Monfils is exciting for his athleticism, not his tennis IMO.

Picking Monfils. Hoping he wins, but...this playing ten feet behind the baseline is getting annoying. A few months ago he said that he wants to start playing like James Blake. I'd like to see that...not holding my breath.

Monfils is the in form player. Nalbandian is in the who hell knows kind of form. Normally that makes Nalbandian the pick but I think Monfils takes it.

A few months ago he said that he wants to start playing like James Blake. I'd like to see that...not holding my breath.Champion said in an article during RG that when they talked about the kind of tennis he likes at the beginning of their collaboration, Monfils told him he'd love to be able to play like Blake, hitting winners all over the court. And Champion answered being more aggressive clearly is the goal indeed, but Blake's style of game is not possible with Monfils' technique and he first needs to recover a consistent ground game anyway.

That's the only Blake reference I know, I can't remember Monfils saying publicly he is currently trying to play like Blake?

(As for me, I certainly don't want him to either, I think his own style is more disturbing for the opponent than continuous ballbashing.)

I'm hoping for David, since I really want to see how he does against Nadal.

This is a toughie. Im happy whoever wins but i think fattie will pull it out the bag in 5 providing he can go without food for 3/4hours.

revenge match for Bejing, so probably the reverse score, too

but i strongly believe they go to McDonald's or other Burger King after the match together

I agree with you. He's not being given enough credit for the way he varies his tempo and force the opponent to adjust. (FO vs Ferrer is a good example). He forced Ferrer to be the aggressor--but, that's not Ferrers game. I don't think he's far from being a top 10 player, but to beat the Djokovic type, he needs something --offensive--a shot, or presence at the net, something in addition to the serve.

I think Nalbandian, but it could go either way.
