Can anyone tell me sth about the rules/ format this event?
It's league or League/Play-Offs or classic play-offs competition ?
I heard about Bundesliga, but it's first time when i'm seriously keen on this event ;)

It's interesting how many teams are from the same area (Nordrhein-Westfalen, the industrialized Ruhr area). There really aren't many good medium-ranked clay courters who are not playing Bundesliga, so it must pay very well.

lol Etuf Essen, I played against the 1st team of that club in 2004 when they were in 2nd verbundsliga. It seems like they kept winning!
Number 1 was Rainer Paschen, and number 2 was Lars Kozloski (?), I lost with Paschen 61 76 :(

I wonder how you have to see this Bundesliga. Lots of players who aren't german play for a German team. Is it something like with soccer, that players play for another club? And can you go to a club and see those matches or not? Is it between the tennis events that they play for those clubs?
I have been wondering this for a while, and still don't really understand in what perspective I have to see this :)
I'd really like to see Montanes play a match, but can you just go to Dusseldorf on a day that they play there?

I'm not an expert on Bundesliga, but many professional tennis players don't make that much money. The Bundesliga teams have rich sponsors and pay very well. The players are playing for the money. The attendance figures posted on the website are pretty good too (better than most low-level tournaments or even some ATP tournaments). There's only one (sometime two) day of play scheduled per week so most players can fit it into their schedule, and they can skip Bundesliga if it doesn't fit (the teams have a pretty big team, not every team member plays every week).
Even in smaller countries like the Netherlands and other European countries there are "club leagues", often condensed into a short period. They pay much less than Bundesliga, but still enough for lower ranked players (100-500) to try to earn some extra money.
