crying after receiving a tongue-lashing from another teammate?

3. Killer Cahill (:worship::worship::worship:) just derided the "Heat Rule." He thinks it should be abolished. Do you agree?

4. Suppose you have to spend five consecutive years on a deserted island that is only about the size of two football pitches. You will receive plenty of dry foodstuffs and water via airlifts. You must choose as your companion(s) either: (1) Russell Brand or (2) 3 ill-tempered quadriplegics who require constant supervision and assistance. The island is too small to ignore Brand entirely, and caring for the quadriplegics would be thankless and almost assuredly disgusting. What’s your choice?

5. I tend to root for former NCAA players, including Amer Delic. (He now faces your boy, PHM, in round two. :() What are the odds that Amer will ever win an ATP level event?

6. I am convinced the best booth commentary team would consist of Cliff Drysdale, Killer Cahill, and Brad Gilbert. Your thoughts?

7. As far as I can tell, Roger Moore's James Bond pulled the most amount of women per film (roughly 3.5). This is higher than any other James Bond. To what do you attribute Roger Moore's James Bond's additional mojo?

8. Are you pleased that Chooper asked you some queestions? :) (I am.)

9. Which spotlight question has made you feel the most embarrassed?

10. Please describe Tom Chaplin (lead singer of Keane) in one sentence using a series of pejoratives.

11. Do you agree with me that Jenni's response to the "fat squirrel challenge" spotlight question is the best spotlight answer ever? :D

12. I cannot recall ever seeing you use the word "c*nt." Have you ever used it on MTF? Do you have any reservations about using it? Do you use it when speaking with friends?

13. What is your favorite Borat saying?

14. Brad Gilbert is in the studio right now. He is evidently not allowed to wear his sunglasses and bucket/baseball hat. He is also wearing a button-up shirt with blue pinstripes. Please form an image of this in your mind. Now study the following image:

Suppose he became so taken with America that he renounced all ties to Scotland/Great Britain and became an American citizen. Suppose he also teams with Sam Querrey and the Bryan brothers to form a badass Davis Cup squad. How would you react to his defection? Would you root for or against that American DC team if they played Argentina? Italy? Russia? Australia? France? Germany? Israel?

16. Why won't you elevate Elena Dementieva to Tier I status? :( She's lovely. :inlove:

Would you root for or against that American DC team if they played Argentina? Italy? Russia? Australia? France? Germany? Israel?

16. Why won't you elevate Elena Dementieva to Tier I status? :( She's lovely.
1. Funnily enough, I'm exactly the same. I used to find him very annoying, I hated the "come ons", found his game boring, and didn't like his attitude - the stares and the vicht. I find him strangely compelling nowadays, and would be pretty disappointed if he gave up tennis.

2. Was he actually crying? I would kick him out the team, what a big girls blouse. Admittedly, I don't take a team-mate shouting at me very well....I tend to argue my corner rather than just accept it and take it in. Storming off and sulking is inexcusable though.

3. Hmmm. I've never had to play in such conditions, but I imagine it must be absolutely brutal. I can think of arguments for both sides of it, I'd say it's right to have it though. Otherwise you're just gonna get a string of retirements, and probably a lack of epic 5 setters. Put it this way, if I was 2-0 down in 40 degrees I wouldn't even be contemplating trying to come back :o

4. Haha I'd choose Brand, I could never have the patience to help out the quadriplegics. He'd annoy the fuck out of me, I'm pretty sure I'd want to kill him after about 10 minutes.

5. He ain't beating PHM, that's for sure. I was about to comment that he's still young, but I went to check his age to be sure and he's 26?!? I thought he was like 22/23. That changes my view, his best chance will be one of those mug American tournaments that Roddick always used to own. Somewhere like Delray Beach or New Haven, his hopes aren't that high though. Let's go for 12/1.

6. To be honest I've hardly heard any of the them commentate so it wouldn't be right for me to comment. Any dream commentary team would probably have to contain JMac though, absolute legend. And purely for comedy reasons, a British commentator called Mark Petchey (used to coach Murray). I absolutely love him

7. I never knew that. I don't think I can explain it either. Sean Connery was clearly the best and hottest Bond, as well as having the accent to chat up the ladies. We'll have to put it down as one of life's great mysteries.

8. It was a great honour. He was something of an unknown quantity to me before, I was surprised he named me as one of his favourite posters. I will now attempt to get to know him better and not rely on reports from Linda and Kelli.

9. This one. Ok not really. Prima Donna's question about whether I use a condom :o

10. A dull, boring and chubby alcoholic gimp who should realise the idea of music is to entertain people. I actually quite like a few of their songs though :bolt:

11. It was a very good answer to a pretty bizarre question. I certainly wouldn't have been able to produce such a detailed response, I'm relieved you didn't ask me it ;) (don't even think about it).

12. I don't use it mainly because I know how much most people hate it. My g/f hates it as well so I've kind of been trained to never use it :tape: I personally don't see it as that much worse than many other swear words, but I tend to just avoid it. I doubt I've ever used it on MTF, not that I recall anyway. Maybe in my early days on the forum in my fury at someone costing me a (real) bet.

13. Oh man there's so many to choose from. "Jagshemash" used to be a favourite, I would answer my phone using it  I think "high-five" has become overused, I'm a big fan of "can we make a sexy time?" :rolls: My favourite bit in the movie was "In Kazakhstan, we have 3 main problems: economic, social, and the Jew" :haha: (the bit about not wanting to fly in case the Jews repeat their attacks of 9/11 was also :worship: ).

14. :spit: that actually made me laugh. I don't like dogs that much, it probably just wants to wag it's tail and be annoying. Gotta go with Gilbert here, making him conform so he looks respectable is harsh, the guy should be allowed to wear what he wants. I can imagine him going off camera and being in tears afterwards.

15. I'd be fuming, especially because he's a proud Scot. I would still call him Scottish though. Argentina - Win....I hate Del Potro and don't like Nalby much, Coria is the only Argie I like. Italy - Win....Same again, Volandri is an ass. Russia - Win....don't like any Russians. Australia - Win....Gooch is a legend, and as I said previously I don't mind Hewitt now but Roddick playing for the US is enough. France - Win....probably the toughest one if PHM is playing. But with Gasquet, Simon and Tsonga I'm not a big fan of the French team. Germany - Win....Easy. Israel - Win....I'm Jewish, but I don't actively support Israel

16. She's not bad, if I saw her walk down the street I'd probably give her a second look but I don't think she's stunning by any means. I don't really know why, maybe the teeth but she just doesn't do it for me. Tier I is for the creme de la creme of the WTA, currently this stands at Kirilenko, Pennetta, Cirstea, Mirza and maybe Ivanovic. I seem to remember having more in Tier I last time but  Tier II would be Dementieva, Sharapova ( :( ), Wozniacki, Cornet (personality :p ), Cibulkova, Vaidisova, Vesnina, Domachowska (you'd shout at me if I didn't say her) and Pironkova.

