:yeah: Probably the biggest clay win for Mardy.
Calleri is completely useless in Grand Slams.

Hilarious loss and Calleri showing his great GS form.

ome things in life are bad
They can really make you mad
Other things just make you swear and curse.
When you're chewing on life's gristle
Don't grumble, give a whistle
And this'll help things turn out for the best...

And...always look on the bright side of life...
Always look on the light side of life...

If life seems jolly rotten
There's something you've forgotten
And that's to laugh and smile and dance and sing.
When you're feeling in the dumps
Don't be silly chumps
Just purse your lips and whistle - that's the thing.

And...always look on the bright side of life...
Always look on the light side of life...

For life is quite absurd
And death's the final word
You must always face the curtain with a bow.
Forget about your sin - give the audience a grin
Enjoy it - it's your last chance anyhow.

So always look on the bright side of death
Just before you draw your terminal breath

Life's a piece of shit
When you look at it
Life's a laugh and death's a joke, it's true.
You'll see it's all a show
Keep 'em laughing as you go
Just remember that the last laugh is on you.

And always look on the bright side of life...
Always look on the right side of life...
(Come on guys, cheer up!)
Always look on the bright side of life...
Always look on the bright side of life...
(Worse things happen at sea, you know.)
Always look on the bright side of life...
(I mean - what have you got to lose?)
(You know, you come from nothing - you're going back to nothing.
What have you lost? Nothing!)
Always look on the right side of life...

Funniest thing ever.

The American are faring much better than last year save for Isner. I'm proud.

Well done Mardy!

Americans keep getting better and better in european clay :worship:
first Sam in MC, then Andy and blake in rome
Ginepri in Poerstrasch
and now Odesnik and even Fish got a win in RG :worship:
going on this rate, I predict the americans will dominate the clay season next year :yeah:

I did mock alot of the players that won today but, this is a great win for Fish. Let's be honest honest though, did we think that Calleri was really gonna like the wind with his type of game?

Calleri is an unbelievably large waste of talent.

I've never seen a guy lose so many matches he should win easily.

The Spanish DC team is trembling. The US is suddenly packed with clay guns to choose from.

It's possible that there are more US Americans than Argentinians in the 2nd round??:eek: I think something smells fishy here...

PD: My mistake, there are still more argentinians in 2nd round.

Calleri is the very epitome of a Grand Slam Gimp

This loss isn't something extraordinary

I saw Calleri in Casablanca and really he's not been playing that poorly for ages

He was constantly late at the ball, like he was crawling on the surface, shot selection was (beyond discussion)

You would have probably said it's a challenger/futures player playing if you haven't known the name of this player

Fish just took advantage of Calleri's very poor form

Interesting situation with Calleri from my perspective. I wrote here once that I've got criteria to create the statistical tributes (when Tangerine Dream questioned me why I hadn't done a tribute for Gimelstob). A player must at least:
- to win one ATP tournament
- to win 100 matches
- to be in Top 50
- to be in 4th round of a Grand Slam event

I've done one exception for Pim-Pim who didn't win 100 matches because he retired prematurely. Calleri hasn't been in the last 16 of a Grand Slam event, so actually he doesn't deserve for a special treatment :)

I'd say that's fair. Your list of interesting matches for Calleri would probably all be losses anyway. :D
