Nottingham R1 - Alex Bogdanovic def. James Ward - 6-3, 6-4

Well done Boggo for the win and coming through qualifying has done him the world of good it seems, having previously beaten Kunitsyn and Falla quite easily, and now Ward today.

He survived throwing a break away in the second set as well after having been *4-1 up, as getting a large lead has been dangerous for him this year.

Up next is Cilic.... who will probably beat him, but at least Boggo's winning ATP matches again, and showing the kind of form that, providing a reasonable draw, could get him a win at Wimbledon (and shows he deserves the WC)

Wow, and this mug took a set off Safin last week. Now a beatdown at the hands of Bogdanovic.

Typical British week in tennis.

Queens 2007 was Alex's last ATP level win.

You know when Bogdanovic wins in straight sets, that something is wrong with tennis.

The right result really. If Boggo doesn't think too hard he might actually be able to give Cilic a good match. But I'm not holding my breath.

Brad gilbert was in the crowd urging him on.

Boggo wins one for once  But he only probably won because he was playing a fellow Brit