2. Who's your favourite for the Super Bowl this year?
3. Will you come visit me this year? How about during Gstaadt tourney? :o :p
4. Favourite French song/music?
5. When will you finally take on poker?
:yippee:

1a. I think my favourite is Courtyard. It's a nice size and it's got some sweet graphics. I'm probably best at Hangar though, I seem to always win there. Dome is fun as well, it's like the new Showdown level. Least favourite is Cliffside  (and Seelow, it's too big).
1b. I actually haven't tried that many out. I was using the Thompson for a while, but I've now switched to the Type 100, I'm a big fan of it  do you think there's anything better?

2. Steelers will probably win it, I'd like the Cardinals to triumph though. I'm not too bothered, I don't care much for either team. I just don't like the Swiss to have success :p

3. I'd like to at some point. Gstaad isn't a good time, I'll just have got back from Israel. How far is Basel from you? That's a better time of year, it's a possibility.

4. I :hearts: the French national anthem, does that count? I'm guessing not. I don't know that many, it's a bit of a gay answer but 'La Vie En Rose is rather catchy.

5. Nah, it's not gonna happen man. I know what I'm like, I'd get hooked and play online 24/7. I waste too much time online as it is, I don't want more excuses to. Plus the fact I'd most probably lose loads of cash.

1. Brad Gilbert said Rafa runs around his backhand too much on hard courts, allowing his opponent to get back into position. He said Rafa should have more faith in his backhand. Killer Cahill agreed. What do you think?

2. Chris Fowler asked Brad and Killer who would finish this year as #1. They both said Rafa. Do you agree? Who do you think will finish #1-5 at the end of the year?

3. When the hell am I going to shut up about Brad Gilbert and Killer Cahill? :retard:

4. If you had to be a tree, which tree would you want to be? Why?

5. If you had to be a bird, which bird would you want to be? Why?

6. I presume you are familiar with Emmitt Smitt, the NFL Hall of Fame running back who spent the bulk of his career with the Dallas Cowboys. Emmitt is now an “analyst” for ESPN. His command of the English language is, for want of a better word, shitty. Please watch this Youtube clip to understand what I mean:

iGT08DTk3NM

Now watch this clip all the way through:

AJvyyxJXsjg

Go back and freeze this video at precisely 0:23. Study Emmitt Smith’s face carefully. Please provide three Emmitt-flavored phrases that capture what you think he was thinking at that moment. Each phrase must constitute a malapropism and/or involve the mangling of common English words. Feel free to be vulgar.

7. Suppose I said I hated Jade Goodey even though I have never heard her speak and that, while I do not revel in the fact that she has cancer, I hate her nonetheless. Would you be remotely alarmed by my arguably cavalier use of the word “hate”? What do you think of her? What do you think of Big Brother and other reality shows?

8. Are you a fan of the Highlander franchise? The roles of Connor and Duncan MacLeod were given to two actors (Christopher Lambert and Adrian Paul, respectively) who were, in my opinion, unable to capture the Scottish brogue. Do you agree? Did you notice this before? Did you care?

9. How would you react if I changed my MTF username to “Badreps 4 Jesus”? If I asked that you refer to me as “B4J,” would you honor this request?

10. Other than Doris, who is the nicest MTFer? You may only consider posters’ online personality/posting style. Disregard all real life encounters with any MTFers for the purpose of answering this question.

11. Imagine that Obama ended his inaugural speech by giving the 1968 Olympics Black Power salute with a gloved fist.

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/c/c8/Carlos-Smith.jpg

How would you react?

12. What is the best disco anthem?

13. I generally like the Steelers a lot more than the Arizona Cardinals. However, I am obliged to root against the Steelers because I do not want the franchise to have earned more Super Bowl rings than my San Francisco 49ers. I assume that as an avid sports fan you understand this predicament all too well. Please give an example where you found yourself in a similar position.

14. I realize I am entirely too self-referential when asking some of these questions. Have you noticed this? Do you care?

15. The correct answer to Question #12 was Rod Stewart’s “Do Ya Think I’m Sexy?” It counts, and you know it. Did this song immediately come to mind?

16. What do you think of Bilbo’s signature?

17. I attempted to have a Jewish friend name his son “Shlomo.” (I did not succeed.) Would you consider that name for your son? If not, would you select that name if someone paid you 100,000 pounds? Keep in mind that your son would not be able to change the name until he reached the age of majority and that you would not be able to nickname him.

18. You have to choose to either play nine holes with Vijay Singh or hit around with Federer for ninety minutes on a hard court. You are not allowed to speak to either one before, during, or after your session. What do you choose?

2. Was he actually crying?

Oh yes. He was bawling. That was the best clip I could find, though.

5. He ain't beating PHM, that's for sure.

Israel - Win....I'm Jewish, but I don't actively support Israel :unsure:I said the team would be Muzza/Querrey/Bryan/Bryan. Or does the fact that Roddick once played for American team make you more likely to root for them?

1a. I think my favourite is Courtyard. It's a nice size and it's got some sweet graphics. I'm probably best at Hangar though, I seem to always win there. Dome is fun as well, it's like the new Showdown level. Least favourite is Cliffside (and Seelow, it's too big).

Seelow is definitely too big, indeed... but both courtyard and dome are way too small :tape: :p

1b. I actually haven't tried that many out. I was using the Thompson for a while, but I've now switched to the Type 100, I'm a big fan of it. do you think there's anything better?

SMG are noob guns :p most of the time I use any assault rifle with grenade launcher, lethal in hardcore mode :o

2. Steelers will probably win it, I'd like the Cardinals to triumph though. I'm not too bothered, I don't care much for either team. I just don't like the Swiss to have success :p

 you Swiss hater :ras: my Big Ben will take it though... Hopp!! :p

3. I'd like to at some point. Gstaad isn't a good time, I'll just have got back from Israel. How far is Basel from you? That's a better time of year, it's a possibility.

:D There's no place far from where I am since Switzerland is not exactly big :p Basel would be cool, I could most probably manage to have press/VIP passes for the tourney, it could be great...

4. I :hearts: the French national anthem, does that count? I'm guessing not. I don't know that many, it's a bit of a gay answer but 'La Vie En Rose is rather catchy.

 indeed :p I'll let you know some good stuff when we meet...

