I'm just happy that he's getting wins. 3 quallie matches last week and 2 this week. He may still be struggling in the main draw but at least he's getting some victories. I was hoping for a win in this match just so Alex didn't lose for nothing  .

Brian will get there. He wants it again.

Now if only 5:30 would get here faster.

I wouldn't feel guilty about it, girlfriend. He was playing injured and only a few people knew about it (like me). Obviously some people here missed it, but I won't mention any names. I've updated my homepage and I'll post any news that I get from JMG or anyone who was there. I just hope it's not serious, needing surgery or anything like that.

07-20-2004, 10:05 PM

I don't know why he played anyway, he must have thought he could get through and I just hope he hasn't made it worse. Believe me my imagination is running absolutely wild waiting to hear from him.

I'm thinking that gun is pretty juiced. They had JMG's fastest serve at 136. On a bad left knee? I'm not so sure...

shouldn't have jinxed them :banghead:

ok, I'll let them play now without any further comments!

Neely, how late are you staying up tonight?
I think I'll follow Bogomolov's match until the end and go to bed afterwards... but if Kiefer would play at 5am my time I would get up (stay up) for his match if my schedule allows it (or if I don't have anything important this day)

Deboogle!.

LOL!! Well lucky for you I don't think he'll be playing TOO late tomorrow :)

yeah, I checked the time in your OOP thread for Wednesday and I'm glad with his match... it's really not too late

BTW, reading my last previous post I've just noticed that I made a bad grammatical mistake... "if Kiefer would play"... didn't all my English teachers always tell me "Neely, NEVER USE IF AND WOULD TOGETHER in a conditional clause" :smash: :smash: :rolls:

Fee
07-21-2004, 12:22 AM

Brian :sobbing: You were winning. What happened? :crying2:
And JMG retired from dizziness???

Yes, but it appears there was a little bit more to it. One of my regular visitors was at the match and she sent me a few photos (I just can't bring myself to post them, he's looks to be in so much pain). She also described the breathing problems and apparent chest pains he was having. He also seems to be covered in more sweat than I'm used to seeing on him. It looks like dehyrdration as well as whatever else was going on,a and I bet the knee problem didn't help. I'm sure I'll hear from him when he feels well enough to sit at his laptop and write an email. I'll post any updates I get on my homepage.

In the meantime, there's a really great photo of him on the messageboard. He looks so good now that he's letting his hair grow out again.

I don't know if that is meant as sarcastic or not. But considering how I saw him fight and play last week and the two quallie matches this weekend (including taking out Bogie...even though I doubt Alex gave 100%)? I say...YES. Brian is playing well again and he deserves a little faith in him.

Deboogle!.

I don't find anything humorous in that but

You're right that an "ATP match" might be difficult. WHY? Because he's now ranked in the 200s and he'll be paying his dues in the Challengers again for most of the year. That's not where he wants to be but there's no shame in it either.
