Why the seeds are falling in Miami?

What is going on? Why are the seeded players falling so fast at the Sony Ericsson. Is it the surface or what can it be?

First off because we are living in a parallel universe;)
But truthfully for me it is because men's tennis is very deep. There are lots of very good players that on any given day in any given tounament will just be able to put it all together. We were a bit lulled over the last few years because Nadal and Federer were so dominant but that was not the norm I think.

A lot of people on MTF will have looked at the draw and said that virtually none of the seeds are guaranteed to go through and it wouldn't be a surprise if they didn't however for so many to have fallen in unison is most definitely surprising.

The level of play is high from No1 right through to No150, thus displaying the huge depth in strength of the modern ATP tour.

Certainly you have never been in Miami. I will tell you something.. when they are there... they go out all the nights, they got drunk and take subtances than must be banned by the ITF. And the amount of groupies have increased. Make your math! They are athletes, not superheros!

Seriously, I think it's the first round bye. The seeded players have to face players who have played at least a match and are more adapted to the conditions of the courts.

Wow- there has been a shearing of the seeds. And one of the seeds to survive is Almagro- on hard. :lol: (Although I feel he has the game to play on slow to medium hard...he never seems to be able to do it.)