5. Nah, it's not gonna happen man. I know what I'm like, I'd get hooked and play online 24/7. I waste too much time online as it is, I don't want more excuses to. Plus the fact I'd most probably lose loads of cash.

We'll play when we meet  :p, online poker is not as funny, you'd be good at a real table I think, since trash talking can help I think you'd be just fine with it :D

1. If Roger had to win one slam this year, which one would you like him to win?

2. Is there a place (city) in the US you'd like to go that you haven't been so far?

3. From the female MTFers you've seen (irl or in pics) who's the hottest? :p

4. Who's your least favourite MTF poster?

5. Beach or mountain?

He ain't beating PHM, that's for sure. I was about to comment that he's still young, but I went to check his age to be sure and he's 26?!? I thought he was like 22/23. That changes my view, his best chance will be one of those mug American tournaments that Roddick always used to own. Somewhere like Delray Beach or New Haven, his hopes aren't that high though. Let's go for 12/1.

I said the team would be Muzza/Querrey/Bryan/Bryan. Or does the fact that Roddick once played for American team make you more likely to root for them?
 my apologies, I misread the question. I'd still cheer for the US.

Why?

1. I don't disagree, but I don't think this is why he does badly. He probably does run around it a bit too much, but he very rarely gets into trouble because of it. The problem is his depth, far too many balls land inside the service box. And if he's playing a big hitter, they take advantage of it.

2. Yeah I think he probably will. I imagine he's going to own the clay court season again, and his results will be good enough on other surfaces to stay #1. I'll say #1 Nadal, #2 Murray, #3 Federer, #4 Roddick, #5 Del Potro :scared:

3. Good question, I get the impression that once you get your teeth into something you find it hard to get them out. Probably when one of them dies is the answer you're after.

4. Ummm...an apple tree, so I could eat things I'd produced myself :D

5. A parrot. Birds live such crap lives, but a parrot usually has a little bit more fun. I'd rather be dead than be a bird if the truth be known though.

6. I've got no sound on my computer at work, I will have to answer this later. I have a feeling it's going to be one of the toughest questions I've been asked though :scared:

7. Hate is often thrown around a bit easily, but in her case it's perfectly understandable. Obviously I feel sorry about the cancer, but forgetting about that for a minute. She has less of a brain than Almagro, she's racist, she's an attention seeking talentless pig lookalike, and her voice annoys the hell out of me. As for Big Brother, I used to quite like watching the highlights show but I can't be arsed with it anymore, it has run its course.

8. I must confess, I've barely ever seen the show. Maybe just once or twice. So no, I don't overly care but I'll take your word on it :p

9. I would find it a rather bizarre name change, but it's probably on a par with Bachelor Dandy in terms of pointlessness  I will call you whatever you'd like me to call you

10. Oooh, good question. I'm going to disregard the people I've met completely if you don't mind. I'd say a toss-up between wildegirl, Tytta!. and Peta Pan. I don't think I've ever seen them have an argument with anyone. I'd love to go for a beer with bad gambler though, I think he's a top bloke.

11. You like these "never gonna happen" questions, don't you? I'd nervously laugh, it would be amusing and concerning at the same time. I would take my hat off to him for having the balls to do it, even though it might not be the most sensible thing he's ever done

12. Billy Ocean - Love Really Hurts Without You. Genius song. Rick Astley would also be in with a shout if that counts as disco (probably not). The worst is The Bee Gees - Staying Alive. Makes me want to throw myself off a cliff.

13. I understand your dilemma. I think your loyalty should be towards your own team, and as such you should support the Cardinals. A similar kind of example is the situation at Chelsea (and probably Man City in the near future). It pisses me off that mug clubs with no history are having more success now than my beloved Tottenham. So I root for them to lose, so my club can remain one of the biggest names in the sport.

14. I hadn't actually noticed it, but now that you mention it I would be inclined to agree. It doesn't bother me in the slightest though, the warm little feeling I get inside when I see there's been a new post in my spotlight thread is enough to overcome any flaws in the questions.

15. I'm dubious, I wouldn't have it down as a disco song myself. Majestic tune and lyrics though, I'll give you that. Probably only his 3rd best song though, Maggie May and Baby Jane are stupendous. So that's a no.

16. Has he changed it recently, I'm sure it used to have more female MTFers in there  It was a smidgen alarming and left me with doubts as to how much female action he'd seen in his lifetime. His current one isn't too bad, you must be very proud that he seems to have a lot of Americans on his hated list but no mention of Sammy Q :D

17. Hahahaha why would you try and befriend someone with the name Shlomo? I wouldn't name my son that for a million pounds, it's so evil. My brother's (who is quite religious) wife is due in April, I'll be an uncle for the first time. I have told him in no uncertain terms not to give him a horribly Jewish name. I always felt sorry for the kids at school who got bullied because of a terrible name their parents gave them (I knew someone called Abraham Abrahams :o ). I wouldn't do that to my kid, and my aim is for him to become the tennis GOAT, I'm doubtful Shlomo would strike fear into his opponents.

18. I'd choose the hit with Federer. 90 minutes is a long time, he's bound to shank some backhands into Mars in that time. I'd then be able to boast that the apparent GOAT (before my son comes along) couldn't cope with the pace on my shots. I'd have a permanent smile on my face

1. Aussie Open, I think it would mean the least to him :p Plus it would leave him hanging tied with the record for at least a year.

2. Yeah there's loads. I've been to New York, Washington, Boston, San Francisco and Floria. The place I'd like to go to most is Los Angeles, I think I'd really like it. Philadelphia would be good as well, just to see the Rocky steps if nothing else :hearts: Some friends went to San Diego and loved it so I'd want to go there as well. And also to Arizona to see the Grand Canyon.

3. You're going to get me into trouble with this question and the next one :sobbing: I'll say Aleka, she's extremely pretty, and has a lovely personality to match.

4. All the people I don't like have left (maybe I drove them away) :sport: GlennMirnyi is the most annoying in his posts, but I actually quite like him as a guy (sometimes). I can never tell if he's being serious, but its.like.that seems to hate me so I'll repay the favour and say him.

5. Beach for sure, I could happily spend the rest of my life just lying on a beach as long as it's warm. Mountains are a bit boring.
Discuss. :D
Paulo won more points, by MTF logic he's the rightful winner :D

 It's inexplicable. Paulo is an even bigger mug choker than I realised. A truly horrible loss. However, an impressive comeback from Amer and as such, his odds to win an ATP tourney have been slashed to 10/1. He still has a long way to go before I rate him highly against after his 2 bagels from Mayer.

