No problem ever thereafter, of course. 2 down, 5 to go... :D rafa_maniac 05-29-2008, 03:40 PM Rafito! :D "Two for the price of one" day at the bakery? That penultimate game wasa disgrace. justClaudia 05-29-2008, 03:47 PM Man, that was hard wasn't it :ignore: RogiRafaFan86 05-29-2008, 03:47 PM Very nice of Rafa to throw the old dog a bone in that last set. Especially because he came back from 40-0 down to break for the second set, and he came back from 0-40 to hold serve in the 3rd. It was the least he could do after toying with the poor man like that. Even though he ran away with the last 2 sets, it was good match practice for him. There were some long rallies in there, which Rafa loves. Nice to see Devilder smiling and laughing after he finally won a game in the 3rd. That's much better than the alternative. Overall, very good performance from Rafa. Great to see. :) FedFan_2007 05-29-2008, 04:23 PM Another good display from Nadal.......this kind of performance shows why he is the King of Clay. :retard: what can I say about Rafatards... :worship: Sunset of Age 05-29-2008, 05:08 PM :retard: what can I say about Rafatards... :worship: And what the HELL is wrong with Jonny84's statement? I hope he's just doing what needs to be done...because, so far, he is playing WAY too meekly. He needs to TAKE it to these guys. Interesting to note: Rafa is playing his third straight lefty. And if Verdasco wins...it could be four lefties in a row!! Voo...what's the record for most lefties played in a row in a slam? Clay Death 05-29-2008, 08:46 PM Awful and passive first set from Rafa. I hope he's just doing what needs to be done...because, so far, he is playing WAY too meekly. He needs to TAKE it to these guys. Interesting to note: Rafa is playing his third straight lefty. And if Verdasco wins...it could be four lefties in a row!! Voo...what's the record for most lefties played in a row in a slam? he has a superb record against lefties. that first set against a qualifier in the previous round was useless as well. the brazilian had something like 25 uuforced errors. he should have won 6-0. i guess part of the was the weather (clod and windy). part of it is that he is still not where he needs to be form wise. with these rain delays, he is not getting any continuity with match play and practice. he needs his timing more than anybody because of massive topsin which requires equally massive backswings. opeth84 05-30-2008, 12:00 AM Well done to Nadal getting the job done pretty quickly even after the rain delay. A good effort from Devilder in the first but he was never going to be able to keep that up. He was jumping to hit backhands and forehands in most rallys. dan_the_man1983 05-30-2008, 02:49 AM King of clay rules on. :worship: Who is next? Rafa = Fed Killa 05-30-2008, 03:46 AM God of Clay :worship: RonE 05-30-2008, 03:46 AM You gotta love clay moonballing...   Indeed :inlove: Nadal_Fanatic 05-30-2008, 06:31 AM Nadal was running him all over the place. Moonballing with pace and spin is 10x better moonballing than lob moonballing without pace and spin. Knightmace 05-30-2008, 06:45 AM Awesome. | |
