ERNESTS GULBIS forum request

Hello everyone! :wavey:

Ernests Gulbis is a 19 year-old player from Latvia. He is talented, and very promising (though I concur that some people would beg to differ :)) and I'd like to represent his fans on this boards in requesting a forum for him.

Some facts:
* Gulbis made the semi-finals of ATP St Petersburg in 2006 as a wildcard in his ATP debut. He lost to Mario Ancic in the SF (who went on to win the tournament.)

* Gulbis' first Challenger title was in Eckental in 2006. He had previously made two CH finals in the same year. To date, he has won 4 Challengers (Eckental '06; Besancon '07; Sarajevo '07 and Mons '07)

* Gulbis peformed pretty decently in his Grand Slam debut in 2007:
- he reached the second round of Roland Garros (def. Henman in straight sets in R1)
- lost to eventual quarterfinalist Marcos Baghdatis in 4 sets at Wimbledon

* His career-high ranking is #46 on 8 October 2007


Gulbis currently has a thread (http://www.menstennisforums.com/showthread.php?t=82497) in the Rest of The World section, and it had 2412 posts at the moment.

We'd really appreciate it if you'd help us get Gulbis (or Erno, as I call him :)) a forum of his own. Please vote! :bounce:

Loved watching Gulbis last year at the USO! Definitely a young talent worthy of a forum and I know his fans are very dedicated and active :p

Ernests seems to have a LOT of fans here on MTF - they deserve their own place to talk about him - so I vote YES!

This guy has one of the biggest forehand on the tour, its up there with Monfils and Gulbis is only 19. crazy stuff I will vote for him to get one, Latvian tennis is starting to come through with their number two player playing well too.