So I watched the Emmitt Smith youtube video, I am still stumped for answers  I will need to think more about this :(
1. With which Peep Show character do you most closely identify—Mark, Jez, Super Hans, or Alan Johnson? Why? Which one do you find funniest?

2. With which Flight of the Conchords character do you most closely identify—Jermaine, Bret, Murray, or Dave? Why? Which one do you find funniest?

6. How far back can you trace your family tree?
1. I can relate a lot with Jez. We both think we're cooler and better looking than we actually are. We each have potential, but we're too lazy to do anything about it. I think Mark is the funniest though, simply hearing his voice makes me laugh. His relationship with Sophie is awesome :worship:

2. I have never seen an episode of it in my life. I've actually barely even heard of it, I'm not sure it's that big here. If I remember correctly, someone else on MTF asked me if I watch it, and that's about the only other time I've spoken about it  would you recommend it?

3. I probably identify most with David Brent :o constantly trying to hog the limelight, fannying about telling crap jokes and somewhat outspoken in my views. Gareth is perhaps the funniest, such a tragic loser he reminds me of one of my "friends", so I tend to laugh at him even more.

4. I wasn't no. I'm honestly not sure why my parents called me Adam. I should ask them. I wish they'd called me Roger

5. I don't know any that have "fought" in a war as such, but my grandpa had some terrible experiences. He was in Auschwitz and somehow survived, but every single other member of his family was killed. He never spoke about it other than to a few people, so I don't know the whole story. He died a couple of years ago, I'm not sure if I ever will or want to hear what fully happened.

6. Oh god.....I remember my mum was doing this ages ago. I'm not sure I ever asked her what the final results were. I think it wasn't that easy for our family because my grandparents changed their surname or something, I can't really remember. I'll give a very rough estimate of a couple of hundred years

Thanks in advance for taking the time to answer the questions, Adam :)
Hi Doris, thanks for the questions...wishing you a Merry Xmas and a Happy New Year

1) Definitely Muzza, I had really hoped this would be his breakthrough year and he'd be challenging for a slam, I liked his chances at all of them except the French. Unlike Rafa, he had no real injury concerns either so there was no excuse for his performances in the big matches. Rafa winning the AO was good enough for me, I was disappointed by what happened at RG + the lack of grass court season, but overall it was another good year for him. I worry about his chances for 2010 if he can't sort out his injuries though.

2) Nadal vs. Djokovic in Madrid, amazing quality match and Rafa's play when he was match points down was as gutsy as it gets. Big cajones. I guess I also enjoyed the Wimbledon final despite the result, it was nice seeing Roddick play well again. I'm struggling to think of many more matches I liked actually, sorry :awww:

3) Hmmm I like saying "man" :o I suppose I say "good" quite a lot as well. While I've been in Cape Town I've started saying "ya" to fit in with the locals. Edit - after answering these, it seems like I also say "probably" often

4) MTF, Hotmail, BBC, Tottenham's official site, iPhone applications page.*

5) I think the best I ever gave was a bracelet to an ex-girlfriend, it was really beautiful. I even chose it myself! I liked it so much I wanted to ask for it back when we split up  probably the worst was some personalised golf balls I got my dad one year and I gave them to him without realising they'd misspelt his name :silly:

6) After about 24 hours I start to struggle. I think I could probably white knuckle it and get to about 3 or 4 days before I go insane.

7) I hate to say it but Del Potro has improved a hell of a lot - I still dislike watching him play but credit where due, he's come a long way. Soderling also deserves a mention. And Clijsters on the womens side.

8) As long as he's fit, I'd expect Rafa to dominate the clay court season again and win RG. Other than that, I'd like him to reach one other slam final minimum. As for Muzza, I'm still clinging to the belief he'll win a slam next year. If he doesn't, I might start to lose faith.

9) Is this question with regards to tennis? If so, obviously Rafa winning Oz Open is the standout. If you meant in general....definitely representing m country in tennis at the Jewish Olympics was a really proud moment, marching into a stadium with 50,000+ people there was incredible. Also my current trip to Cape Town has been amazing, one of the best experiences of my life. And from an MTF perspective, spending a lot of time with Jess and my beloved Romanians at Wimbledon was awesome. And I was really glad to meet Rosie, Claire and Peta.

10) Luckily I've been shielded from a lot of this by being in Africa, I can only imagine the fun the tabloids are having. I think he was an idiot to do what he did, but he's certainly not the first and won't be the last celebrity to do something like this. It would be nice if they left him alone for a while and let him try and salvage his marriage.*

11) You know me well, I think you know the answer to this ;) I was infuriated, especially for it to be handed to him on a plate with his pisspoor draw. I didn't watch the final because I had plans, but I wouldn't have done anyway - seeing the joy on his face would have hurt me too much :tears:

12) Definitely Mark Petchey (he's British, might be known better for coaching Murray for a bit). Very funny guy. I like JMac as well. I have a lot I don't like  Andrew Castle is the worst by a distance, the most patronising and annoying man I've ever listened to. Don't particularly like Barry Milns (another Brit), Greg Rusedski, Leif Shirus....I could go on a while.

13) Probably something like Great Ormond Street, I get really emotional and upset seeing young children with terminal illness. The charity gives some of them the chance to live out dreams before the inevitable happens. I would like to spread it out between a few charities I think. Cancer research, animal cruelty etc.*

14) Tough one  none of my favourites have really disappeared, they just post less frequently. My favourite is yemok, but unfortunately he didn't disappear, he passed away. R.I.P

15)*Despite*being a plonker, Rafa=Fed Killa never fails to make me laugh. Bibberz is also a classic due to the story behind it :worship:

16) If I'm in a TT tourney, that'll be first. If not, the Rafa chat thread :hearts:

Hi Doris, thanks for the questions...wishing you a Merry Xmas and a Happy New Year

Thanks for the wishes and your long answers Adam

Hope you had a nice Hanukkah.

Definitely Muzza, I had really hoped this would be his breakthrough year and he'd be challenging for a slam, I liked his chances at all of them except the French.

I think Muzza was a bit unlucky at 2 Grand Slams this year - AO and USO - when he wasn't at 100% physically when I'm informed correctly. Clay is his least favourite surface so there's no shame that he lost to Gonzo at RG. ARod played a great tournament in Wimbledon and he has repeated his very good performance of the SF against Muzza in the final. It's not bad to lose against Roddick on grass. Beside this the pressure at Wimbledon was extra difficult for him.

He is still young enough and has enough of time left to win Grand Slam tournaments :)

It's somehow weird that I included Rafa in the question about a disappointing season as we shouldn't forget that he was able to win a GS and several other tournaments. When we call this a bad season what could we say about the achievements of players who weren't able to win a tournament, let alone a GS?

