Even though it probably won't happen, I'm still desperately hoping Frank might request a wildcard here. I would be so happy if he plays here! Wildcards would most likely go to Polansky, Bester and then Chvojka/Pospisil/Raonic

Same with Penza tournament this week. The most annoying in those tournaments are the people who think we can get scores of the day before all matches are played. At least this website seems to update during the day with the finished matches. That's more than we had in Penza.

xavier is still playing? i still dont know why he retired in lexington..

http://www.lexingtonchallenger.com/saturday.pdf

Even though, Devvarman had a tough three-setter with No. 2 seed Bobby Reynolds in the second round, he’s the most rested finalist. He caught a break when Xavier Malisse – already down two service breaks at 4-1 – took a medical time-out. A couple of points later, the veteran who was once No. 19 in the world (August ’02), retired with tightness in his back and glutes. “While I’ll be a little fresher for the final, it’s not good to win this way,” Devvarman said. “But, it was an honor to step on the court with (Malisse), a guy who when he’s playing well is one of the best in the world.”

Malisse said he hopes to play Vancouver next week and then in the U.S. Open qualifying if he doesn’t get a wild card. Devvarman the Unbeaten, meanwhile, will try to add to his professional resume – which includes two Futures titles and seven straight wins in Lexington.

Never heard the word "glutes" before , but another report said "tightness in back and thigh".

I have seen Somdev play in person multiple times. I knew he was good, but I had no idea he would be this good at this high a level.

He used to have some pretty good matches with Todd Paul in the matches between University of Virginia and Wake Forest. They would always square off in both doubles and singles. Although Somdev won most of the time, they were always very close.

Good to see some ACC tennis players doing well.

"0-0 ret." is not a walk-over. It suggests Lu played a few points and retired. They should say "walk-over" if not. Makes a lot of difference for guys betting on challengers so hopefully the tournament will clear this up on the drawsheet.

I'm not sure when he retired, but the official reason on the atp drawsheet is a right hamstring injury. He probably pulled something, or maybe even tore a muscle in the first game if I were to guess.

" They had just started the match when Lu complained of not feeling well." That is a quote from the Vancouver Sun, vancouver's newspaper.

I hope, that KIM can win, but I´m afraid he is under dog in this case - PLESS is typical indoor player - plays very fast, great serve... I´m afraid KEVIN does not like the very fast surface...
Anyway - KRISTIAN is not playing his best tennis in these days, so hopefully Kevin can do it...

u need to get ur fact straight.

Kevin Kim already beat pless indoor this yr....in straight sets.

Kevin Kim is 7-3 indoors this year....

Pless is a double fault prone. Kim wins against pless in ANY surface....even if they move the venue to MARS....Kevin will still whoop pless's butt.
