Wow, I just finished watching the Safin/Kiefer match and just . . . wow. It was amazing. Both players cramping but managing to hold on to a tiebreak. In the end, Kiefer's legs just gave out on him.

Safin's sportsmanship was great. When Nicolas went down at 5-4 in the tiebreak, it was Marat who went over and called for the trainer to come on court, then stood two feet away to make sure Nicolas was okay.

I just hope Safin can recover from this.

I know. What a drama! Kiwi was limping so hard I couldn't believe he kept going. Kudos to him, that was a brave fight. I was almost in tears when he collapsed in the tiebreak, and I was rooting for Marat. He kept going though. Amazing!

Manjka ji nekaj zrelosti, ampak verjamem, da bo kmalu postala boljša. Sicer pa ne spremljam veliko ženskega tenisa.

Katera je pa tvoja? Mimogrede, si moški ali ženska. :)

jrm
08-27-2002, 08:54 PM
osebno mi je najbolj všeč maja, čeprav nima moči, ki je potrtebna dandanes - odgovor na drugo vprašanje je : moški

tudi jaz rajši spremljam moške zaradi očitnega - kdo je tvoj naljubši igralcec ?

Layla
08-27-2002, 08:58 PM
Tudi meni je všeč Maja.

Imam jih veliko, ampak najbolj so mi všeč Španci, Francozi in Angleži, skratka Ferrero (daleč najljubši), Henman, Corretja, Hewitt, Rusedski, Moya, Santoro, Grosjean, Di Pasquale, ...

Its tough, Eggy. Very tough. Boutter is such a damn ****.
Sorry, he´s being smart. But its so f**king irritating to see him complain at all the calls, and take ALLLLLLL the time he can. The crowd is mad, and booing him.
He is really pissing everyone off.

Guga held his serve again. He is having less troubles now, but Boutter´s serve is still untouchable.
Boutter serves 6-3 5-6

Dissident
08-27-2002, 11:55 PM
OMG! Boutter one unforced error and a double fault on his first two serves. Then Guga plays great point to win with a great down the line forehand to go up 4-0. Then he hits the net with a fh. Still with the edge, though, 4-1. Boutter needs a great point to put it back to 2-4. Guga comes up with a great return, forcing Boutter´s error. 5-2. Error with the fh. 5-3. Perfect dropshot 6-3 :bounce: Triple set point. :D Ace from Boutter 6-4. Oh, no! Guga tries a lob, the ball goes a little bit long. 6-5. Guga serves for set now. Bad return! OH MY GOD! YEAH! Set for Guga!

Boutter is desperate on his attempt of making the match go slow. Really, this is just shitty. Go play and shut up.

Dissident
08-28-2002, 12:03 AM
WOOHOO!!! Boutter serves three double faults in the opening game (you know, its all the balls fault. they are just too bad for the great Julien  )
Guga breaks in his FIRST break point the whole match. :bounce:

Now focus on the serve, Boutter is gonna risk it all.

Dissident
08-28-2002, 12:11 AM
Guga holds and then breaks again in his second chance.
Its another match right now. Boutter lost all the confidence in his serve. His first serve %, that was already sinking, is now very bad.
This is helping Guga, since he is totally dependent of his confidence.
Guga leads 3-6 7-6 3-0 and serve. :D

Guga holds and Boutter too.
The french is having troubles with his elbow. The serves slowed down a bunch. Guga is clearly saving gas for his serving games.
If Guga holds one more time, or at the most if he wins the set, Boutter is gonna pull out, imo.
