Any live online Roland Garros Coverage?

CyBorg

There's probably a thread on this, but I'm not too keen on digging through all of this.

Is there a subscription service this year to watch live men's matches at Roland Garros? Of course, in Canada I don't have access to Eurosport.

Any ideas appreciated.

You will get coverage of RG on TSN if you live in Canada - it starts with a preview on Sunday and then most of the coverage starts at 9:00 am. I am not sure which part you live in but I watch the matches also on www.bet365.com - great online coverage.

CyBorg
05-23-2008, 06:41 PM
TSN is crap of course. bet365 - does this have coverage of different courts? I'm looking for something as comprehensive as that. ESPN360 just plain doesn't work. I haven't tried pr*xies for the other two US services. Can anyone confirm that this is doable?

Don't know if there's any "special" subscription, but for german viewers it's the same as for every other Slam (apart from Wimbledon of course). There's no special fee for that event, you simply subscribe to the "Eurosport Player" and get access to the 5 (out of 7 Show Courts in total) live streams and the match archive. For Germany it's 4,90 € per month. You can cancel right away after the tourney is over, so you'll only pay for one month.

My Eurosport player isn't working at all - I get "this video is not available" on all channels and they still haven't replied to my email from Friday :(

any developments with this?

is the german one just for german residents or can anyone use it? It seems to be getting the best press here and I don't mind not understanding the commentary.

I'm having no luck with the US pr.oxies. I can't get a single page to load and I've tried a few different ones. I mean ANY page.

4th time lucky. I'm in the Tennis Channel. Can't find any live coverage though, just replays. SOmeone point me in the right direction if I'm just being stupid.

Thanks to HeretiC for all the info.

Yes I got mine working in the end. Some issues I had with ***** settings in my browser and media player. Eurosport were no help at all, I had to figure it out myself.

I believe the German one has been working all along.

The Eurosport streams don't have any commentary anyways.

---------

French Television "France Télévisions" is streaming all 7 TV courts on http://www.francetvod.fr/site-vod/roland-garros-2008/

You need a french prox_y of course.

Maybe someone from France could tell us if those streams are free and if they are in 16:9? Thanks.

Does anyone know why ESPN360.com isn't showing any French Open for Monday?

It's worrying that on the TTC website, they have advertised on their home page Federer-Querrey, but have the Chatrier matches listed instead. On the other hand, they have also listed Nadal on there. Personally I much prefer Chatrier court (but both is the best). Which one are they showing?

I would like them to stay with broadcasting the biggest four courts everyday, because I like things to be predictable.

Shoot, they have switched the schedule and they are showing Lenglen matches.