That he lost his #1 ranking had to happen as he had to defend so many points from his incredible 2008 season. Roger was there at the right time to collect the points, but the same can be said about Rafa when he used the opportunity to take advantage of Roger's so-called bad season in 2008.

After about 24 hours I start to struggle. I think I could probably white knuckle it and get to about 3 or 4 days before I go insane.

I recently survived nearly 5 weeks without the internet, even though I thought in the beginning I would never be able to do so. But in the end you get used to it ;) It took me a long time though to catch up with all the e-mails and some informations, especially about the death of German nationalkeeper Robert Enke. I missed the internet when I read on teletext about his death. I bought several newspapers the next days in order to get informations which you would normally get on the internet.

I hate to say it but Del Potro has improved a hell of a lot - I still dislike watching him play but credit where due, he's come a long way. Soderling also deserves a mention. And Clijsters on the womens side.

It was an amazing season for JMDP indeed. The way from his beatdown which he got from Roger at the AO over their 5 set SF in RG to JMDP's first victory over Roger at the USO, where the Argentinian also became the first player to beat Rafa and Roger in a GS tournament.

Söderling could have had an even more incredible run in the GS tournaments, but he had the bad luck to meet Roger so early in Wimbledon and New York. He surely confirmed that his success at the French Open was no fluke.

Is this question with regards to tennis? If so, obviously Rafa winning Oz Open is the standout. If you meant in general....definitely representing m country in tennis at the Jewish Olympics was a really proud moment, marching into a stadium with 50,000+ people there was incredible. Also my current trip to Cape Town has been amazing, one of the best experiences of my life. And from an MTF perspective, spending a lot of time with Jess and my beloved Romanians at Wimbledon was awesome. And I was really glad to meet Rosie, Claire and Peta.

No, the questions was meant in general. Did you play in the tennis team at the Jewish Olympics? Were was it held? I have never heard about the event. It's incredible that so many people attended it.

What are you doing in South Africa if I may ask? (I don't think you were there for doing genealogy about the family of Lynette Federer  ) Are you there just on holidays or for a special project? I don't know if you also have something like we have here in Germany where the opticians collect old glasses for people in Africa.

You have already met a lot of people from MTF in the past years, right? Great that you had such a good time together :)

Luckily I've been shielded from a lot of this by being in Africa, I can only imagine the fun the tabloids are having. I think he was an idiot to do what he did, but he's certainly not the first and won't be the last celebrity to do something like this. It would be nice if they left him alone for a while and let him try and salvage his marriage.

Yes, I think the same. I have never been a fan of him - I don't follow golf at all, but I always wondered why he is the best paid athlete in the world -, but the current mudslinging is over the top. As you said, he wasn't the first celebrity to commit adultery and won't be the last one. It's of course wrong what he did, but this is just a thing between him and his wife.

You know me well, I think you know the answer to this ;) I was infuriated, especially for it to be handed to him on a plate with his pisspoor draw. I didn't watch the final because I had plans, but I wouldn't have done anyway - seeing the joy on his face would have hurt me too much :tears:

He surely had more demanding draws, but we have seen that a draw sometimes means nothing. You have to beat the players who you get to meet. I remember how people talked about the SF with Djokovic before it even happened. Do you really think it would have made any difference if he would have had any other players in his draw?

The main thing which favoured his winning chances was Rafa's defeat.

Probably something like Great Ormond Street, I get really emotional and upset seeing young children with terminal illness. The charity gives some of them the chance to live out dreams before the inevitable happens. I would like to spread it out between a few charities I think. Cancer research, animal cruelty etc.

Good choices :)

I remember that I have read here on MTF about his death. I never got to know him as he was active here before my time on the forum and posted in other sections which I don't go to.

P.S. Do you miss it? :p I think I might have it stored away somewhere on my computer at home, I'll see if I can bring it out in 2010 for you :sport:

I'm not sure anymore in which situations you used it, but it would have been a nice change for the Roger being emotional during the AO ceremony pictures which we got to see

Bah Australian Open was a frustration, maybe he wasn't 100% but he had more than enough chances against Verdasco. It was certainly a match he could have won.

USO was also frustrating. I know his wrist was bad, but I would still ask why he didn't go for big serves and forehands if he knew his left wrist was bad and he couldn't hit through a backhand. It was rather feeble imo. But yes I agree, he still has plenty of time. It's just that the longer he goes without one, the more the doubts creep in.
It's somehow weird that I included Rafa in the question about a disappointing season as we shouldn't forget that he was able to win a GS and several other tournaments. Yep, it's just the high standards he has set for himself. I regard RG as the only major disappointment to be honest. The end of the year was also not good, but I've sort of come to expect it.
I recently survived nearly 5 weeks without the internet, even though I thought in the beginning I would never be able to do so. 5 weeks catching up on MTF would be my biggest problem :o

To be honest, I can't see it ever happening. My iphone is my saviour, there's wi-fi in a lot of places here in Cape Town :worship:
No, the questions was meant in general. Did you play in the tennis team at the Jewish Olympics? Were was it held? I have never heard about the event. It's incredible that so many people attended it.
Yeah I represented Scotland, played singles and doubles. It was held in Israel, it's called the Maccabiah Games ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maccabiah_Games and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2009_Maccabiah_Games ). The standard was too good for me, I work full time so I can't compete with hopeful professionals but I didn't humiliate myself totally. I got knocked out by this guy, lost 6-2 6-1 ---> http://www.atpworldtour.com/Tennis/Players/Va/R/Raul-Valdes.aspx . I mean, he played DC for Chile and stuff, just way out of my league :tears: he hasn't been a pro for a while, but he does a lot of coaching in Chile and still hits with guys like Gonzo.
What are you doing in South Africa if I may ask? (I don't think you were there for doing genealogy about the family of Lynette Federer  ) Are you there just on holidays or for a special project? I don't know if you also have something like we have here in Germany where the opticians collect old glasses for people in Africa.
Yes we have the same thing in the UK, that is part of what I'm here for. There is also huge problems with cataracts in Africa, so I am helping out with some operations for less privileged people who cannot afford it. It is a very simple procedure. I was originally going to visit far worse cities than Cape Town, but I absolutely love it here so I've kind of taken the easy option and stuck here :smash:

Tiger is incredible, the fact that even the 100th ranked golfer in the world is a multi-millionaire is all down to him. He has totally changed the sport, 100% for the better. He removed all the racial barriers around golf too. And he was extremely marketable, just look at how many sponsorships he had. I don't think it's impossible he could repair his reputation, but I hope he tries.
He surely had more demanding draws, but we have seen that a draw sometimes means nothing. You have to beat the players who you get to meet. Since the next round of the Mr. MTF pageant is going to be underway soon, I need some more information to help me decide my votes. :D

Hi Alli, nice to "meet" you :wavey: Happy holidays to you :)

1. Good question  I think my choice of match would have to be Nadal vs. Federer, it's the match I get most passionate about (favourite player vs. least favourite). As for what the t-shirt would say...."Hi MTF! Rafa = Fed Killa. Fed, get ready for Clay Death. Action Jackson is the real GOAT" etc. Just fill it with MTF nonsense

2) I don't really get angry much, I tend to bottle it up rather than express it. I was angry when my football (soccer) team was 2-0 up the other day and managed to draw 2-2. I get angry on the tennis court too But sports anger is slightly different. I think the last time I was genuinely angry was about 2 weeks ago when I saw what I perceived to be child abuse, I was in a restaurant and the dad was verbally (and sort of physically) attacking a kid who can't have been more than 6 or 7. It was terrible.

