Unless the travelling tires him out, he should be fine until the quarters. Then there is a chance of a really difficult match.

Andy will play Querrey 1st match

Well done, Andy - though you couldn't resist giving us a few heart attacks at the beginning and the end, could you?

Verdasco next. H2H 4-0 to Andy. . . I spy a possible pigeon.

10-30-2008, 04:45 PM
I was just about to check when he's playing and there I see that he's already done
6-3 7-6 - keeping his perfect record against Verdasco!

Did anyone watch the match? How did he play?

I saw most of the match on AMSTV, though my computer crashed (for no apparent reason) in the middle of the first set and I missed 4 games.

Andy was looking a bit tired; though maybe he was just frustrated that Verdasco was playing better than usual and was not so easy to dispose of!

We'll see in the next round. Well, I won't - I'm away for the next 3 days (awful timing) so will miss the match(es).
Cheer Andy on for me!

Ok thank you.
Then I will cross my fingers for the match against Nalbandian (which could be a tough one) and hope that he's not too tired :)

great job Andy

Murray philosophical after Nalbandian defeat

Andy Murray is disappointed his 14-game winning streak has come to an end, but is full of praise for David Nalbandian who beat the Briton in the Paris Masters quarter-finals.
