Great fighting Gulbis :worship:

There was a long pause after the second set and one more in the middle of the third. Anyone know what that was about, an injury?

Unexpectedly difficult but well done anyway. :yeah:

If anyone was injured it was probably the old man.

well from the score in the last set, i would think that Hrbaty may have had an injury.

in any case, Gulbis moves on to deal with Davydenko. i hope he beats the crap out of Davydenko the same way Fish beat him up at Indian Wells.

if i am not mistaken, Fish slapped DavySHANKO 2 and 3.

Was this Hrbaty's first match back? If so winning a set isn't bad but his career might be just about over anyway. It's kind of a shame. He makes the Paris final and a year later he's almost out of the top 200. I'll never forget when Fed tanked that match against him in Cincy.

Erno made seven DF's and Hrbaty figured that he wouldn't let this blow-in upstage him... "Hey anything you can do, kid - I can do." and went and threw in 10 double faults for good measure.

Anyone can beat Davydenko these days...

So Gulbis has a chance.
