Action Jackson 07-12-2004, 09:15 AM Scoreboard seems to be playing it up. It said Zabaleta was serving first and he is serving again. johnny 07-12-2004, 09:17 AM the scoreboard is wrong then. thanxs for the help :) Action Jackson 07-12-2004, 09:18 AM 1-1 and Gaudio is serving johnny 07-12-2004, 09:21 AM is that 3 breaks of serve in a row? Action Jackson 07-12-2004, 09:22 AM 2-1 Mariano It might be, but it's not as if they don't know each other's games. Action Jackson 07-12-2004, 09:23 AM It's hard, I just can't cheer in this match at all. Action Jackson 07-12-2004, 09:24 AM 3-1 Mariano Timariot 07-12-2004, 09:28 AM C'mon Gaudio, kick the Z-man! Action Jackson 07-12-2004, 09:29 AM I would not be surprised at all, if Gaston is not as his best in this match. Action Jackson 07-12-2004, 09:30 AM 4-1 to Mariano The forehand must be on fire today. johnny 07-12-2004, 09:32 AM gaudio can hardly win a point :( Action Jackson 07-12-2004, 09:34 AM 5-1 to Zabaleta Mariano is no gimp, sometimes he lacks belief in himself and his backhand needs to be a bit better at times. johnny 07-12-2004, 09:39 AM not much of a match this :( Action Jackson 07-12-2004, 09:40 AM 6-1 Mariano Kom igjen Gaston, I know Mariano is your best friend, but make him work harder to win. Action Jackson 07-12-2004, 09:40 AM not much of a match this :( Is it over yet? johnny 07-12-2004, 09:42 AM i think so. Action Jackson 07-12-2004, 09:44 AM i think so. Then again you might have forgotten the RG final. :) johnny 07-12-2004, 09:45 AM that was when gausio needed his opponent to get injured Action Jackson 07-12-2004, 09:46 AM 1-0 Gaudio Action Jackson 07-12-2004, 09:48 AM that was when gausio needed his opponent to get injured Congratulations genius, you have reached the top of the class with that moronic statement. One, cramp is not an injury, it's a loss of physical conditioning. Two, it was brought on by nerves and anxiety to which Coria freely admitted to after the match, and that was his own fault and no one elses. Then again he won 6 other matches to get there and won 2 other 5 setters as well, conditioning it's part of the game. Cramp is not an injury. johnny 07-12-2004, 09:49 AM my scoreboard is not working very well. can someone please tell me if it is 2-0 to gaudio? Action Jackson 07-12-2004, 09:49 AM 30-0 Zabaleta johnny 07-12-2004, 09:49 AM why are you so agressive to me? Action Jackson 07-12-2004, 09:50 AM 2-1 Gaudio Action Jackson 07-12-2004, 09:52 AM why are you so agressive to me? Not at all, a statement like your previous one, deserved that kind of answer. You can ask your doctor whether cramping is an injury, and they will tell you exactly the same thing. Action Jackson 07-12-2004, 09:54 AM 3-1 Gaudio johnny 07-12-2004, 09:55 AM ok, but don't call me moronic again. I am only hear to check on the score and maybe have polite conversations with people. if I get things wrong I don't expect to get that kind of comment back. i think I will leave this forum and check on the score later. Action Jackson 07-12-2004, 09:58 AM ok, but don't call me moronic again. I am only hear to check on the score and maybe have polite conversations with people. if I get things wrong I don't expect to get that kind of comment back. i think I will leave this forum and check on the score later. Ok, that's cool and yes the moronic thing might have been harsh, but when you hear the same crap over again especially with the Gaudio victory and saying the only reason he won because his opponents were injured, is going to a get harsh rebuke. Just be prepared to back up your points that's all. Action Jackson 07-12-2004, 10:15 AM 6-4 Gaston Yes, we have a third set and make it a good one. lionel 07-12-2004, 10:16 AM Second set Gaudio 6-4 Not a good match... Action Jackson 07-12-2004, 10:18 AM lionel, when best friends play each other, it's not very often it's a good match. Action Jackson 07-12-2004, 10:22 AM 1-0 Zabaleta on serve. lionel 07-12-2004, 10:23 AM I know. Action Jackson 07-12-2004, 10:25 AM I know. You know they are on serve, or that when best friends play the quality of the match isn't always good. If you have live pictures, could you