Predrag in MD :)

But doesn't mean anything. He is in bad form I hope for a easiest possible draw and at least for one win.
Also I would love Lazar to go through to the MD, so two Macedonians to challenger MD. That is something , I hope!

Very poor QD.

It's one the best qualifying draws among the challengers this week!
In some of the other challengers 40 year old retired veterans have virtual walk-overs in qualifying.
Really because of the high number of tournaments this week the draws are relatively weak especially for qualifying.

Kavcic was leading *5-1, and after that just stopped playing, Veic was solid, he was attacking the whole time, but the Slovenian gave up with no fighting at all after the tie break...

Werner was very good today, routine first set 6/3, Souza served phenomenally the first games in the secon, all aces and service winners, Werner was down *1/4, but as soon Souza failed to produce a good serve, Werner made it all his way....

Pere-Riba was attacking from the start, he made a lot of winners, but also many UE and DF, but he was by far the better player then Bardoczky....

(2) Carlos Berlocq (ARG) - (WC) Nikola Mektić (CRO) 7:5, 6:4

This wasn't my first time I saw Berlocq playing, he is the second seed in this challenger, but what he produces on court is just awful, I just can not understand how he was able to move up the rankings with so little talent and such a gamestyle. He won his match yesterday, but against a poor opponent, Mektic is a wannabe tennis player, and Berlocq was moonballing for almost 2 whole hours, he has the most unique and probably worst serving motion, just awful to watch, his bekhand is non-existing, and he stays 3 meters behind the line, this match was just time wasting, awful tennis..........

Eschauer vs. Souza was a great match under very tough conditions, it was very hot, and Ulihrach vs. Zovko was amateur tennis, they were breaking each other in WTA-style, the Czech oldie served at least 10 DF, IMO Werner will be the big favourite in this match, and of course we will be backing the Austrian veteran.....

YES, he is...
but it all about his head - he plays his top tennis in the practice and in the first 2-3 games of the match as well... I saw the match in prague with MEFFERT - Zib played very good, has had some early breakpoints, but missed them, made 2-3 unforced errors and his game totally exploded - started to argue and scream... and the match was almost over...
I hope Tomas will find his tennis again soon...

I think he will soon call it quits, to be honest. His ranking is going to fall so that he cannot even enter Challengers anymore if he keeps playing like this. Must say that I am surprised to see his current ranking is still #203.

Thomas Zib is ready for retirement, that was horrible tennis, Kukushkin could get far here, an new russian hero

Lorenzi is just awful, total lack of talent, Rochus routine win

Watched the first few matches...

Zib was horrible, terrible tennis and Kukushkin didn't have to do anything special to win this match...he will trash Riba tomorrow, Riba was very bad yesterday

Rochus had no problem with Lorenzi, I don't remember I watched such a bad player as Lorenzi, that was horrible to watch, easy one for Rochus

And Stakhovsky....dear God! Awful tennis, played dropshots the whole match, and hit maybe one or two, while Ferreiro was playing at his 65 percent, and the win never got into question...

Didn't watch Vanek match, but as far as I heard from my colleagues it should've finish in stragiht sets

I thought that myself about the brazilian, but he was in control of the match from the start, and he showed some nice touch and a good gameplan, I have never seen him play before, so it was a bit of a surprise, but he was in a good mood the day before, joking around the courts, practicing like a maniac, and it is obvious that he enjoys his stay in Zagreb...

Denis is mighty talented guy, but hes got sometimes his days :), and in these days he simply does not care at all and can lose to anybody - so I dont wonder at all...
I would not bet on him even a dollar against ANTONIO VEIC - there is no reason for German to play here, no sense for his ranking /59./ at all - even if he wins the title here, he will not move, he is just playing there for extra money, which he probaly got from the organizer... contrariwise VEIC, the homie young and promissing qualifier is gonna fight for each point, so bet on him is logical value... :wavey:
