Tommy is number 2 again!!!! But it's a long way to go to catch up to number 1. Safin has semifinals to defend, Haas 4th round and Hewitt the title.

Kafelnikov with semifinals and Pete with finals to defend seem almost certain to be falling further.

Doubtful Henman or Agassi (QF) will make a move. Ferrero and Moya may be headed up.

Boy, I can't wait for the Open to officially begin!!!:):D

like i posted, last yrs US Open pts have already been taken off.

Pete

Thomas Enqvist can really make a big gain since he lost to Phau last year :(

Hewitt can lose round one, and Haas can win it all and he still wont lose the top spot.

And Guga  Oh well...

Nimi
08-26-2002, 06:34 PM
Guga will rise back.
OMG @ Lleyton, this sucks. Go Tommy! Go Marat! But most importantly, GO ALEX! :bounce:

08-26-2002, 10:32 PM
remember haas has a great deal points to defend until the end of the year plus the injury his ranking will suffer

Roddick has a good chance to break through in the rankings.

TheBoiledEgg
08-31-2002, 08:45 AM
Roddick would have to make SF to hit top 10 and pigs will fly if he does make it there.

King Aaron

Come on Thomas!! Beat Haas and get back into top 20!

omg, I didn't realize that if he keeps it up Ferrero can get back into the top five (where he belongs) :D

Of course this requires doing better than Andre...we'll see we'll see :)

Chloe le Bopper

ANyone else notice that the point differential between number 14, and number 5 is only about 500 :o

TheBoiledEgg

I just hope to see Andre and Juanqui overtake the farmer

Chloe le Bopper
09-02-2002, 10:04 PM
Well apparently Juan Carlos will never be able to finish his match against Gonzo, let alone try and win it

Chloe le Bopper
09-02-2002, 10:04 PM
Even if he does get past Gonzo, he'll have to play 5 setters for like everyday

I hate this slam

Sjeng is #16 after getting to semis

TheBoiledEgg
09-06-2002, 01:10 AM
Pete drags himself upto #25 after making semis
but needs final to be back inside top 20

final for Sjeng = #12 on 1925

King Aaron
09-06-2002, 07:46 AM
:) :) go get in the top 20

it's a shame a legend like you would drop out of the top 20

J. Corwin

Pete can do it (with the Open), I faith in him. But I prefer for Andre to win it.

TheBoiledEgg
09-08-2002, 01:02 AM
Pete saves his skin and back in top 20
Marat #4

King Aaron
09-08-2002, 08:17 AM
Pete is barely in top 20 despite making the final again  I guess those wins against Agassi, Rafter and Marat last year really counted!!

Slammin'Schalken:)

Great to see Sjeng at #16.., it's well deserved..

I guess those wins against Agassi, Rafter and Marat last year really counted!!

They didn't count for anything, so to speak. The men don't get quality points.

Ryan
09-08-2002, 09:59 PM
No quality points? Kick Andre's ass Pete!:D

Ryan
09-08-2002, 10:35 PM
Go tommy!!!

TheBoiledEgg
09-08-2002, 11:37 PM
Pete climbs to #14

now the race is on for the one spot between Costa, Johansson and Sampras for the Masters Cup.

Johansson is highly unlikely to make it with his bad shoulder
Costa is hopeless indoors
Pete is in prime spot when it comes to indoor season

Pete needs to overtake Costa to make it to Shanghai

King Aaron
09-09-2002, 07:45 AM
Pete at 14! :) not that bad