please tell me how both are playing? What's good and what's not good. Action Jackson 07-12-2004, 10:31 AM 2-1 Zabaleta Action Jackson 07-12-2004, 10:35 AM 3-1 Zabaleta Action Jackson 07-12-2004, 10:37 AM 3-2 Zabaleta, Gaudio breaks back. CmonAussie 07-12-2004, 10:42 AM @@ I want Gaudio to win~ so he can prove to the naysayers that RG was no fluke! Of course he's having a great year: nearly won Barcelona, FO, now 3rd final for 04... You never know if he keeps up the good form he may even finish this year ranked #3 after Federer^Numero Uno & Roddick 2nd probably! lionel 07-12-2004, 10:43 AM I know about the quality of the match, very poor. Zabaleta is a fighter, he runs on every balls and for Gaudio is hard to make a point; in the first set Gaudio was completely out,in the second he began to do something of different and to put the ball in with good groundstrokes and netgame. Now the match is in the hands of Zabaleta, 4-2 now. Action Jackson 07-12-2004, 10:43 AM 4-2 Mariano Action Jackson 07-12-2004, 10:45 AM I know about the quality of the match, very poor. I know Mariano always beat him in the juniors, but things have changed. Action Jackson 07-12-2004, 10:47 AM @@ I want Gaudio to win~ so he can prove to the naysayers that RG was no fluke! If any of them had a clue, they would know this match is different, and the fact that Zabaleta is very strong on clay and has beaten most of the top players on clay, he should have beaten Coria last year at RG. Facts are he has had a good year from Barcelona onwards, and it would be no disgrace if he loses here. Action Jackson 07-12-2004, 10:53 AM The breakathon continues for 4-3. Gaudio has his SLAM title & nobody can ever take it away from him  ... Realistically his opponent will never taste such a sweet victory :worship: as Gaston achieved last month! That way it's maybe better for the Argentinian mates to be generous sharing this lesser titles among themselves  ! I don't know much about Zabaleta but good on him if he takes this win :worship: ! Dirk 07-12-2004, 10:55 AM I just saw pics of Zabaleta holding the trophy from last year. Its a real nice looking piece of crystal art. I like it a lot. A very nice event to win. Zabaleta was a junior number one. If he doesn't win he is going to really regret that game point he had on his serve before getting broken. I'm not sure who I want to root for. You know he is Gaston's best friend and Mariano is going for the king of Båstad title. He is a very friendly guy and very popular in Sweden. Anything specific please ask. You are trophy lover Dirk, I never knew that. I might be slightly going for Mariano, but I don't care too much who wins the title. The party will be good though. :) Dirk 07-12-2004, 11:01 AM Would be terrible if Mariano lost his serve twice in a row. I think the trophy is just really done well. Hey George if you go to Guga's site you can take a look at his trophy cabinet inside his gym. Its great, you can rotate all of his trophies around and really study them. Guga should be given another trophy for having the best player website. Action Jackson 07-12-2004, 11:04 AM 5-4 Mariano I will check Guga's webpage after this match. I just posted a congratulations thread on GM for him. I couldn't lose today, I just hope Gaston can win in Kitzbhuel. joeb_uk 07-12-2004, 12:40 PM was it a good match? any reports? Vladimir Poutine 07-12-2004, 12:47 PM was it a good match? any reports? Still waiting on them at the moment, if I get one I will post it on the GM thread. Sommarsverige 07-12-2004, 04:41 PM Hi everyone! I saw the match and it was really great! But I don´t know what happened in the 1st set, because Gaudion played very bad there and it seemed almost for me that he was giving away points. Maybe it was just too early, I don´t know. But then in the 2nd set he played much better and the match got what you maybe think when you see the score. In the 3rd set they were almost both breaking back all the time. Gaston did not play bad in the end, but he did some more unforced errors. Anyway, it was a great match and Gaston was not too disappointed, I think. It seemed that he was very happy for Mariano! | |
