Will Almagro be in top 5 this year?

Outfielder

Excelent serve, very strong FH and BH.
Almagro is one of the most talented players on the tour. Lastly look like mentaly strong, and ready for top tests.

Will he be in top 5 this year?

I think yes, and little bit more, but his arm injury could be a problem.

Wow another bandwagon thread.

At least 70 percent threads starting - 'Will he, If he was...'

Becomes prediction crystal ball forum.

If he somehow wins every clay event he plays after RG, then wins the odd match on other surfaces in the big events.

No.

:haha: What a thread!

No way in hell he makes top 5, although top 10 is certainly within his capabilities...not like the threshold is all that high.

Satellite face is top 6 material at best.

I think he will get into the top 10 almost definitely.
Top 5 - almost definitely not, unless he improves on other surfaces than clay.
The top 5 or 6 in the world just have too many points for him to catch.

Tho I must agreed with this, for this year.
If he beat Chardy he`ll be 12th.

Anyway, his time is coming.

You know what top5 means? That's right behind Fed, Rafa, Djoke and Kolya.

NO, maybe in three years time.

I don't think so. His favorite part of the year is almost over and he's not even in the top 10. He needs to have some crazy hard court results to boost him up into the upper reaches of the rankings.

the big clay tournies are running out at this time of year.

so no way he can get to the top 5 :haha: :haha:

thats right. he has won 28 matches on clay this year and the end is near. Nadal will send him home soon.

there is Stuttgart (clay) after Wimby but Nadal will be there to defend his title. I dont see how he can be top 5 from #20 right now.

Funny how people frown on these normal threads, if anything had to do with some nerds on this forum then their would only be abit 10-15 threads in the last 5 years.

Only if his hard court, grass and indoor results are as good as clay court. ;)

danielmom
06-01-2008, 02:49 PM
No. To be in the top 5 he will have to improve his hard court and indoor game a whole lot and I'm not sure he can.

fran70
06-01-2008, 04:44 PM
He is still a quite unstable player but with steady progresses year after year. I think that in 2009 he may reach the top 10 if he can improve his performance on hard courts aswell.

If they change Wimbledon and USO into clay courts he has a good chance.
