Ginepri wins the battle of the Americans. He's playing very well this year. That Moya match halted his momentum a bit but he's definitely on the comeback trail.

Smoke944 05-28-2008, 03:36 PM Well done Robby  martinatreue 05-28-2008, 03:47 PM  Dayum. Robby is such a hot piece of meat. He is soooo fine! Glad he beat bratty overhyped Donald Young. buh-bye idolwatcher1 05-28-2008, 03:47 PM Ginepri wins the battle of the Americans. He's playing very well this year. That Moya match halted his momentum a bit but he's definitely on the comeback trail. Robby acquired a bicep injury during his match against Moya in the 2nd set, but he was leading before that... He subsequently had to pull out of Miami as a result of that. Bless his heart, after leading Deigo Hartfield (ARG) last year at Roland Garros, he was the only American left in the men's singles draw on the 2nd day of his match... however, after 5 sets, he lost the match after having a two-sets-to-one lead (after being informed that he was the only American man left in the draw- no pressure). Finally, he wins his first Roland Garros match!! :sobbing:  Congrats Robby!! :worship: ;) Fumus 05-28-2008, 03:48 PM Robby for RG! Robby is king. If that happens, there should be worldwide public holiday and free to air coverage so everyone can witness the clash of the clay gods. GlennMirnyi 05-28-2008, 11:17 PM Just the first win in his way to the title. Deivid23 05-29-2008, 04:21 AM Too soft and too green in tight moments, Young made 5 ues in the 3rd set tiebreak, all of them in easy balls and yes Ginepri is still a clown on clay idolwatcher1 05-29-2008, 05:34 AM Ginepri is still a clown on clay Anyone can say that... If you saw the match, go ahead and describe what you saw... :p I saw him play a match on clay this year, and he started off playing really well on it. But I do feel that he struggles greatly to keep a certain rhythm going throughout his matches... so there will be times when he works a point brilliantly, times when he keeps his "patience", and other times where it just looks like he wants to shorten the point at whatever cost. There's just no telling... :ras: Looks like his bicep is taped again... http://img225.imageshack.us/img225/3656/b048ginepri05282sa4.jpg | |
