What is going on? Why are the seeded players falling so fast at the Sony Ericsson. Is it the surface or what can it be?
Why the seeds are falling in Miami?zadle69 03-29-2008, 06:38 PM What is going on? Why are the seeded players falling so fast at the Sony Ericsson. There are lots of very good players that on any given day in any given tounament will just be able to put it all together. We were a bit lulled over the last few years because Nadal and Federer were so dominant but that was not the norm I think. maxxo 03-29-2008, 06:45 PM What is going on? And it's all part of this 2008 paralel universe, my friend. When a favourite wins a match is almost an upset now. :) platinum 03-29-2008, 06:48 PM Tennis is a great sport, anyone can beat anyone. Montego 03-29-2008, 07:20 PM I cannot see any real surprise except Anderson - Djokovic till now, so I don't know what's the fuss all about.... JustJames 03-29-2008, 07:39 PM I cannot see any real surprise except Anderson - Djokovic till now, so I don't know what's the fuss all about.... A lot of people on MTF will have looked at the draw and said that virtually none of the seeds are guaranteed to go through and it wouldn't be a surprise if they didn't however for so many to have fallen in unison is most definitely surprising. G4. 03-29-2008, 07:46 PM roddick might be next ChinoRios4Ever 03-29-2008, 07:53 PM one of the top MTF cliches is the right phrase for this moment: MUG ERA! JustJames 03-29-2008, 07:57 PM one of the top MTF cliches is the right phrase for this moment: MUG ERA! Really? Surely that depends on how one views it.. Either.. The top players are weaker so they are getting beaten more regularly by below average players, Or... The level of play is high from No1 right through to No150, thus displaying the huge depth in strength of the modern ATP tour. I would plump for the latter.. Seriously the ATP right now is too tight, i dont know what is happening right now, but the level of the game is not very good nowadays Labamba 03-29-2008, 08:25 PM It's the curse of the bye Garson007 03-29-2008, 08:27 PM It's the curse of the bye What's that? Dubai? :P zethand 03-29-2008, 09:21 PM What is going on? Why are the seeded players falling so fast at the Sony Ericsson. Is it the surface or what can it be? Certainly you have never been in Miami. I will tell you something.. when they are there... they go out all the nights, they got drunk and take subtances than must be banned by the ITF. And the amount of groupies have increased. Make your math! They are athletes, not superheros! But I've been seeing some nice tennis again, or even if it sucks, at least there's something to talk about again. Lee 03-29-2008, 11:39 PM I think it's a little bit early to say this since not all the seeds have played in Miami. It's better to talk about this after today's schedule is finished. leng jai 03-29-2008, 11:49 PM Its because Miami is a shitty TMS. zadle69 03-30-2008, 03:39 AM more seeds fell today. how many more you think will fall tomorrow? both on the women and men side fallen seeds today. what is going on? TMJordan 03-30-2008, 03:45 AM Tennis sucks. Lee 03-30-2008, 03:50 AM :rolls: J' Seriously, I think it's the first round bye. The seeded players have to face players who have played at least a match and are more adapted to the conditions of the courts. Clara Bow 03-30-2008, 03:58 AM Wow- there has been a shearing of the seeds. And one of the seeds to survive is Almagro- on hard. (Although I feel he has the game to play on slow to medium hard...he never seems to be able to do it.) TMJordan 03-30-2008, 04:12 AM It's kinda sad with all these seeds falling and we are going to have a Federer/Nadal final here.
