I think Acapulco is a good choice, since it is ATP 500, weaker than Dubai (same week) and, in the following week, he'll have to play Davis Cup on Clay, so he'll be able to practise on Acapulco first and get some easy points. :)

I think he is committed to Rotterdam. I don't believe he will play the SA clay swing and will opt for hard court practice. Plus, this keeps him in Europe for a longer period of time before he does the horrid month-long-2-1000Series events before the clay season begins. Also, by staying in Europe, he will more easily switch to clay for DC (no jet-lag). So, if he indeed will play Rotterdam, then Dubai is a possibility also.

Re: Grass. I would add Queens.

Re: Clay. I would eliminate Hamburg.

Next summer will be tricky with defending points and the calendar going back to its "normal" timing. Since Toronto and Cincy were played earlier this year and the Gold medal points are also dropping off before Toronto and Cincy are played is a question I have. It will come down to how close the others are to him. But I think that will be a tricky period of time.

Yeah, I'm sure he will go to Rotterdam this year. Just don't go back to Paris, rAfa.