3) Again, it takes quite a lot for me to be sad. I sound like such an unemotional guy :o Definitely the most recent was when I split up with my g/f who was fairly long term, even though it had been coming for a while it still hit me hard. I would say that only deaths and break-ups fully upset me, anything else I kind of just get on with my life.

4) Probably 2 :rolls: I'm extremely stubborn, especially if I passionately believe I'm right about something. Even if the evidence is stacked against me being correct, I still find it hard to back down. I possibly could've given myself a 1, but I think that when I do finally accept I'm wrong I have the grace to apologise and say sorry. That deserves an upgrade to a 2 I think

5) My mum was a teacher, then she became a headteacher. Anyway....based on experience (trying to coach football and tennis), it might not be wise for me to teach something I'm passionate about. I find myself getting a bit frustrated if others can't match my levels of passion or talent. So I'd maybe choose something like maths (or math as you say in the States). I'm good at it and don't dislike it, but I don't overly care about it. Worst would be science, particularly chemistry, even just thinking about it makes me want to stick forks in my eyes. Religious studies also wouldn't be fun, too much controversy for my liking.

Thanks for the questions :hatoff:

1) Cape Town has so much going for it. Firstly, I like the fact that I can be almost anywhere in the city, take a photo, and it will come it with a great view. I also like the vibe, people are friendly. The weather is perfect. The beaches are beautiful. The country has a lot of history, the touristy stuff is interesting. It's reasonably priced. I could go on for a while to be honest. Oh and lastly, the girls are stunning ;)

The South Africans love their English footy. They do all seem to fanboy*the big 4 though. I've been quick to point out the Cape Town and Spurs link, my efforts have been in vein so far I'm afraid :(

2) A little bit, yes  Not nearly as bad as German to be fair. It just sounds the same as Dutch, I'm told there are subtle differences.

3) Certainly at some point over the next 3-4 years. I think a 3-6 month travel around South America is still my top priority, but Australia is next on the list. I want to complete the career slam :armed:

4) I didn't, I wasn't even aware there was a show called it. What is it?

5) You - no, Jimbo - yes. I've heard only good things from Peta about you. I think it would be an experience :sport: I'd drag you to watch all my faves, you'd love it. I think we'd have a good time. Jimbo on the other hand scares me, I think he's a bit of a nutjob. I would happily avoid meeting him.

I am somewhat considering getting contacts. I think I have told you that I am petrified of them  I think also that I have stared at you many times as you put them in seeing how you do it :rolls:

a) Firstly do you think I should do this?
b) Are people generally nervous about putting something in their eye? Or am I abnormal?
:speakles:

a) OMG yes. I would recommend lenses to everyone, they're awesome. I think there's very few people who improve their look by wearing glasses. Perhaps I'm in the wrong profession :tape: but seriously, you should absolutely go for it. If you don't like them or whatever you can go back to glasses, but it's definitely worth a shot.

b) It's totally normal, 99% of people are scared at first. I was. Now I teach people so I have to try and get them over the fear. To be honest, with new modern soft lenses there's very little to be afraid of, there's hardly anything that can go wrong. You're probably more likely to poke your eye putting glasses on than you are to suffer problems with lenses. Of course you'll be nervous for a week or so, but it becomes natural very quickly. I'm sure you'll be fine. Trust me :awww:

As for what the t-shirt would say...."Hi MTF! Rafa = Fed Killa. Fed, get ready for Clay Death. Action Jackson is the real GOAT" etc. Just fill it with MTF nonsense

I have yet to do this myself but my ideal match would be Stan Wawrinka vs. Sam Querrey (with his Samurai entourage in tow). I would have to think of something crafty to put on it though. I couldn’t use StanSmitten (although I am) because I’d blush myself to death.

2) I don't really get angry much, I tend to bottle it up rather than express it. I was angry when my football (soccer) team was 2-0 up the other day and managed to draw 2-2. I generally am very calm as well and agree that sport anger is very different. My answer is really lame, but if we can count the last time I cursed and was mildly peeved, it would be two days ago while watching the game show “Deal or No Deal.” I have only seen the show once and the episode was a rerun so I figured I’d get to see the end of it. I’m not sure how I got sucked into it. I watched it for an hour and then it cut off before they were finished and switched over to Family Feud. In my disbelief and dismay, I said ‘aw F*&% Richard Karn’ after the host introduced himself. Then, I felt bad about it and apologized to the tv.

Was this a recent attempt? There's been a lot of new lenses come out which could solve this if you haven't given them a try.....like Acuvue TruEye and Ciba Aqua Comfort dailies. But yes, some people are simply intolerent to them. Same thing with multifocals, it's just a case of trial and error.

Can I bump myself up to a 10 then? :sport:
If I were to teach, I would select Science as my best subject (analytical mind, love for science). I’ll teach chemistry for you . Music would be my worst. I can’t sing nor keep a steady beat. For me to try would surely result in grievances from the students’ parents. :p

I can't sing either, but I like trying :p

It's just that the longer he goes without one, the more the doubts creep in.

Something similiar was said about a certain Swiss player a few years ago - and now look what happened since he won his 1st Grand Slam title in Wimbledon in 2003 ;)

Thanks for the links :) That was a really interesting read.

I think most important is that you had a great time there, the result doesn't really matter. It's taking part that counts. And don't forget - even a 15times Grand Slam tournament winner once got a terrible beatdown in an important match :awww: ;)

Do you keep in contact with some of the people you got to know there?

