Semis of a 10k is nearly the prize money of a 1st Round challenger 42,5k. But in a challenger you have allways hope for 2nd round and thats then really some money.

but I suppose Coria should beat him :)

He has been a senior since he turned 18 in the summer of last year. Has played futures qualifying draws since that time but not with much success.

Coria should beat him, but it wouldn't surprise me if he has trouble doing so.

The Danish champion, Søren Wedege, played his first match to day and according to Søren it was a great experience "To play Coria was a great honour. He is somewhat a legen. With Corias current ranking he is not the highest ranking player I hsve played, I once playes a German player ranked approx. 150. But if you ask someone on the street who the German guy is, they wont know him but I am quite sure most people know who Coria is"

The match started with an ace from Coria and that kind of set the standard. Søren fought the next game and equilased to 1-1. From there Coria didn't look back and won the first set 6-2 in convincing ways. Søren said afterwards that no matter what he hit Coria with it came right back at him... Second set was once again a convincing performance by Coria which he won 6-0. Søren was a bit to eager on his own serve and Coria just kept playing his own game.

Confirmed in the official page, it says:
Big big surprice in todays first match on Center Court between Coria and Navarro. unfortunately Coria had problems with his serv and made many double faults. He lost first set 7-6. The audiente tried to cheer him up for 2 set, but still Coria had big problems with serving and Navarro took a quick leed by 3-0. After that Coria got more hold of him serv and won 4 game. Navarro took the 5 game to 4-1, Coria keept on fighting and won 6 game. Navarro keept on believing in him self and won the 2 set 6-3 and thereby the match 7-6 and 6-3.

I saw Gimeno playing on a stream recently, he really has a nice forehand, plays a lot like Andreev. If he was stronger mentally he would be ranked much higher.
