Well I've never agreed with equal prize money  Equal pay for equal work and equal opportunities - yes - for sure. But these two silly ******* couldn't take one game off the Number 375 man in the world - so why pay them as much as Nole and the others? They are dire - I've seen better in my local park.

No disrespect meant to anyone, but this should be the gold match IMO. It sucks that the loser of this might not even get bronze.

I'm also superstitious so I never watch him play

So I'm not the only one!!! Whenever Nole loses, I feel I somehow jinxed him by following the match. Often when I'm watching and he plays badly, I go to another room and he immediately starts playing better. Then I try sneaking back to watch and, equally fast, he begins to play miserably again. So I'm forced to stay in the kitchen and catch quick peeks through a crack in the door.

Sad really. It was the same with Hingis.

But thank goodness I couldn't watch this match in the first place, so am not even tempted to jinx. Thanks to everyone here for being my scoreboard ;)

Absolutely. Especially against Nadal who never lets things get to him. He gets too nervous in big matches still. Hope he gets better as he gets older.

What I love about Djokovic is his heart and his emotion. Sometimes it betrays him, but I think not today. He showed such heart and fight even after his draining victory yesterday. I am truly proud of him even though he didn't win. It's no shame to lose to Nadal, and Nole will have his time another day. as much as i love nole, i do agree about the attitude adjustment. i kinda detested the way he was behaving in some moments against monfils. further, chucking rackets and bottles etc is immature and gives away too much to the other side. i love that he shows passion and fire on the court but there is a limit. i hope he can learn from this so he can be a better player.

And as soon as the draw comes out, everyone goes "maybe we'll see a dream final of Fed and Nadal." It's like, haven't they noticed how Fed's been playing on HC this season? I know Fed and Rafa are guaranteed opposite sides, but I'd rather want a Djokovic-Nadal final. There matches as of late have been great, excluding the FO SF.

Sorry Lee - but I will say this and I promise it will be my last post in this Forum on the matter. Those lurkers and haters come here with the express intention of hurting us - especially me. They look for straight quotes to take from here to put in signatures etc and laugh at, and stir and cause trouble, and some people who I would like to have thought knew better, go there to join in the sick mockery.

They have no idea what might be happening in posters' personal lives, nor how their actions might upset - they just hate and want to hurt, so that some people here are scared to even speaking freely here because their words will be taken out of context for a cheap laugh.

I wouldn't "take them on there" because I hate confrontation and as I don't go there myseslf, I only know what I am told by others who tell me what is going on. But I am hurt, not just by their behaviour, but by the behaviour of others who don't stand up to them and tell then to lay-off attacking people who might be going through God-knows-what in their personal lives, and their behaviour is the last straw that breaks their heart.

OK - rant over - I won't mention them again here. But some of us would have liked some more support.

And Ajde Cavic in 100m butterfly.

:speakles:

I sincerely hope Cavic wins the silver medal :D

I'd like to see Phelps break Spitz's record :D

I'm devastated by this loss.
He deserved to win. This is so hard to swallow.

Plus I'm sad cause our volleyball team is getting thrashed and my bro (receiver for our team) broke a finger of his right arm while trying to reach a ball in the stands. :sobbing::tears:

I saw him with his hand all wrapped up on both JJ's and Novak's match. He was cheering along with a number of our athletes. One of our receivers is already hurt, now my brother too.. And we have to win the next match in order to progress to the QF.

God I hope Novak will recover for tomorrow. I know I'd be so down.
But he's a pro and he wants a medal. He'll rise to the occasion, I'm positive.

GO NOVAK :boxing::armed:

    for you and your brother. But, still, you must be so proud of him.

Seems like Cavic has a great shot at getting a medal, though I'd probably bet on Phelps to get the gold. Hope he does well.

Thanks guys.

I'm sure Novak will get a lot of support and play his heart out tomorrow.
That was a brave match on his part today.

This country is proud to have such an athlete.:worship:

Remember, silver is won by default (just by getting in the finals), and bronze has to be fought for.:boxing:

Novak is a fighter. And he knows we love him.

There's no words to explain how proud I am.:bigcry: I'm just so sad he won't get to play, and he wanted to be a part of the team so much, ever since he was a little boy..

Plus he plays such an important role in our team. There's really no one half as good to replace him. God help us tomorrow. All of us.

For Nole

The problem is that, if you bitch about them in return, how can you justify saying that they shouldn't bitch about you?

I mean, you guys were discussing them earlier in the thread. I mean, I don't go in the Rafa chat thread, but how is what yu're doing and what they do any different?

I do think that Phelps will win, but I certanly hope he'll not. Now, don't be greedy, we want only ONE medal if more is impossible, Phelps alone already has more than my country could dream of.

CAVIC FTW :rocker2:

Like I said to Lee - I won't discuss it here anymore in fairness to other posters here. But suffice to say it goes back a long, long way - and - yes - certain people there "started" it to put it in the schoolyard vernacular. But - whatever - I'm just f***** with it to be honest. I just feel like leaving MTF for good - which is what they always wanted for years - I'm too sick of their behaviour towards me to fight it anymore - so - whatever

Although if Phelps must lose one of his races, I would be happier if it's Cavic than some other random swimmer :)

Phelps will no doubt, thus, my cheer for Cavic. Although I like Lochte too. :awww: But he has an individual gold already...

Someone else on here was saying how swimming is boring since Phelps is winning everything. I can understand that view, but I find it exciting that he could make history by winning 8. Though, I guess he already made history by becoming the most decorated Olympian in history.

If it makes it easier to cheer for Cavic, Lochte isn't competing against him. Crocker is the other American in this race. He's also the current WR holder. It could be a very interesting swim.

I really do like Phelps and I don't find him boring at all. I would love him to break that record, honestly, too bad that would mean Cavic should lose.

and one more time before I leave CAVIC!!!! :p

p.s. I'm still kinda ignoring the match, Seeing Novak in tears broke my heart , Cheer up kiddo, better days will come. Congrats to Nadal! not my fav but he's almost unbeatable lately.

His whole career and sacrifice will be put in that 50-51 seconds

To be honest...I do think Phelps will take the gold, but I hope with all my heart that Mile can do it...it's not easy to be better than Phelps three times in a row though, and I think the mental side will prevail this time. I think Cavic might be too excited and nervous about it, that's what scares me.

I didn't see the first set, but it seemed like a great match. And congrats to Rafa as well. They both deserved to win today.
Oh well, a bronze medal will still be a fantastic result and even if he doesn't win it, it'll still be ok. He'll have another chance at the gold :yeah:

Bless - so awful to see him crying. He really mustn't let this get to him but am afraid it might. Perhaps the additional pressure of playing for Serbia just pushed him over - he's not really had that sort of national expectation before in a major match.
