Am I missing something or do they only have 3 quarter-finals scheduled to be on TV here in the USA?

The Tennis Channel is advertising that they're playing the Simon-Cilic match, but according to their schedule that will be on a big delay.

ESPN2 has room for only two matches, and they match up with the Kiefer/Blake and Djokovic/Murray match times. But they have no time scheduled for the match after that which is Rafa/Gasquet. If this is really what's going to happen, I'm out of patience for trying to watch tennis on TV. The Tennis Channel was doing a fantastic job playing this entire tournament live, and as soon as coverage gets divided up, the idiots in charge don't know that there are FOUR quarters in anything that's being divided into quarters, not three.

I know ESPN2 has a two hour block scheduled from 1 PM to 3 PM Eastern time, and it looks like Simon/Cilic will be on delay on TTC...what about the other two QFs?

I'll delete this thread when I get an answer. Thank you!

EDIT: I found out about Djokovic/Murray...what about Nadal/Gasquet? That's the only match I really care about. :o

i think espn 2 is showing 7pm-9 ET, so the djoko murray match, and the TTC is going to show the nadal-gasquet match after that, not entirely sure

TTC advertised that they were showing Cilic-Simon at 9 pm tonight. Maybe, they'll show it live if ESPN doesn't show Nadal or maybe ESPN will stay with it until both QFs are done. Who knows? Back to crappy tennis coverage in the US. :(

I can't delete this thread? :o MTF is so different from WTAW...

I'm puzzled a blockbuster like Nadal/Gasquet doesn't have a designated time.

*&%$#! If they don't show the Nadal/Gasquet and Djokovic/Murray match, they are just plain stupid. They are the only two worth watching. But hey, its ESPN in America. I'm sure we'll be stuck watching Blake/Kiefer. And let's see..since Henman's retired, the only other somewhat British ass they can kiss is Murray's. This leaves out Nadal's match. If TTC shows it, it'll probably get blocked due to time conflicts here on the West coast. #$%@!

I just saw a mention on the Tennis Channel that they've added the Rafa match to the schedule, but on about a four hour delay, at 1am ET. So I'll still be stuck following the score on live internet scoreboard. Very frustrating.

so, no live coverage of Nadal's match

I just don't get it. I saw the OOP for the semis, and Simon/Kiefer are playing at 3pm ET, and Rafa/Murray are playing at 7pm ET. The ESPN2 coverage is on at 8pm ET and midnight ET, so neither match is live. Whether they'll play the earlier match, Simon/Kiefer, in the first slot on five hour delay, or the Rafa/Murray on one hour delay, who knows? But either way, what is the point of ESPN forcing the Tennis Channel to stop playing live coverage, that they'd been doing all week very well, if ESPN2 doesn't even plan to play the matches live themselves? It makes no sense whatsoever. So, many of us are stuck watching both freaking semis on internet scoreboard. This is getting beyond annoying. And it's even more irritating since it was ESPN2 who played live French and Wimbledon coverage all the way through most of those tournaments who got forced off of the quarters and semis so they could be played by NBC, partially not live. And now ESPN2 is doing the same thing to the Tennis Channel. If you aren't going to use your live coverage rights, let the other channel do it. Good grief.

Why the hell aren't these matches live?

Just in case someone saw the TV schedule and assumed the Final is live and that they're actually playing at 3pm ET. They're not. They're playing at 1:30pm ET. ESPN2 is broadcasting on delay again. I'm glad I checked the OOP and didn't just assume the TV air time was the actual play time.

wow espn, so much for promising live finals every weekend, what a joke :retard: I can't even find it anywhere in my digital guide on ESPN, is it definitely airing at 3 eastern?

According to the ESPN site it is:

I'm editing just to mention what ESPN2 is playing live here right now instead of the Final.

Bull Riding.
