GGL had some chances to win the first set, but after Dima took it Guillermo rarely had a chance to win a game. Nalbandian or Chardy next for him.

Ouch, double-bagelled by Tursunov on clay. Doesn't get worse than that.

GGL desperately wants that Mug Of The Month prize.

If Tursunov wins a couple more rounds, people will believe he can win the whole thing!

What happened to GGL after the 1st set?

Guillermo had a similar result not long ago. Unless it's something physical, which I doubt, he really needs to get his head in place.

good effort by GGL in the first set

Horatio Caine

:haha: Surprising really that Tursunov is able to pull off two successive bagels, without even considering the surface...I mean, he is capable of throwing in the odd crappy game at the flick of a switch.

R3 with Chardy then, and if he were to win that, the chance to engage Mucho in a delightful "macho ball-bashing contest" maybe. :spit:

im totaly shocked at the ease of this win, i was at nottingham last year to watch these 2 against each other in the qtr finals and that went to 3 sets on grass, so i thought GGL may come through this one.

well done tursanov.

Oh and whoever said yesterday that Tursunov is clean-shaven...a 35-year old Tursunov was on display today. :help:

GGL obviously could not keep up with the match on a tactical level.

Great win for Dima. I was very surprised by the score in the final two sets. I hope he continues to play consistently in the next round.

Ouch, double-bagelled by Tursunov on clay. Doesn't get worse than that.

you're probably right about that :tape:

but congrats anyway to tursunov, i guess he has already surpassed his own expectations by reaching the 3rd round.

Never in doubt. Check GGL's 2nd round result in 2007: lost to Polaco Brzezicki 7/6 6/2 6/0. He can't seem to get over lost TBs. ;)
