That's almost unreal. Ivo, Ivo...

Very surprising, you'd have thought his serve might have got him through a few.

It's becoming almost like tradition for Ivo to lose 1st round of the summer slams in 5 sets. That's three in a row at Wimby and now here at RG too.

You can almost understand why Croatia feels no urge to convince Ivo to play Davis Cup.

It's almost impossible to serve at a high level all the time in a 5 setters especially towards the end.

It's not surprising. If you want to win 5th set, you have to break. He can't break my grandma.

Not at every slam ;)
And he can break, he proves that in the normal tournaments, and also today against Ancic. Don't know what GSs do to his mind, same holds for Soderling.

The Santoro match was the worst loss of all of them. Ivo did not face a single bp until 4-5 in the fifth :o

That doesn't explain his quite astounding loss to Falla at RG last year, when he led 3-1 in the fifth with a break point for a 4-1 double break lead, having not been broken in the entire match, and went on to lose serve twice in his next three service games to lose the match. That must surely be the worst loss, croat, not the one to Santoro.

What are you talking about? Ivo can break, but it's not the problem, his head is. Against Falla, if I'm not wrong, he had a break lead in the 5th but then lost serve 2 times and lost...

Blake deserved this stat more than Ivo, guy is still a shit 5 set player, but happened to beat players like Santoro, and PHM, which says it all.

A little consolation for Ivo -> he has won the most final tie-break sets (all levels) and will be very tough to overcome in the future. From all active players only Isner has some potential to do it :wavey:

Andreev has tripled his 5-set wins tally in the space of two rounds here, pretty impressive work from him.

Has he lost the most as well, or is that record held by a completely different player who isn't even a huge server?

That was joke about grandma.:p
His serve (and every player's serve) is dropping in 5th, that's the problem.

Probably Karlovic's arm gets numb after playing 4 sets :p

You're right Felipe, Chile must take note of those small but important details, anyway we must take 2 sets from Karlovic on a match first, in order to use and have a chance to take advantage of those details.
