RG R1: Bolelli d. Baghdatis 6/2 6/4 6/2scarecrows 05-26-2008, 11:23 AM Del Potro next for him Alonsofz 05-26-2008, 11:24 AM Really expected, but Baggy  Andre♥ 05-26-2008, 11:24 AM See you in my town, Baghdatis! Your ass is going to be kicked by some Portuguese foot on clay! KitinovRules 05-26-2008, 11:26 AM Never in doubt Jaap 05-26-2008, 11:29 AM Expected one. Action Jackson 05-26-2008, 11:30 AM Huge upset. Uraitan 05-26-2008, 11:31 AM Bagh :sad::sad::o Truc 05-26-2008, 11:31 AM Baghdatis wasn't looking completely fit, I wasn't watching all the time, but I saw him call the trainer (for his back?). Bilbo 05-26-2008, 11:41 AM expected one VolandriFan 05-26-2008, 11:43 AM This was a predictable result, no doubt. Baghdatis showed a little resistance, but that's about it. Well played by Simone. :yeah: Cat123 05-26-2008, 11:44 AM Oh, Marcos :awww: I want you back!!!! sphiie 05-26-2008, 11:47 AM Oh noo he really lost! I didn't expected to see him lost with this poor score... he hasn't enough preparation on clay, that's why he lost (I suppose). I wish that he will worked enough on grass and go further (in Wimbledon)! Mr Brightside 05-26-2008, 11:49 AM Simone:woohoo: Adler 05-26-2008, 12:05 PM N. I. D. DeuX.cl 05-26-2008, 12:10 PM kind of expected result. stebs 05-26-2008, 12:23 PM Baghdatis is poor on clay and is just back from injury. An expected result in all honesty. Good that he is back playing tennis and the main thing is remain fit, try and keep motivated and if he can do that the results will follow. As for Bolelli; still good to get the win and he has a very good draw here. A realistic shot at winning two or three more matches and really raising his ranking. baghdatis 05-26-2008, 12:23 PM Expected. :o First two sets there was some hope, But bags never took his chances. To many errors. I just hope now he can prepare to defend all of his Grasscourt points (which I expect him to do) octatennis 05-26-2008, 12:27 PM expected one.. for the simple reason that bagho is not so good on clay and is coming back from an injury... c'mon baghdatis in wimbledon.!!! raven gypsy 05-26-2008, 12:32 PM Good on Bolelli. Baghy.. work your way back onto the tour... :) Manon 05-26-2008, 12:33 PM Baghdatis wasn't looking completely fit, I wasn't watching all the time, but I saw him call the trainer (for his back?). He isn't fit at all. Better not to come in RG. He was away from courts to long. osalsyst 05-26-2008, 12:35 PM Completely expected. Good job Bolelli. Voo de Mar 05-26-2008, 12:41 PM Bolelli :yeah: Future Top 20 player. tennisfan444 05-26-2008, 02:14 PM expected but still sad for him. Bolelli is coming along nicely yet another talent to watch VolandriFan 05-26-2008, 02:18 PM Simone has been one of the most impressive youngsters this clay season and he's nicely affirming the faith I have/had in him. HeretiC 05-26-2008, 02:27 PM Unfit Baggy against on form SuperBol who has great clay season, I doubt that anyone expected different outcome. rhinooooo 05-26-2008, 02:42 PM Expected to anyone that knows their tennis. Obviously these guys don't: French Open: Baghdatis beaten by little-known Bolelli http://www.guardian.co.uk/sport/2008/may/26/baghdatis.out.of.french.open "Marcos Baghdatis suffered a surprise defeat in the first round of the French Open, losing in three sets to Simone Bolelli of Italy, 6-2, 6-4, 6-2." How much work would it have been for the journo to just check the bookies odds before the match? Beat 05-26-2008, 04:43 PM  GlennMirnyi 05-26-2008, 05:22 PM Great stuff Superbol. This is bad yeah, but almost as bad was the commentator here in Holland saying Rafa was playing the completely unknown Bellucci  These guys have tennis for a living and they don't know Bellucci?! But good win by Bolelli. I saw of the match and he was firing all over the place again. Such big shots all the time. Kinda like Blake but Bolelli is willing to slice sometimes, Blake never slices. I think Bolelli has opponents that fit his game, I wouldn't want to see him playing a very solid guy like Monaco, Robredo, Ferrer etc. TankingTheSet 05-26-2008, 10:03 PM This is bad yeah, but almost as bad was the commentator here in Holland saying Rafa was playing the completely unknown Bellucci  These guys have tennis for a living and they don't know Bellucci?! For most of these commentators tennis ends at the ATP tournament level. What's actually worse is when they make comments such as "he has barely played any matches in the last few years", "he has very little match experience" and start wondering whether the player has been injured when they are faced with a player who plays challengers year-round. It's still better than some commentators here saying that Kuerten has been playing with protected ranking and that he won't win a title in the near future with such display as with PHM. When they saw the farewell ceremony they were  Mishka Logvi 05-27-2008, 07:16 AM Baghdatis is very bad for this time and I think he don't defend his points on Wimbledon..... For Bolelli i think Del Potro defeat him, if he don't have injury KitinovRules 05-27-2008, 07:18 AM Baghdatis off form, and very , very tough opponent this Bolleli. Maybe the toughest non seed. I saw some parts of the match, and I am really amazed of the skills and shots Simone has. Tennis-Engineer 05-27-2008, 07:26 AM Bolelli played lovely tennis. Now Del Potro is a serious test for him. sammy01 05-27-2008, 09:05 PM the hot guy won, so im happy good luck in the 2nd round bolelli!!!!!!!
