A re-match against Roddick would be good. I'm really looking forward to seeing how Murray does this grasscourt season, it was disappointing how he had to miss out last year.

It's interesting that the Roddick-Murray match-up is kind of seen as one that strongly favours Murray given their respective styles of play, although their head-to-head is not as one-sided as that. Roddick of course owns Queen's, having won four times in the last five years, I think.

Andy also plays doubles here. He's associated with Daniel Vallverdu of Venezuela. They won their opening match against Richard Gasquet and Nicolas Mahut 4/6 7/5 10-4.

To tell the truth, i didn't expect them to win as both Gasquet and Mahut do well on grass while Vallverdu is unknown to me.

Nice job boys. :yeah:

They have never lost a doubles match. They used to play in the juniors together. They won 4 out of the 5 tournaments they entered and had to retire from the 5th one ;)

They obviously have some chemistry.

Bjorkman/Ullyuett defeated Murray/Vallverdu 6/4 6/4. At least Andy got the practice he missed in his first round match in singles.

Good luck, Andy, against Gulbis.

Should be an interesting match IF it happens. I'm worried about that thumb sprain - if it gets more painful overnight, as such injuries frequently do, he will have difficulty controlling the racket against such a hard hitter as Roddick.

Twice last year he played after getting injured in a match and was slaughtered in the next round - I don't want that to happen again.

I didn't know that :o as I didn't watch the match.

If that is the case, then Andy should not take any further risk. Wimbledon is at a breath's distance.

They said here few moments ago, that he will not play

Hopefully it's not serious and he'll be ready for Wimbledon.
