Theyve got CORIA :worship: , Nalbandian , Gaudio (last Roland Garros champion)
And more who are great too (Zabalrta,Chela,Calleri,Cañas)
But specially for the ones above (and i dont specially :( like gaudio)

If we are just talking about one person, the USA easily. Take your pick from Serena of Venus (the latter is struggling, but she's still good) or also Capriati or Davenport. Then on the men's side there's Roddick. Take the highest ranked woman and male player for each country and I doubt anybody comes as close to the combined rankings for the USA. but as a whole group, I would have to say Russia (though every single one of them are headcases)

Belgium in women's, Argentina in men's

Women- USA (Russia has a lot of players but no really champions...do not call Myskina a champ please...)

Men- Spain

Apparently Roland Garros never really happened, if some posters are to be believed

one Grand Slam win doesnt make u a champ in my opinion. otherwise we would call champions also Johansson and Majoli.

Maybe the Roland Garros final wasn't the best match ever, but she won it. She defeated Capriati and V. Williams and even tought she had faced and easier drwan, she's a champion. If she's neither arrogant nor popular, doesn't matter

USA by far, then Russia (who has Safin + Sharapova, Myskina, Dementieva...)

Someone named Gaudio...that's a joke...i know he won RG bla bla bla..but he is not a player that can deliver. Won againt Nalb and Coria but they were injured but that's a different thread. USA, Australia and Spain produce better players. Australia is not in the list. :smash: Coria and Nalbandian are great players...as a team...they havent delivered as Spain or Australia. Until then Spain!

Gaudio won RG, he saved several "tounrnament points", he's not a joke, he's not lucky. He probably won't win another grand slam, but he's a champion though. Champion of the french championship.

Yeah..I named Gaudio. But not beacuse i think he is a great player or someone who represent the besto of Argentina. In fact, i think h is a nasty person and not an awesome tennis player. But i remeber, when he get to the final in Roland Garros, he has a lot of fans around here :( , who said he desreved it  , and now i named him just beacuse he won roland garros , not beacuse he is some tennis player to fear or respect ( I actually dislike Gaudio a lot, most of the people here in Argentina dislike him too)

What Id love is for Sharapova to win Wimbledon and then Dementieva to win the US Open ;)

Women - USA for sure
Men - Argentina ( I don't understand some who said Gaudio's a joke and didn't deserve the title. He's probably the most talented of all the argies but doesn't have heart of a champion, that's the problem )

wait scud as in best lookers? If so then Russia of course. Look at the russian ladies(NOT PETROVA! Sharapova and Kournikova). Then look at the Russian men(Safin!)

Lalitha

It's a thing called petty jealousy, that unfortunately some of the more illogical Coria fans still haven't got over the fact that Gaudio beat their hero to winning a Grand Slam and are still making excuses. As for the best nation in the mens it would between Spain and Argentina and the women it would be Russia then the USA.

Argentina's reserve of top talent is stunning. Jose Acasuso will rise one day.
