This Farquharson looks to have quite some talent. Taking a set off Prpic on a fast surface in one of his first ITFs is pretty neat.

The fact he was born in 1992 adds up to what you said :)

That 3-tiebreak thriller probably let Pokrajac too tired to do a good match against Prpic.

Yeah, agreed. Pokrajac would need to be playing at top form to beat Prpic, a win would have been his best of the season. Still, Milan has struggled to string together winning matches, so it's nice to see that he earns some points at least. He drops only 4 points for the rest of 2008, so if he can get even some quarters and semis appearances he'll be gaining something.

Goodall is struggling a little bit in this tournament... I think that Evans will have his chances against him.

Good luck, Daniel :yeah:

To be honest, it's not a great showing. Pokrajac is not in good shape at all and the scoreline against Klingemann, and subsequent demolition by Prpic, only add to that. He had this good run in Canada once, but really hasn't done anything outstanding after that

Haven't seen Evans play, but considering his run in Futures this year I also give him a shot. Nevertheless, the fact that Goodall's match against Skupski was close doesn't necessarily mean anything. It's a fast surface and Skupski is a good player on fast surfaces (doh, he's British :tape: :p), while Goodall is also not a renowned returner.

I hope Josh wins and that Stéphane takes out Prpic :yeah:

I saw Evans last June at Queen's (in TV, of course). He lost to Malisse badly and didn't play well, but I always like to support the "young guns" :D

and Goodall, well, he lost a set against Sabaté, that's why I thought he's struggling a bit :p

We'll see what happens.

Yeah, but from what I've gathered Sabate-Bretos is not your typical Spaniard, in the sense that he plays best on fast surfaces. But of course, I too expected it to be much easier for Goodall.

What I've seen of him is on clay (RG qualies, 2006), where I think his game comes to live the best. He's a retriever who can quite aptly switch defense into offense. He had a great run there, defeating a red-hot Simon Greul, but fell to Wayne Arthurs (on clay..) in the final qualifying round. I remember the daily bulletins were giving him much attention

It has been a while since I've seen him though, so he might have developed his game. He has also had injury problems after I saw him.
