Great stuff. Hope to see him gettin' a nice draw next week.
WQR3: Philipp "2nd best slice in the world" Petzschner df Cruciat 6/4 5/7 5/7 6/2 6/3GlennMirnyi 06-19-2008, 04:41 PM Great stuff. Hope to see him gettin' a nice draw next week. KalleOnAir 06-19-2008, 04:48 PM great win :) but he was *4-1 in the third set  TMJordan 06-19-2008, 04:49 PM Hopefully he draws someone like Mugdasco which would be an easy win. Go Philipp! Grinder 06-19-2008, 05:13 PM Good stuff from Phil, he should be able to win a round or two with the right draw. osalsyst 06-19-2008, 05:37 PM Even after he lost the third set, I was confident he would win. Sure enough he started off the fourth and fifth sets with a break of serve. Great job. JMG 06-19-2008, 05:55 PM :woohoo: Now please give us a good draw. He still needs to earn about 70 points here or in Newport to qualify for the US Open. JMG 06-19-2008, 06:30 PM This thread was dedicated to you Jan. :p :worship: I know. He has indeed the 2nd best slice since 2002, when Siemerink retired. :worship: I like Petzschner but losing to two sets to Adrian Cruciat on grass is nothing to be proud of...Cruciat with his beard looks like he comes from Biblical times (as his name suggests) and he has an utmost claycourter's game. Cruciat was really good the rounds before though. I expected Slanar to have a better chance against him. But I must say Cruciat has a very solid baseline game. I saw him against Abel last year and he was in control most of the time, so I can understand why Philipp had trouble. | |
