What's the verdict?

I don't mind them. Besides, a lot of times when I miss a day or two of tennis action I usually tell by these threads who advanced.

I´m not too crazy about them, I don´t really see the point. But I´m looking forward to the off-season for some great, innovative threads!

MTF was never good

depends on which one

a WWW between Federer and Vassallo Arguello on grass is quite pointless..

some, from time to time, happen to be interesting.. but only close matches

most of them are just useless and pointless..

I don't think the threads are the problem when people are discussing the topic. But there are too many folks here that think they are comedians and the these threads get flooded with lame one liners.

I'm not. There's much worse stuff to find in GM and from time to time there's even some interesting discussions in there. (Unless they include a pointless 1st round match.)

They are pointless.

I'm more than that sick of some of newbie users who try to increase their post #s.those who open tons of threads in a day!!

imo WWW threads make more sense than the match result threads.

it should definitely stay as it is now.

they are not pointless, if you dont like em, dont look at them.

you are soooo right!!! And all these match result threads where they try to be the first who posts it and we end up having 5 threads with the same headline

exactly. they're worthwhile the odd time you get a bit of match-up analysis but usually just shit.

you'd probably complain there's too many WWW threads if there was a WWW forum :tape:

This thread is far more pointless than any WWW thread.

I love them-- quick and easy small vcash earning ;)

They are cool as long as the match-ups are good.

I don't like polls featuring two outsiders whose match is totaly irrelevent or let's say Nadal-Cipolla on clay of RG.

And I don't like some mugs opening www? threads 30 minutes before the match start. :retard:

Most of you are just typing tripe.

WWW polls are always good.
WWW threads reveal the predictions of posters, and significantly reveal their grasp of the game.

they are fine.
if you don't like them, don't read them

they help a lot the gamblers who don't have an opinion on how the match will go but still want desperately to bet on that match

WWW threads are pathetic.

ChinoRios4Ever

depends of the match :p

but it's pathetic when a Fed-Rafa, Rafa-Nole or Fed-Nole WWW thread became a chat thread :ras:

Stop Linkmage, Heretic and Locoporeltenis from starting threads and all the irrelevant WWW threads will be gone.

So far in whole my existence on MTF I have started exactly 14 www threads and all of them where of some relevance to me. Who makes you the authority for deciding the relevance of matches? Or are you just talking out of your ass and trying to PEAK for ACC? Good job, keep it going. http://elouai.com/images/yahoo/a29.gif

Back to the pool: sort of biased options, I don't think www threads are the best thing but they can be useful and fun for reading before the match and even more after.

I like them in general. I skip those that I don't care about.

I usually like them, most obviously when reading them afterwards, especially in those occasions where 90% of posters expected Player X to get trashed by Player Y and the eventual result is the other way round. :p

Well said. And it's not just the WWW threads that suffer from this. Some people obviously feel the need to write stuff like "expected", "never in doubt" and "retire you mug" in every thread. Even the smarter treads are flooded with this.
