Can't see anyone being competitive in Nole's quarter. Can't see much in Nadal's quarter to stop Nole getting to the final.

Unless Fed gets some form, anyone from the other side could meet Nole in the final.

The way he was moving even Roddick could've violated him.

But, this loss to Fish somehow puts his losses to Nole and Andy this year into perspective, does it not?

Edit: BTW how come Federer is winning this poll? He's either ill or declining - whatever it might be, I don't see what warrants him of being the 'favourite' for Miami. I'd say Djokovic is the favourite, he's on a roll...

I'm not talking about history, I'm talking about his current performances. He owns 12gs, does that mean nobody can EVER criticize his performance? What if he continues to play like shit the rest of the year? Are you still gonna bring back Fed's past glories to somehow excuse his obvious current decline?

P.S - If Fish did to Novak what he did to Fed you'd be the FIRST one on MTF expressing your joy. No need for double standards.

Talk about decline if he doesn't increase his slam record by the end of 2009...

Don't worry...Nadal definitely has a chance. Who knows, it might be a repeat of last year where Nadal beats Novak in IW, wins the title, and then Novak beats him in Miami and wins the title only the other way around this time. Never rule out Nadal.

Apemant

Don't worry...Nadal definitely has a chance.

Yep if Nole is tired. IW suits Nadal better than Miami - if he lost comfortably there I don't see him beating Nole here. Unless, as I said, Nole produces a TMC-esque display.

Nadal has to wait for clay for a real chance to get his revenge over Nole. On HC I just don't see him as a threat to Nole - his greatest strength, i.e. his mental fortitude and relentlessness, just doesn't work against Nole who has a similar kind of strength of mind (if not even more so). Also, his topspin can't possibly break Nole's BH. So, it's a bit of a nightmarish matchup for him.

I really wonder what it's going to look like on clay though. Last year Nole wasn't so full of himself yet. I have a nasty feeling it will be hard for Nadal even on sacred clay.

Đoković will win, if he doesn't lose before SF. In that case, Federer.

I totally feel the same way.

I really want him to win, but I am afraid he will still be tired from Indian Wells..

If he is ok, I dont think he will have any big problem defending his points.

Let's see.

He'll defend majority of his points...don't see him getting knocked out before semis.

No way. Djokovic playing the best he knows would just destroy nalbandian. I have no doubt about that.

I think it's more the other way around. Maybe the two playing their best would give a hell of a good tennis match with un uncertain winner.

Remember that match in Madrid semis between Nalbandian and Djokovic. That tournament was Nalbandian at his pretty much best. Novak was definitely not at his best then, and still it was pretty close match. Novak at his best would beat Nalbandian almost every time simply because Novak at his best has a huge advantage over Nalbandian - his serve. Nalbandian may have more creative game, he may have better shots etc, but all that becomes irrelevant when you have to deal with a great 1st and 2nd serves. Novak would win his games relatively easy and put pressure on Nalbandian's serve...

well, it would be for sure a hell of a tennis match.

Still, I'd have to say that djokovic would win. I believe that when djokovic is playing his best on hardcourts, only federer, also at his best, would be capable of beating him.

How often do you see matches where both players are at their best? It's the strange MTF logic that a certain player at is best is superior than another. Same goes for Safin, who is according to MTF better as Federer as it best.

Give Nalbandian a bit credit for his performance in Madrid :) He had a great run in that time of the year and one of the keys back than was his serve.

Novak is an excellent player, but sorry, I just think it's pure exaggeration to say that he would win every match against Nalbandian.

If I have to bet it would be Roddick. But I hope Novak somehow.
