She's just lost to Mauresmo 6-7, 6-7 in Brisbane 1st round.

But I am pleasantly surprised with the way she played. Her groundies were insanely good. She hit the ball so cleanly, but her fear from the net was there, as always. She dictated play most of the time and made some incredible winners.
I didn't expect this match to be so competitive, TBH, but I was very sad when she lost because she had so many chances and just couldn't convert. She missed at least 5 set points in the 1st.

I just hope she's going to stay positive and results will come.

Oh, and her 2nd serve :help:

Stats say it all.

Jelena Dokic’s father detained in Serbia
4 hours, 52 minutes ago

BELGRADE, Serbia (AP)—The father of tennis player Jelena Dokic was detained in Serbia for allegedly threatening the Australian ambassador in Belgrade, police said Wednesday.

Damir Dokic was detained in his home in northern Serbia, said Interior Minister Ivica Dacic. He added that police searched Dokic’s house in the mountain region of Fruska Gora.

Serbian daily Blic on Wednesday quoted Damir Dokic as saying he had called the embassy and threatened to “fire a rocket” on the car of the Australian ambassador to Serbia.

Dacic said police have an obligation to respond to any threats to foreign diplomats. He said Damir Dokic will be questioned by an investigative judge.

Dokic told Blic that he was angry over an interview his daughter gave to Australia’s Sport&Style magazine in which she accused him of beating her. The 26-year-old Dokic, who is estranged from her father, told how she fled from her family in 2002 to escape the abuse.

Blic quoted him as saying that Jelena’s testimony was a “continuation of an attack on me, with a clear idea to kill me.”

But he added that “there is no child that was not beaten by parents—the same with Jelena.”

Dokic, born in the former Yugoslavia, migrated to Sydney with her family as a child and represented Australia at the 2000 Olympics. She renounced her Australian ties in 2001 to move back to Serbia, then decided to begin competing for Australia again in 2006.

Dokic has won five WTA Tour titles and reached a career-high ranking of fourth in 2002. After struggling with her form and injuries over the years, Dokic reached the quarterfinals of the Australian Open in January. She is ranked 74th.

Revealed: Damir's weapons stash

by Selma Milovanovic

Serbian police uncovered a massive stash of weapons - including illegal bombs - when they searched the house of tennis dad Damir Dokic after his arrest over threats against the Australian ambassador in Belgrade.

In a statement, Sremska Mitrovica police said they had found seven hunting rifles and Beretta pistols, for which Dokic had a permit, as well as two illegal bombs and 20 bullets.

Details of the weapons haul comes amid revelations of chilling comments Dokic, the father of tennis star Jelena, made in a recent interview with Serbian state-owned television RTS.

In the interview Dokic, whose daughter said this week that her father regularly beat her during tennis tournaments, said talented children should never be "left alone".

"A child, if they show that they are talented in something, should never be left alone. They should always be forced, I think even pushed into it," he said.

Asked by an RTS talk show host how far the children should be pushed, he replied: "There are no limits."

The infamous Serbian, who is estranged from his daughter, said he "looked after every tournament and every match".

"If you don't go through, someone else will. There is only one chance in life. And let me tell you - again, my own case - when you miss that chance, you see what happens to you."

The arrest is the latest in a series of high-profile incidents for the explosive Dokic, who has been thrown out of official tennis events many times over the past decade for abusive and drunken behaviour.

He has been charged with threatening to harm the personal safety of Australia's ambassador to Serbia, Clare Bergin, and possession of illegal firearms and explosives.

He will be brought before a magistrate in the town of Ruma.

Interior Minister Ivica Dacic said he would not speculate on media reports or say whether the arrested man "was planning to carry out his threats" but said police had a duty to ensure the safety of foreign diplomats.

"I have a weapons arsenal in my house," Dokic had reportedly told daily tabloid Blic.

" I don't have a 'wasp' (slang for rocket launcher) but making it is the smallest problem."

"If I clicked my fingers, many would leave a 'wasp' in front of my gate. I expect that after this threat of mine, our police will come, arrest me and seize the weapons. But that will only enlarge the threat to the ambassador."

Newspaper Press cited sources close to the investigation as saying that Dokic had waited for police to arrive at his million-dollar hilltop property at Vrdnik.

"He told police he was expecting to be arrested," the unnamed source was quoted as saying. "He confirmed he had a real arsenal of weapons at his house, which he showed police. He told them he was furious at the Australians, who had ruined his family."

Before his arrest, Dokic had told Serbian media that, for years, he had been hunted by Australians "like a wild animal" and that someone had to answer for such treatment.

"That's why I called the Australian embassy in Belgrade and told them that I would attack the ambassador with a 'wasp' [rocket launcher] unless they find and punish the man who invented the interview with my daughter."

A furious Dokic told Serbian media he was a Balkans war veteran experienced in handling weapons.

"I have a real weapons arsenal. I will kill the ambassador right there, with a wasp in Central Belgrade," he had allegedly said.

Dokic said that, after hearing of his daughter's claims - published exclusively by Fairfax - that he used to beat her during tennis tournaments, he felt sick and immediately phoned his son Savo.

Savo reportedly explained that Jelena had told him that, while she had told the Australian reporter Damir had assaulted her, her statements were "taken out of context".

"But what is that worth now when the whole world knows that I allegedly assaulted her?" Dokic asked. "The Australian ambassador should urgently investigate and stop the barrage against me. I'm here in Vdrnik, I'm waiting for them to come and get me."

A start: Damir Dokic will spend 30 days in jail while an investigation is carried out into his threats against the Australian ambassador in Belgrade. A police raid on Dokic's home turned up seven hunting rifles, a gun and a bomb, reports Blic.
