He has lost 9 sets in a row...

Cant get a win from nowhere?

Personal problems?

No signs of fight at all these days.

Last year he was one of my faves player to watch, unreal fight and excellent depth in his groundstrokes.

Drugs ran out, I guess.

He came out strong of that "holiday" he was awarded, but I guess at his age this should be the results he should be getting anyways. That style of play does not work well when you're over thirty, your knees become too vulnerable.

He's become a 'older' player by now, and his counter-punching playing style is so much draining on the bod that it can't be much of a surprise that he isn't doing as well as last year right now...

I haven't seen his matches this year, but can you categorically say that he isn't fighting? I mean, that goes against his character.

I'm not the best to comment, for the above reason, but I'd probably put it down to his spark fading out...i.e. he has become a little past it.

He is still fighting. Exactly as you said. He lost the spark. Ever since the middle of last year. He was burnt out after some awesome performances and alot of tennis. He basically played 7-8 months straight until the Barcelona final last year, and he was playing high-quality tennis, which with his style can be very gruelling.

He's hardly past it in the spell of a few months.

It all started when he lost to Querry in vegas, since then, nothing.

I hope he can find his level again.

Oh why don't you just leave the guy alone

He hasn't lost his fighting spirit (nor his fans :p )

Totally agree with you on this...his style of play demands too much of his body. He was full of energy last year, but right now he has a lot of matches played lately.

after 15 months of not playing competitively he played 98 matches from Sept 06 to Aug 07. probably burnt himself out.
