I dont know why good clay courters like Moya, Kuerten, Fererro, Coria, etc. skip Wimbledon, because hell, it could end up being their favorite surface.

Good job, Moya. :worship: If u really want to be a top 5 player you can't waste the points of a Grand Slam, even if it's played on broken glass.

Moya is certainly no Clay specialist :fiery: How dare people think that  He's great on hardcourts too. And he owns Hewitt, so he should play with full confidence. I see Carlos' big serve is being very effective on the grass ;) :D

Well done to Moya, now he just needs to beat Hewitt which I think he is able to do especially since he has got a good record against him. He is a good grass court player considering that he loves to play on clay.

not so sure if Carlos owns Hewitt also on grass ;)

They've never played on grass though. But with Moya's huge serve, he'll win alot of cheap points. He'll manuver Hewitt with his big forehand. And he volleys well, and will finish points at the net. Drop shots can be effctive as well, which he does very well. He has all the weapons to go far in this tournement and certainly to beat Hewitt.

Enhorabuena Carlos! Maybe you have surprised a lot of people by getting this far, but, hey - there's no pressure here for you ... relax, go get those first serves in (blink & you miss 'em!) and take Lleyton out too ... it is definitely possible!! It could also silence those who have already assumed Federer's quarter-final opponent is Hewitt.
Vamos Carlos, stay cool and make this Wimbledon upset ... don't let Lleyton (via Newcombe) get inside your head!

Mmm, do I hear Newcombe whispering to Lleyton that Moya can't play on grass??? Oh, no, maybe that was Newk telling Mark that Carlos can't play on grass in Melbourne D.C. final!! :)

Moya simply used to skip Wimby because he didn't agree with the seeding system here, none ever said he's good or bad at grass.
Spanish, Argies and all that used to be called claycourters have shown they're far beyond that with their games
