The doubles rubber could be decisive and both couples have good Davis Cup records.

Who will win and why?

Spain. We suck in doubles.

Spain of course. Calleri is a semi-retired player. Nalbi by himself can't beat a solid doubles pair.

Hm ... Nalbandian played very well in doubles recently, but I don't know about Calleri. I think Spain will make this point.

Lalo has his cojones on place and he has played a lot with Nando, so I'll go with Spain ;)

Wow, the Argies couldn't manage a sandwich order at the moment...now a 2nd mistake (after leaving Arnold-Ker out of the squad) in nominating Calleri alongside Bandy. Chucho is surely the better option...Gordo is way too hit-and-miss to trust in a match as important as this one - a match that also promotes strong teamwork skills. Unless he is hitting the ball very sweetly, he will be letting Dave down time after time...

Actually, thinking about it, it does make a little bit of sense. I'm guessing Chucho will be held back as a fresh player for a potential live 4th rubber match...would agree with holding him in higher regard than Calleri for that (assuming JMDP won't be playing). But, still, the Argies can't afford to be hedging their bets on that 4th match...even in his sucky current form, Ferrer isn't a pushover.

I take it that Canas is injured? How times have changed! Not too long ago, Argentina had such a deep bench.

Dedicated to Excali**** and G_Marcaccio twat. :haha:

So, do you entrust the job of keeping the tie alive with a lame Del Potro, a "stoned" Chucho or a mis-firing Calleri? :tape:
