Oh, don't mention that semifinal. It's still so surreal that it hasn't really sunk in and I don't want it to, otherwise I'll ... or possibly beat the shit out of my television with a baseball bat... either way, it's not good.

That's why Lindsay must right her wrongs in singles (I can accept and deal with her losing to a Williams in a Slam and possibly even a Belgian, but not these friggin' Russians) by winning her 7th Slam (and 1st in mixed). If she doesn't though, I'd be very happy to see a nice, friendly, and talented team like S&S win it. Or maybe even Navratilova just to break the record and steal it from BJK, who I happen to dislike very much.

Schuettler and Schett are really serious!!! They are proving to be a good team. And attractive too. I think they should run off and get married and have kids! Hehehe.

As for Lindsay, I'm sad that she lost. She should have won that match, especially with how she's been playing. Stupid rain delay. Oh well, as long as Maria beats Serena's ass on Saturday, fine by me.

In fact, I'm yet to actually watch the US Open men's final from last year (after the first 1 and a half game)! Although, I probably have taped over it by now.

Anyway, I did watch the first two sets yesterday and it was not easy. The worst part was when it starting raining when Davenport was in an awesome serving groove at 2-1 right after JMac joked that Sharapova should be praying for rain... that evil man.

Have you got to be kidding me? The second mixed doubles semi is playing 2nd on Court 2 tomorrow (after the women's dubs final - which, btw, should not be on such a small show court), and then the winner of that match will most likely have no time to recover for the final against an awesome team in Woodbridge/Molik! :fiery: That's such crap. Damn those schedulers! it's not fair! They probably just want that ass Woodbridge to win yet another Wimbledon title.

Leo
07-03-2004, 07:40 PM
Ooops, I just remembered that Woodbridge is up first on Court 1 tomorrow for the men's dubs final, which is even Best of 5. So he should be tired just like Bob/Lindsay or Wayne/Cara (She will be especially exhausted since she is in the women's dubs final and could possibly be playing 3 matches in one day - all after some epic battles in the past couple of days). Molik will be the only fresh competitor in the mixed dubs final tomorrow.

Anyway, let's hope all those matches end quickly while Federer wins in a long 4-set match. And then there should still be enough time for NBC to show the mixed dubs final!

They should be as Cara Black will be playing her 3rd match of the day.

no it would be her second because she plays the ladies doubles final then the mixed semi v lindsay/bob and if she wins that then the mixed final will be her third :)

I was at Wimby today and saw the Rainer/Babsi Vs The Blacks match :D It was a good spectacle, but Cara and Wayne had too much doubles experience for Babsi and Rainer. Cara was the best player on the court! Rainer and Babsi look like they have a lot of fun on the court though. They make a great pair!

Rainer and Babsy  :crying2: ...

Good luck to Lindsay and Bob. It would be a nice farewell for Davenport

And Cara Black is on a roll right now  :yeah:

Sharapova won

Rainer fans!!! Dun be too upset!!! I think they did great to reach the quarterfinals and their scoreline was close...if anything, i think they did better than expected!!! :bounce:

Hopefully, they combine their forces again in the US Open!!! :)

When I post this, the mixed double SF was supposed to play on Saturday, not Sunday.