Yes we have the same thing in the UK, that is part of what I'm here for. There is also huge problems with cataracts in Africa, so I am helping out with some operations for less privileged people who cannot afford it. It is a very simple procedure. I was originally going to visit far worse cities than Cape Town, but I absolutely love it here so I've kind of taken the easy option and stuck here :smash:

My mother had a cataract operation in the end of September and she was so surprised about how fast the operation went and that she didn't had any pains. She was a bit worried at first before the operation. Unfortunately she didn't said yes when they asked her shortly after whether they should operate the 2nd eye. She wanted to wait, but then decided pretty quickly afterwards that she wanted to get the 2nd operation. Now she has to wait until March to get a date at the eye doctor here in town.

Luckily she could drip her eye herself - I couldn't do it :scared:

It's always amazing to hear with how less money you can save the eyesight of someone in Africa as the operation is quite cheap, right?

How long are you going to stay in South Africa? :)

Are people generally nervous about putting something in their eye? Or am I abnormal?

I'm abnormal then, too ;)

I wear glasses and never thought about getting contacts. The only time my glasses bother me is when they steam up. If they wouldn't be that expensive I would surely buy me more :)

How about "Stan's my man :rocker2: "

Ok maybe not. :o

Highly objectionable. You’re totally out of the running now to be my tournament wardrobe consultant. :p

Although, while I was at the USA vs SUI Davis Cup first round tie earlier this year, someone did ask me if I was Stan’s girlfriend.

I love Deal or No Deal :rolls: it's so bad that it's good. I can understand the frustration.

I can’t quite figure out the allure of it. Why would I spend an entire hour watching a game of chance? To me, whether or not someone should take the deal depends upon their yearly household income. If I knew that, I could yell out much better recommendations for the contestant.

:awww: that sucks, where abouts do you live? Did you have a really bad Xmas then? :(
Awww, thanks. I live in the plains of the Midwest. The problem with where I live is the wind, which creates blinding blowing snow. We didn’t get multiple feet of snow overall, but I live on a hill and all of the blowing snow accumulates in the area. I had been stuck in my house since Tuesday :scared: and finally got out today. *phew* My Christmas was different than I had planned, but not bad. My family ‘rescheduled’ it for another weekend. To me all that matters is getting together.

Can I bump myself up to a 10 then? :sport:

Those must be some seriously platinum status apologies. But if you say so, sure. A perfect 10 it is

I couldn’t vote for you in the Mr. MTF contest against Sammy this round. :awww: :awww: But it looks like you’re set to win it. I’ll vote for you in the next round though (as long as my buddy Ted is out too :awww: ). It’s a Simontard loyalty thing.

My attempt to make up for it: More questions :D

1. How would you describe your personal style (regarding clothing)?
2. Have you ever been a contestant on a game show? If not, which game show would you most want to be on?
3. If you could wake up having gained one quality or ability, what would it be?
4. Whom do you admire most? In what way(s) does that person inspire you?
5. What are five of your favorite possessions?
6. How would you describe your laugh? [Is yours closer to a giggle or a chortle? Perhaps a guffaw? :p ]

1) Do you ever see yourself going back to live and work in Scotland.

2) In January you made these comments on areas where Woods eclipsed Federer:

"13. So many. Humility. Passion. Charisma. Fighting qualities. The ability to market and raise the profile of a sport. Taste in women."

Do you still hold by these (He seems to have a diverse interest in women).:lol::lol:

3) Who do you feel is your biggest competitor in Mr MTF and why.

4) Who do you think will win the football World Cup next year.

5) Will you be cheering Murray on to victory at Wimbledon this year.

 yes, I haven't forgotten about that one. To be honest I went there knowing I was a bit out of my depth, it was just an amazing experience.

I've kept in contact with quite a lot yes. That was also part of the whole thing - it was cool meeting people from all over the world.

Yeah, it's an extremely quick, easy and cheap procedure and it's not risky. I'm glad your mother has benefited.

A lot of the shanty towns here there is big problems with vision but they don't know there is a way out. That's sort of what we're doing and it's very rewarding. I think there are other parts of Africa which are a lot worse, but I'm admittedly a little selfish and wanted to enjoy myself at the same time so I chose to come to Cape Town because I love the city.

I'll be going back to London on the 12th Jan

I'm the same, I know it's not the most skilled game of all time. But for some reason I find myself watching it often. It's probably the gambler mentality inside me that I can't shake off despite giving it up several years ago.
Awww, thanks. I live in the plains of the Midwest. The problem with where I live is the wind, which creates blinding blowing snow. 1. Mmmm . Well I like wearing jeans and a t-shirt. I don't really like wearing anything with long sleeves. I wouldn't say I'm the most stylish guy ever  I take some pride in my appearance but I don't go too over the top, I keep it fairly simple. I go through phases of what I like, I'm kind of past designer brands and onto different/interesting stuff. I'm finding this hard to answer for some reason :o

2. Nope, never. I'd love to be on several. Who Wants To Be A Millionaire would be my #1 choice, it's the one I'd be most likely to win a decent amount of money on and I like the show. Also, they're not game shows as such but I'd love to be on Big Brother and the UK equivalent of American Idol. I think I crave fame ;)

3. Is the ability to fly unachievable? :tears: Ok I'll say that I'd love to be very good at a musical instrument. I had times when I played the guitar and piano, but I couldn't get anywhere close to being as good as I wanted to be so I gave them up. I would also like to be better at learning new languages, it's something I'm really awful at. I've always wished I'd become a professional sportsman, but I'm pretty satisfied with my levels of football, tennis and golf so I can't really say it's something I wish to pick up.

4. My grandpa that died a number of years ago. He was badly affected in the 2nd world war, and was in Auschwitz but somehow survived. Every single person in his family was killed....parents, grandparents, 8 brothers and sisters, friends etc. I have the ability to get upset and go into a self-pity mode for the smallest things, and yet he'd been through all of that and was full of the joys of spring, never had a bad word to say about anyone. He was a real inspiration.

5. My iPhone, my little VW Polo, my PS3, my Sony Bravia tv in my room and my laptop. I would struggle to live without any of them....Oh man, I'm horrendously materialistic :sobbing:

6. Oh jeez I don't really know. Maybe I should ask someone. I don't really like my laugh  (I just giggled to myself as I wrote that :o ). Someone once told me I laughed a bit like that Dick Dastardly guy from the cartoon, I don't think it was a compliment. Hmmm maybe ask Troickitard the question in her spotlight thread, she's met me enough times to comment :p

Thanks for the questions

1) No chance. I mean, I like going back to visit but moving back from London would be a step down. I've seriously thought about leaving London but I doubt it'll happen, and if it did it would be to a foreign country.

2) Oh shit  yes I stick by them (sort of). What he has done for golf is incredible, Federer hasn't nearly had the same impact. On the women subject....I haven't seen many of his supposed mistresses, but I would imagine they're all better looking than Mirka. And whatever happens, Elin is a real cracker.

