13th career title.

I wouldn't count that. Top players usually don't play such a small tournament.

Imagine Faderer and Nadal, even Novak! Embarrasing. Federer would have 300 titles.

Monaco played really BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAD. With such form I can't see him inthe 2nd week of RG. Millions of unforced errors. In the second set Kolya was feeling unfomfortable with his thigh, I hope this is nothing serious, but really upped his game in 3rd. One of the worst finals of the year for sure, they should give back the money for the tickets.

Monaco played really BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAD. In the second set Kolya was feeling unfomfortable with his thigh,
woludnt say uncomfortable he was making faces like hes in real payn and was barley moving..and after a MTO he was fresh and injuryfree...and it was a simple massage...weird stuff i wolud say

A win is a win.

I know. 13th as it is but much important is his tennis these days. It's no Davy from 2006 for example.

And again - the best sigh on MTF.

Congrats Koyla although he was lucky that Monaco had a mental lapse in the third set... Otherwise this could have turned out differently. Glad his thigh problem doesnt seem to be serious, too.

And yeah, about the small tournament comment... Estoril <-> Federer only title this year... hhhhhhhhmmmmmmmmmm.................

Yes, he played much better in the 3rd after barely moving in 2nd. But I wouldn't call it suspicious - I saw such situations already when Davydenko wasn't even involved. I guess that the adrenaline just worked in the tight situation, maybesome painkillers did the job... It didn't look like a fix, Davydenko just couldn't lose to Monaco, Pico was playing like a Top200 player

6 (Estoril):o Read Albop - I wouldn't...

See Fed's stats on ATP and his countable tornaments.

Good win for Nicolay - although I did think that Juan would win this.

yep thats maybe the reason....but still think thers something more.....davydenko or any other player... adrenalin sholud be very high to stop the pain in your jumping leg..

yes monaco is awful..agree

PMK takes revenge on the man who stopped his Pörtschach streak and he wins the title for the 3rd time.

Works out well as the TD gets a cut of Davydenko's prizemoney as he is his agent.

Good practice for RG for both of them. Nice to see collective genius on GM is still high.

So probably an acting job in the second set instead of an injury. Good news going into the French where he is a clear favorite to reach the semi's again.

So it sounds like Pico still hasn't found his form on clay this year. Sigh...he has just not been the same since Chile. He could very easily lose to Robin in the first round at this rate.

Monaco will sure have HUGE problems against Söderling if he plays like this in RG. Davy didnt play great either and I´m not sure at all whether he will reach into SF again. Granted, Ferrer is not that good lately and Ferrero is question mark - Davys quarter is real nightmare for gamblers.

:awww: i don't think Pico will beat Soderling, unfortunately can't see it happening

congrats to Nikolay on another title.

Pico made lots of unforced mistakes. He has been playing below his level since that injury in Chile. He will need to play on a higher level. Otherwise Soderling will put him aside of RG in the first round.

Revenge for Davydenko for last year, both players got to play some matches here so it is good for RG.
