But never one like Soderling.

Another strange match.

Strange match but you have to give some credit to Benneteau.
He played awesome from the end of the third set to the end of the match.
Well done Benneteau :worship:
I'm overall very proud of the french players in this FO: they are giving everything and playing at their potential if not above.
A certain french player who was not involved in this FO could learn a few thing from them :o

mind boggling this Soderling.

& Benneteau is the 5th French to advance, that's quite something. Congrats.

lol dark horse, he had a good run but this guy does not have the consistency and mental strenght to make a really long run in roland garros but he should have better chances for the next two slams.

Soderling should've won this match considering his form coming into this, gives Fed an easier path to the final.

I hate the word but that was a choke from Sodo in the 2nd set TB after having been impressive before.

Wonder what happened that made him that crazy with the referee at the beginning of the third ?

Anyway very solid and smart match from Benneteau and congrats to him.

Yeah he was injured. Brain cramps. I think he asked for a PTO (Psychological Time Out) somewhere during the 4th set.

I was expecting this meltdown versus Monaco, who's a much better player.

Wasn't expecting at this point though.

After Soderling lost a set to Mayer at the AO being 2 sets up, I'm used to just about anything

The Toad had this in control, then fails to serve it out and plays in the pink dress.

Another disappointing show in a GS for Toad.

Benneteau will get some good ranking points and take his straight set beating against Fed.

Once a Grand Slam midget, always a Grand Slam midget. :retard:

Pathetic meltdown, this way he will never fulfill his potential.

Against Federer, Benneteau won't even have the chance to get the crowd involved. In fact, he'd better bring some vaseline with him to the court.

I agree, but in this match, soderling is lucky, he wasn't much booed. I think the crowd wasn't that crual, if I compare with other matchs.
More supporting loudly than booing. It looked like a DC atmosphere. It was ok for me, I would have loved to be on the court suzanne lenglen today.

I turned my computer with Soderling serving for the second set. About 20 minutes later I hear Johnny Mac says Benneteau is up 2-1 in sets. I'm like "What the fuck?"

Fuck you Toad for losing this match. Benneteau has absolutely no game and you can only win 1 game in two sets. Absolutely pathetic!

I hope Fed gives this Benneteau a beatdown.

same story like the match aginst Flower power Mayer, just not in 5 sets; what a break down, but it is not surpising anymore if it happens to consistentlly, that makes teh differents between good players with amazing potential, and excellent players....