3) Oh I kind of answered this too late now it's almost finished. I knew Ghost and Tedle were both strong candidates, and obviously ExcaliburII's a legend in both looks and personality. Most of the guys I'd have voted for over almost anyone didn't compete - scarecrows, bad gambler, P. Antonius etc.*

4) Spain would be my favourites. Unbelievably strong in midfield and up front, and they've got the monkey off their backs with the Euro 08 win. I don't really fancy any of the other European teams. Brazil are always dangerous, can't write them off. I think Ivory Coast and Ghana will do well, I'm expecting one of them to reach the SF.

5. Damn right, I'm starting to think Wimbledon might actually be his best chance at a slam as well.

Cheers :wavey:

I didn’t place limits on it. Humans can fly, just not for very long :p Musical instruments/languages are cool. I learn very differently than most people, so I have a hard time with those too. I’ve always wanted to learn to play the drums but could never do it. Rock Band was a godsend for that. The guitar skills might not transfer over to the real instrument but the drum skills do. Rosetta Stone software rocks for language learning too.

What do you think of Leona Lewis, Britain's voice?
That was a bit random

She's got a very good voice, no doubt about it. Sometimes I think it sounds like she's being strangled though. I haven't really been a huge fan of any of her songs, Bleeding Love was horrifically overplayed, and I prefered Snow Patrols version of Run. Probably the one song I liked was Better In Time. Oh and her Kelly Clarkson cover was ok.
I think I could do pretty well on Millionaire too. Big Brother is wretched but I’ll give you props for American Idol equiv (Brit’s GT?). I stood/sat in line for 9 hrs to get on The Price is Right several years ago but missed the cut by about four people. My friends refused to get up early and tanked our bid.
Nooo, our equivalent of American Idol is called The X Factor. Britains Got Talent is our equivalent of Americas Got Talent :p

Actually thinking about it I'd also like to go on Deal Or No Deal for a laugh. I'd be screwed though, there's no way I'd deal before the end

1) Good question! I haven't asked him, but I can predict the answer will be "I reeeeeeally want to but I can't afford it", before he inevitably does come. Probably some of his mugs like Cips and other players that no-one really likes will be in qualies. I'd say there's a good chance he'll come unless he's miles away like in South Africa ( :inlove: ) or something.

2) Are you trying to get me into trouble here? :o

Hmmmm. I'm not counting Matt in this because he's not really an MTFer. Oh man*I'm gonna forget about some people for sure here....Tijn is awesome, great fun to be around. Deb, Peta and Jiatypoo are all super nice and I really liked meeting them and hope I can do so again. Claire was a big surprise, great girl who I enjoy annoying every day now by iPhone messenger. I've also had brief meetings with Rosie, Nick, Josh....And of course I love all the Romanian girls - Aleka, Dora, Via.....but if I had to pick one (other than you) it would be Andreea. I adore Andreea. She's one of the sweetest people I've ever met.

:secret: I don't think she reads MTF much anymore though, I should really have chosen someone that I could get brownie points with :tears:

3) You so know the answer to this :haha: there is one or two, yes. But I won't say it here, I'm sure you can work out who it is ;)

- I'd love to be able to say so, but it would be highly generous. I'm doing some good things but I'd certainly much rather be here in the scorching heat every day than back home stuck freezing in the practice all day and it getting dark about 3pm. Plus I'm living in like a palace. I could live like this for the rest of my life, it's not like I'm doing badly myself out of it.

- Did you really say that? :o I would hope people wouldn't get too offended. Probably your penis picture caused more of a stir to be honest.

- My stepdad is an optician and owns the practice, so when I finished uni I was struggling to find work and ended up doing some bits for him. I quite liked it so I've been working and studying at the same time and here I am 4 years later....

- Pretty much exactly what you get on MTF. Maybe a bit more shy/quieter than you might imagine, but a great girl with a very gentle soul, wouldn't hurt a fly. I really don't have a bad thing to say about her.

- When I first read the question, I was thinking it's the worst nickname I've ever heard. But strangely, now I've reached answering the question I must confess it has slightly grown on me. So there's a chance, yes. I think the haters might change it to Twat Heart though :tears:

- Mmmm I seem to remembering answering this question. In theory, I'm for it. I've always wanted independance for us. But in reality I think Scotland might struggle on their own, it probably isn't a good idea.

- I can just imagine Simon Cowell's face :o I'd like to go on just so I could punch that twat Louis Walsh. I actually did consider doing it for a laugh, but I can't really be arsed queuing for hours and hours and then just getting told 'no' in the preliminary rounds. If I was guaranteed to get on tv I'd do it in a flash.
Not apologetic at all :o
Nope  I wrote it on the postcard, I thought it was quite amusing :D
as twat to twat what do you prefer-me in your mtf shadow 24/7 making fun of you all the time(easier way) or friendly chooper?it's up to you.
Is there such a thing as "friendly chooper"

To be honest I couldn't care less if you make fun of me, you don't know me at all. So whatever floats your boat is fine with me :hatoff:
:(

Careful, youngblood. I just might start asking you all sorts of WTF questions.
In a weird and twisted way, I sort of miss your questions
I only know one, and it's the one I named by name in my spotlight thread ;)

But if it's one... or two.. I'm intrigued ;) *The or two I do not think I know :rolls:
I will tell you who it is when I text you later to wish you happy new year ;)

Happy New Year everyone :aparty: hoping all your dreams come true in 2010 (unless you're an Arsenal or Federer fan) :D

Hi Adam :wavey:

A few very important questions:

How is your tennis game coming along?

Have you ever been to the Isle of Man?

What are your thoughts and feelings on Robin Soderling?

What are your thoughts and feelings on peanut butter?

What is your favorite sandwich?

Have you ever been to Sandwich?

Have you ever been to Hamburg? (sorry, I'm hungry)

Have you ever owned an aquarium?

If we were to play tennis, how do you think you would deal with my changes of pace and my daisy-cutter slice? I'm not sure you could handle what I bring to the court.

Favourite decade?

Now let's talk about guilty pleasures. What films and songs do you like that you really shouldn't?

Who's this Matt I keep hearing about in Jess' thread? Your name isn't Matt, so I am immediately suspicious of this fellow.

Favourite television and movie character of all time?

I'm watching Wall Street as we speak. Greed is good. Agree or disagree?

Do you get emotional at new year, like my mother, and cry when Auld Lang Syne comes on?

Favourite Murray match?

Best tennis match you've ever witnessed live?

If you could take up any other occupation, what would it be?
