Actually it was 6-0 2-1 ret. But Superbol didn't look in any great trouble until after the first set - I think he just realised he wasn't going to get anywhere and decided to get out before he made any damage worse for no benefit.

It was wonderful to see that Aggressive Andy turned up! The next match against Cilic will be much harder, though - Cilic is playing frighteningly well so far this week.

He was very obviously having trouble with the recurrent knee problem for much of the match, but he gritted his teeth and ground out the win. As it is something that comes and goes - I understand the situation, I have a similar problem with the right ankle - hopefully he will not have any trouble when he meets Roddick or Monfils.

I missed the match but managed to record the livestream, so I have just watched it. Andy had Gael completely bewildered!

It's going to be tough against Federer, who seems to be back virtually at his best. I am expecting a much better performance from Andy than in the USO final, though.

Yeah I hope he'll doing better than at the USO final. Federer's playing really well this week, but when Andy can keep up his good game it will be a very interesting match.

From what I have read Rafa was not in the best of health and would probably not have played had he not been desperate to clinch the year-end #1. I was 99% sure Andy would have beaten him in the final.
