This is Hewitt's first match on clay this year. This is a very convincing scoreline for someone who has made a comeback from injury. Good luck Hewitt.

CmonAussie 05-28-2008, 11:28 AM ... yeah impressive from Rocky Llegs!!! ~~ Lleyton`s next match will likely be much tougher<> Acacuso... then if he survives that he`ll surely lose to Ferrer in Rd.3 anyway this match practice is good because he needs to get back into the groove for Queens & the big one @ WIMBY groundstroke 05-28-2008, 11:31 AM It's surprising to see Hewitt win at all, I'm surprised he hasn't retired, when was the last time he won a title or even reached a final? aussie_fan 05-28-2008, 11:32 AM good result for lleyton, interesting how much further he will be able to do here BaggyGreen92 05-28-2008, 11:34 AM It's surprising to see Hewitt win at all, I'm surprised he hasn't retired, when was the last time he won a title or even reached a final? 5 March 2007 Las Vegas, USA Hewitt has won at least a title for 10 years in a row. However, I feel as though this year is Hewitt isn't gonna continue that streak. CmonAussie 05-28-2008, 11:34 AM It's surprising to see Hewitt win at all, I'm surprised he hasn't retired, when was the last time he won a title or even reached a final? ...Hewitt actually played pretty well in 2007: Won Las Vegas [last title was 14 months ago] SF Hamburg TMS [lost close one to Nadal] SF Cincinatti TMS [lost close one to Federer] QF Canada TMS [lost to Federer] Rd.4 FO [lost to Nadal] Rd.4 WIMBY [lost close one to Djokovic] MusicMyst 05-28-2008, 11:35 AM From what I could see in the little streaming video window, he played well and didn't seem to be hampered by the bad hip. Good luck in the next round, Lleyton! scarecrows 05-28-2008, 11:36 AM he beat the worst clay courter of the top 50, someone who has now a 0-7 record at RG probably another clay clown for him next, Mardy Fish scarecrows 05-28-2008, 11:36 AM ... Lleyton`s next match will likely be much tougher<> Acacuso... then if he survives that he`ll surely lose to Ferrer in Rd.3 come on, cant believe you havent checked the draw of your favourite player :p tennisfan444 05-28-2008, 11:37 AM :worship::yippee::banana::bigclap::clap2: MusicMyst 05-28-2008, 11:37 AM It's surprising to see Hewitt win at all, I'm surprised he hasn't retired, when was the last time he won a title or even reached a final? You're right, every player who doesn't win a title or reach a final in the last year should retire. Well, that should certainly help scheduling at slams. CmonAussie 05-28-2008, 11:41 AM come on, cant believe you havent checked the draw of your favourite player :p oops my bad:eek: ... yeah i often get Acacuso & Calleri mixed up:devil: ~~either way it`ll be much tougher than Mahut:sad: & Rd.3 with Ferrer he`ll surely lose krystlel 05-28-2008, 11:47 AM  It looks like it will probably be Fish up next. BaggyGreen92 05-28-2008, 11:49 AM interesting matchup. Fish has beaten Hewitt in their last encounter. CmonAussie 05-28-2008, 11:52 AM ... of course Hewitt will be happier playing Fish [rather than Calleri] in Rd.2~~ that would indeed be a fortunate draw for Rocky Llegs.. *@@*.Cmon Mardy! CmonAussie 05-28-2008, 11:56 AM interesting matchup. Fish has beaten Hewitt in their last encounter. ... Hewitt should crush Fish [esp on clay] if he plays @ 70% of his game;) the loss Llegs suffered @ Indian Wells <> Fish was playing the best tennis of his life & Hewitt was badly injured with the hip! Bernard Black 05-28-2008, 11:56 AM C'mon Hewitt! Good performance, but was hardly ever in doubt against Mahut really. Auscon 05-28-2008, 12:58 PM Great win Lleyton, should be able to take out Mardy on the clay StevoTG 05-28-2008, 03:07 PM Hewitt moved well during the points, I did think that I saw a few limps in between points though. Anyhow, he couldn't ask for a better workout than a straight sets win. Well done Rusty:) Acer 05-28-2008, 07:16 PM Aww. Bravo Hewitt! HeretiC 05-29-2008, 12:14 AM Good win, he didn't play that bad as I expected after such a big pause (plus with an injury). Merton 05-29-2008, 12:17 AM Mahut and Fish, ideal draw from somebody coming back from injury. bad gambler 05-29-2008, 01:07 AM Good win from the part timer RogerFan82 05-29-2008, 04:09 AM Well done Rusty!!! | |
