French Shrimp has just finished ****** the American Fish in broad daylight.

the score: 6-3, 6-3

Arnaud Clement proves to be just too much for Mardy Fish today. Lets bring in Federer so he can take some notes.

It wouldn't be the first time we see a player making an amazing run at one tournament and bail out in the first round of the next one thereafter...

However, I give Fish the benefit of the doubt.

I wouldn't say back to mediocrity, it's called matchup. Clement loves matching against good ball strikers like Mardy, who aren't particularly good at defense and who's movement is not stellar.

Oddly enough Andy Murray finds it hard to match against Clement as well. He's one of those pesky players that can frustrate you with his counterpunching ability and awesome speed and defense.

Maybe Fish will realize that it is more than just injuries that
have kept him from being consistently in the top 20.

Nah............it's just Mardy being Mardy...........

I didn't watch the match but I did watch his IW matches. He was painting the lines with that high risk game of his and he couldn't anymore. That is how it works out. Clement has been playing atrocious lately.

Finally back to some normality in the world of tennis

Fish put in a tremendous effort last week. he beat some real monsters like Davydenko, Hewitt, Nalby, and Fed.

i knew he would be flat today.

Well he can comfort himself with burgers and pizzas as usual. Dude is fat for a tennis player. Love handles and beer belly, what joke!!!!

Excluding Davis and Hopman Cup duty, Clement had lost his last 8 matches prior to this victory today. It's no surprise to see Fish bowing out early at Miami, so soon after the great run he had at IW. That sort of thing happens to so many players.

There you go. And defeats many seeds along the way. :)

But, really. I think Reynolds is the one to watch. ;)

same thing happened to gonzo, murray, now Fish.

After beating Federer, you lose. Unless you're name is Djokovic, or Nadal.

Zero surprise. Very few players ever play well in back-to-back tournaments on this level, let alone TMS events.

NOt really. He played great tennis all week and deserved to be in the finals because of his aggressive play. His serve (when he got it in), his volleying, his BH, and his return of serve were great to watch all week.

Nalby had that match on his racquet. i dont know why he didnt just close it out.

he withstood no less than 23 aces from Fish and still put himself in a position to take the match.
