Safin will play in SopotWojtek 06-28-2004, 11:16 AM Agassi,Safin & Moya will play in Sopot. Andre :o :worship: jtipson 06-28-2004, 11:54 AM Agassi? On clay, in Europe? Why would he do that? CarnivalCarnage 06-28-2004, 12:03 PM No kidding. Source? Wojtek 06-28-2004, 12:07 PM No kidding. Source? It's in Polish http://sport.onet.pl/1020312,0,0,wia,942496,dyscyplina.html Deboogle!. 06-28-2004, 12:11 PM :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek: CmonAussie 06-28-2004, 12:17 PM Has Agassi lost his marbles???~o0o~ jtipson 06-28-2004, 12:20 PM I think he probably entered the tournament months ago, and will pull out. But the organisers will want to keep his name on the list for as long as they can. I'll be astonished if he actually plays. maratski 06-28-2004, 12:24 PM Sopot and Athens are in the same week so I wonder how big the chance is that Marat Safin and Carlos Moya will play there. Deboogle!. 06-28-2004, 12:27 PM Is Marat going to the Olympics? Didn't he just completely badmouth the whole concept of tennis as an Olympic sport? maratski 06-28-2004, 12:30 PM Didn't he just completely badmouth the whole concept of tennis as an Olympic sport? Yes, but that doesn't mean he'll stay away. He has patriotic duties, whether he likes them or not ;) Wojtek 06-28-2004, 12:30 PM I think he probably entered the tournament months ago, and will pull out. But the organisers will want to keep his name on the list for as long as they can. I'll be astonished if he actually plays. NO :o They close entry list today. Sopot it's IDEA PROKOM OPEN. Prokom owner is someone like Bill Gates in Poland so they will pay a lot of money. Deboogle!. 06-28-2004, 12:38 PM Yes, but that doesn't mean he'll stay away. He has patriotic duties, whether he likes them or not ;) I forgot.... this is Marat we're talking about  Still though... Andre playing on clay in Europe just a couple weeks before the US Open????? Wait a second. Andre is scheduled to play in Washington DC too. That's the week of the Olympics the tennis part. I cannot see Andre playing in clay in Poland and then the following week play on hardcourt in the US. Makes no sense  Wojtek 06-28-2004, 12:39 PM Me too :p ;) azza 06-28-2004, 12:41 PM Big whoop.. maratski 06-28-2004, 12:50 PM I can understand why tournament organizors will put all these names up cause a lot of people will choose to sit in front of the tv all day and watch the Olympic Games instead of going out. But it sucks to find out at the last moment that you're fave(s) won't play the tournament you plan to attend. PennyThePenguin 06-28-2004, 01:23 PM sopot? clay? u're kidding right? not that i've got anything against clay, but clay before the hard court season? hmm... and it being olympics week. nah. i agree with maratski, i think marat will be at the olympics. but who am i to say anything right? just an opinion Wojtek 06-29-2004, 04:03 PM Safin will play in 100% Agasi won't play. Also will play :Horna, Nadal ( he is on the list but he has still injury), Ferrer, A.Martin, Davydenko, Andreev. nitsansh 06-29-2004, 09:11 PM Those players who play in Athens might have to tank to get there in time... Is the final on Saturday? PennyThePenguin 06-30-2004, 03:07 AM that's just WEIRD! Leo 06-30-2004, 03:09 AM Agassi surely won't play. And I doubt that Safin will either. It doesn't make any sense whatsoever for them. And isn't Moya going to the Olympics? jumi 06-30-2004, 08:30 AM oh come on... Safin has already said that he WILL play Sopot and it's 100% sure (unless he has an injury or sth). Even if he's going to play the Olympics, he still can play in Sopot. It's his choice. And we all know that Marat doesn't really care about the Olympics, so.. why is that so weird for everybody that he decided to play Sopot? His sister was always saying that he wants to come to Poland and play here, because that's where Dinara has won her 1st title:) drf716 06-30-2004, 09:05 AM maybe marat will deliberately lose in the olympics li'l red 06-30-2004, 10:19 AM maybe marat will deliberately lose in the olympics well... won't be a difficult task for him... he's certainly good on that  seriously... i hope he'll play well whichever tournament he decides to play in.. here i go again... hoping... tennyfan 06-30-2004, 12:32 PM Marat has certainly dug himself into a hole with his comments recently. Me thinks he needs a good PR person in his court. But is it too late? Wojtek 07-01-2004, 06:52 AM Entry list http://www.menstennisforums.com/showthread.php?p=620916#post620916 He will play here in 100% ~EMiLiTA~ 07-01-2004, 06:03 PM Expect Nadal's name to be removed because he's been given a wildcard to play in the Olympics UrbanG 07-01-2004, 08:24 PM There is a better chance of us all winning the lottery then AA apearing at Sopot. Leo 07-01-2004, 08:26 PM I still don't think Safin will play Sopot. junekidd 07-01-2004, 09:25 PM I just want to know he will play which tournaments for sure! his clear schedule, where is it? BaselineSmash 07-02-2004, 02:38 PM To Tank In Sopot. He'd better not. claudine140 07-02-2004, 02:42 PM moya is in the olympic team of spain, so he will not play in sopot if it is at the same time!!!! BaselineSmash 07-02-2004, 03:53 PM Well, well. | |
